CHAPTER TWENTY - SEVEN :
"Friendship Necklace"
"Coming!"
Jaerin shouted when she heard Seokjin's voice calling out to her outside their dorm to hurry up,
Seokjin is going to the supermarket and the youngest decided to join him and of course, when Jaerin is present, Jeongguk is there.
Putting her baseball cap on top of her head, she went out of the dorm and saw Seokjin and Jeongguk waiting for her while leaning down on the railings of the stairs and swear, Seokjin is ready to leave the girl.
They started going down the stairs as Jaerin pat her jeans pocket and smiled when she felt the money that she kept still there,
They saw their Manager's van parked across the street so they quickly went inside the vehicle, not forgetting to greet their manager a good day,
They sat down on the seats, Seokjin in the first row and the two youngest in the third row on the very back.
"Hold me tight before I kiss you, before my heart lets you go, say what you want, say what you want.
What is it that you really want?" Jaerin sang her line in their unreleased comeback song as she held her non-existing mic in front of her lips, closing her eyes,
"A bad bad girl on the outside,
An even more bad bad girl on the side
If you lose a guy like me, you'll regret it—" Jeongguk and Jaerin rapped Yoongi's line but failed as they can't hold back their laughters that is now filling the whole van they're in.
"Okay, golden maknaes, I understand that you two are very talented." Seokjin chuckled together with their manager who's also laughing with the mischievous members.
Soon enough, they reached the supermarket and went out of the van as Jaerin fixed her baseball cap as she wore it properly.
The window on the shotgun seat rolled down and they looked at their manager who's leaning down a little to see the members properly,
"I'll go back to the company, just text me if you're already done, okay?" their manager said as the trio nodded obediently before waving goodbye to their kind manager as they went inside the supermarket.
"Hyung, I'm bored." Jeongguk whined as Seokjin shook his head and continued to buy stuffs so that they can live in the dorm a little longer without starving.
"I'm bored, too." Jaerin pouted as she held the sides of the shopping cart as Seokjin pushed it to whatever aisle he's going to,
It kind of surprised Jaerin that she actually felt bored in a grocery store as she always loved going into one as she can pick her own things or simply admire people shopping together with their loved ones or with themselves.
She told herself that she'll enjoy the times like this that she can still go out in the public without being mobbed at or people just taking pictures of her while asking for her autograph.
"Jin~" another whine came from the female maknae as Seokjin heaved out a deep sigh, digging in his pocket to find any cash for the two naughty kids that he's kind of regretting going to the grocery with,
Seokjin stretched out his hand and handed the two cash to do whatever they want as long as they'll stop pestering him and whine non-stop about them being bored or their legs giving up due to the long walking which is not even that long in Jin's opinion.
The youngest's smile brightened as they told Seokjin a quick thank you before running towards the exit of the grocery area going to no one knows who.
Giggles left their mouth as they ran and passed every shop in the mall.
They stopped running to catch their breathes as they looked around to find anything that might catch their attention,
Jaerin turned around and saw this cute, aesthetic shop. The moment her eyes landed on the shop, she can't seem to remove her eyes on the shop that somehow pleased her eyes.
"Gguk," she called her fellow maknae who hummed and stood beside her, looking at the shop where she's intently looking at.
"Can we go inside, please?" she asked as Jeongguk nodded, making Jaerin jump and squeal a little as she pulled the boy to the shop while holding his wrist gently.
The moment they stepped foot on the shop, the female vocalist's heart did a little somersault due to how pretty and cute the interior of the shop is.
It's not too girly and not too boyish, it fit every gender and age and it's obvious that the interior was well-thought.
A black bunny ears caught her eyes and she immediately smiled as she looked back to see Jeongguk standing beside her as his eyes widened when he realized that she's looking at him with evil eyes,
"W-Why?"
Jaerin took the bunny ears and placed it on his fluffy hair as the boy immediately removed it but Jaerin put it on him again as she took a picture using her phone before giggling and putting it back on her pocket.
They walked deeper to the aesthetically pleasing shop, giggling from time to time when they see something that make them giggle, putting on things on each other and taking a picture and some sort.
