- the barricade was just made and chaos reigned the streets of france
- the café waitresses were cuddling together in café in fear. you however were keeping your head up high as you sat on a wooden chair, watching your friends make history
- "grantaire!" enjolras shouted to the drunk
- "yeah?"
- "get more wood."
- he looks around and stops when he sees you sitting on a wooden chair, fiddling with the hem of your dress
- he blushes at the sight of you but straightens out and turns back to enjolras
- "um, there's n-no more wood to add"
- the leader furrows his eyebrows and searches the area, stopping on you. "sure there is." he points to you and grantaire immediately shakes his head
- "don't make me go over there-"
- "oh god, you're still not over her. grow a pair dammit!"
- grantaire silently whines and slowly walks into the café
- "um y-y/n?"
- "grantaire! are you alright?!" you worriedly ask, still on the chair
- "yes. i, uh, need the chair-"
- "what? no"
- "y/n-"
- "you already stripped the café of its belongings!"
- "but it's for the barricade!"
- "it's tall and strong enough!"
- he turns his head and mumbles to himself
- "i apologize for this"
- "for wh-"
- he grabs the sides of your face and pulls you into a deep kiss. he closes his eyes and enjoys the kiss for a split second before reaching an arm back to grab the chair, never breaking the kiss. you wrap your arms around his neck and pull him closer
- he pulls the furniture from the wall and pulls away from the kiss. you both keep your close embrace, noses and foreheads touching
- he pecks your lips one last time before releasing your cheeks and running off with the chair
