"Would you like some gum?" She asks as she pulls out another piece from her bag.
"Um, is it sugarless?"
She looks down and reads the wrapper, "sorry, it's not."
"Oh, then no thanks." I say with a small smile and wave of my hand.
What the hell was that? Mental note: If Y/n L/n offers you gum, you take it. If she offers you mangled animal carcass, you take it!
I chew on the inside of my cheek and lean off the table. "You know, on second thought, gum would be perfection." She gives me a strange and questioning look but nevertheless, hands me a piece of gum. I take it and nod my head at her.
Gum would be perfection'?! 'Gum would be perfection.' Could have said 'gum would be nice,' or 'I'll have a stick,' but no, no, no, no. For me, gum is perfection. I loathe myself.
I bang my head over my arms on the table. I lift my head and chew the gum slowly.
Hm, watermelon... Y/n likes watermelon, I like watermelon. Ah, let's see. What next? Blow a bubble. A bubble's good. It's got a... boyish charm, it's impish. Here we go.
I turn and wait until Y/n is looking, then start to blow a bubble. I dig my hands into my pockets and tilt my head up slightly. But instead of blowing a bubble, the gum spits out of my mouth and hits the wall. I close my eyes and mentally face palm before coolly looking over to the model. Y/n gives a small smile and shake of her head. I lightly scrunch my nose up as she looks away and continues to play with a strand of her hair.
Nice going, imp. Okay, it's okay. All I need to do is reach over and put it back into my mouth.
Still facing her, I slyly reach my arm behind me to grab the gum from the wall. My hand searches the desk until I feel the gooey texture of chewing gum grace my fingertips. I take the gum and slide it back into my mouth.
Good save! We're back on track, and I'm...
I grimace.
...chewing someone else's gum. This is not my gum. Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh and now you're choking!
I feel my throat start to close. I ball my hands into fists as I loudly cough.
"Are you alright?" She asks from the floor.
I try to save face and makes the 'OK' sign with my hands.
"My God, you're choking!" She runs over and gives me the Heimlich, resulting in the gum flying from my mouth. I lightly clutch my throat as she walks to face me. "That better?" I continue to gasp and stroke my throat. "Yes... thank you. That was... that was..."
"Perfection?"
I smile and looks down, feeling my cheeks warm.

Y/n and I are currently sitting below the counter with two pens dangling from their chains in front of us. She untangles a loose knot recently formed in the chain connected to the pen as she speaks.
"Aaron, we've been here for an hour doing this! Now watch, it's easy."
"Okay."
"Ready?" I nod my head. Y/n takes the pen and swings it around her head in a circle. She bobs her head back and forth, never letting the pen hit her. It finally hits her head after about three circles. "Oh, well I messed up, but you try." I gently take the pen and try to mime her actions, but I end up getting hit in the head with the pen.
"No, you've got to whip it." She says with a hand gesture representing a whip. I swing the pen roughly, and it snaps back and almost hits me again. Y/n laughs and leans back on her elbows as the pen spins in her direction, almost hitting her. I smile and try to grab the wild pen.

At George's apartment, the gang all sit around the coffee table, watching the last dim candle. Fra sat on the floor in front of the candle, shushing everybody as it came to its supposed end. "Oh, look look look. The last candle's about to burn out. 10, 9, 8, 7..."

"... negative 46, negative 47, negative 48..."
Someone blows it out and the room gets completely dark.
"Thank you." Eddie says thankfully. "Yeah, thanks." Fra says. By his tone, it was easy to know he rolled his eyes. "Kinda... spooky without any lights." Killian comments as he shuffles on the couch. The room is quiet. Until it's not.
"Bwah-hah-hah!"
Eddie's maniacal laugh echoes in the darkness. Everyone soon starts to imitate him. Their evil laughs soon fade and the room is silent again.
"Hey, any news on Aaron?" Hugh asks. George's snort is heard and all attention is on him. "Let's see... beautiful girl," he takes one hand out with his palm facing the ceiling, "Aaron" he does the same with the other hand. He waves his hands up and down, each hand in opposition to the other.
"What? Do you think it's going well?" Hugh asks curiously. Eddie scoffs. "Do red and black make orange?"
"No-"
"Exactly."
The men laugh and the same shuffling is heard from the couch, most likely from Killian. "Poor guy... oh well, who's up for never have I ever, dark mode edition?" They all mumble agreements and chatter amoungst themselves to see who should start the game first, but are interrupted by the lights turning on.
"Huh. Well, see you all tomorrow."
The boys exit George's apartment and head to their own establishments.

The emergency lights turn off, resulting in Y/n and I sitting in darkness, until the power comes back on seconds later. Y/n gathers her belongings into her lap before rising up and wiping her pants. I copy her actions and look up to the ceiling.
"Well, this has been fun." She says, making me look down to meet her eyes. "Yes. Yes, thanks for letting me use your phone... and for saving my life." She nods and looks down to her shoes.
"Well," she looks back up and smiles at me, "goodbye Aaron. I had a great blackout." She places a hand on my right cheek and leans in to kiss me on the left cheek. "See ya." She adjusts her purse on her shoulder and exits the vestibule. I softly place my hand on where she had kissed me and smile before quickly turning to the doors and pressing my face to the glass door after her, stroking the window lovingly. I then turn to the security camera just above the doors.
"Hi, um, I'm account number 7143457. And, uh, I don't know if you got any of that, but I would really like a copy of the tape." I plead with my hands pressed together "in prayer".