"Gguk, look!" she said and walked to the jewelry side of the shop where shining jewelries are displayed and are waiting for someone to buy and cherish it,
Her eyes went wide when the silver and gold jewelries that are displayed shined right before her eyes due to the light that's coming from the open window,
Jaerin is not a fan of jewelries, she wore a bracelet when she was young but it got lost when the string that's holding every piece broke.
She traced the jewelries using her fingertips as she dragged her finger on the glass that's protecting it, admiring each and every of them.
Out of all the silver jewelries, a particular one caught her attention and it stood out in her vision like a sore thumb, like it's a boy that has his hair dyed blone out of all the people who has dark black hair.
"Do you want to see this necklace, Ma'am?" she flinched in shock when someone spoke as she looked up and saw that it's one of the staffs that's assigned in the area as what it said on the metal plate on her chest.
"Y-Yes.." she answered as the staff smiled and opened the glass cabinet using a key as she took out the necklace and carefully placed it on the vocalist's hands.
It was a simple yet meaningful,
"It's a necklace and a bracelet at the same time, you can turn it into a necklace or a bracelet whenever you want to." the staff said which made Jaerin nod in awe,
It was a Yin and Yang, a friendship necklace that will be whole when it's connected and brought together.
The two symbols are very different from each other, it's the complete opposite, yin, being the dark and negative one, yang, being the white and the positive one.
After so many hesitations, she bought the necklace using the money that Seokjin gave her and the money that she brought from her savings.
"Thank You," she bowed before leaving the shop as she saw Jeongguk approaching, his hands on his pockets as he fixed his beanie, trying his best not to make eye contact with the fans that recognized him.
"I bought something~" she sang and shook the small paper bag in her hands in front of Jeongguk as they started to walk to the grocery area to wait for Seokjin who's still busy picking out supplies they need.
"What is it?" he asked as Jaerin sat down on a vacant table as Jeongguk followed suit, staring at Jaerin who's busy unwrapping the paper bag due to curiosity.
"Jajan!" she raised the necklaces as Jeongguk's brows knitted together due to confusion,
"It's a friendship necklace, Gguk." she said in a duh tone as she placed the black necklace in his hand as she smiled at the white one that's hers.
"You bought this with your own money?" he unbelievably asked as the girl nodded with a smile,
She treasures her friendship with Jeongguk a lot as they're the closest in age among the group and they share a bed that made them closer,
These days, they often fight but it's just shallow arguments but they fought to the point that Jaerin slept in Namjoon's bed that night as she doesn't want to share a bed with her so-called enemy that day.
Just like the Yin and Yang, they might be different but once they apologize to each other, it's like the fight never happened at all just like a complete yin yang.
"It can be turned into a bracelet, let's wear it as bracelets first." Jaerin said as she wore hers with the help of Jeongguk and he wore his with the help of her.
They smiled when they connected the yin and yang as they high-fived,
"Thank You, Jae. You're the best." Jeongguk said as he ruffled his best friend's hair with a smile, making her fringe messy as she whined and brushed it using her fingertips in attempt to fix it and put it back in place.
In revenge, Jaerin pinched his cheeks as she giggled loudly when his bunny teeth showed, "Cute!"

They froze in their spots when they heard a camera sound as they saw Seokjin holding his phone as he took a picture of his dongsaengs,
"Aigoo! So cute!" Seokjin cooed as the two pouted,
"What did the two of you did?" he asked as he sat down beside the two, pressing his manager's number to text him that they're already done with their grocery stop.
"Jae bought us friendship bracelets!" Jeongguk showed the bracelet that's wrapped in his wrist as Jaerin did the same,
"Cute!" Seokjin said as he took a picture to post on their twitter later.
"We're going to be bestfriends forever!" Jaerin exclaimed as she raised her fist into the air, grabbing the attention of the shoppers as the oldest quickly brought her fist down and bowed his head while apologizing to them.
"Jae!" Jaerin said as Jeongguk smiled,
"Kook!"
They laughed and walked towards the exit of the mall to go home after the long day of shopping.
