You strangely awoke to the sound of Ahsoka's bedroom door opening, followed by a quick couple of footsteps of someone entering the room and standing at the foot of the bed.
"Ahsoka, we need to go they found..." The person who entered was Anakin, and upon seeing you beside Ahsoka, his obvious anger from the night before grew in intensity. "What the hell are you doing here!?" He gritted.
You gulped. "Anakin, n-nothing happened. I swear to you. I just sleep here." Anakin's gaze on you never broke.
"Master, what did they find?" Ahsoka questioned, trying to draw her masters attention towards herself. Anakin turned his head towards Ahsoka but his eyes still locked on yours. Eventually they made the flick over to Ahsoka.
"Master Yoda gave me the location of the sniper. We're going to get him now!" Anakin ordered.
"I'll be waiting in the landing bay by our speeders, be quick." Anakin demanded as he left the room, leaving the door open.
Ahsoka rolled out of your embrace and got out of bed. "Do you want to come?"
"No thank you. I think I'll keep out of Anakin's way." You replied without hesitation. Ahsoka nodded as she continued to pull her dress over her arms and body, finally clipping it at the back of her neck.
She attached her two hilts to her belt before turning to you and leaning over the bed. "Well, see ya. Love you." She placed a kiss on your cheek before walking back towards the open door.
"Love you too. Be safe." You told her. She sent you a small wave before the door slid closed and you were left back in the silence and darkness of the night. You figured Ahsoka could be a while so you decided to try and get as much rest as you could for tomorrow.
~
Ahsoka had come back in the morning to wake you up. Her and Anakin were able to arrest the sniper who killed Obi-wan which did give you some reassurance and comfort, knowing a dangerous killer is now behind bars.
Right now, the sun was setting on Coruscant. It peered straight into the halls of the temple as you walked with Ahsoka towards Obi-wan's resting place. You both wore robes, with the hood covering your head as a sign of respect. Funeral's at the temple were rather silent reflective from what you were told. There wasn't any scheduled speeches or eulogies.
You arrived at the location you were told, seeing the large group of all Jedi council members and many other masters waiting by the door. Padmé and Satine also stood there, sharing the grievance with each other. While Anakin stood by himself to the side, his hood was so far over you couldn't see his face.
After silently waiting with Ahsoka by your side, the door opened and everyone slowly flowed into the dimly-lit room. You stepped over to the Mandalorian Duchess, standing beside her as Obi-wan's covered body came into your view.
Soon, everything was silent. And all of those in the room reflected on the great man and Jedi Obi-wan was. You thought about the good memories with Obi-wan. Him teaching you basic lightsaber moves with Master Plo, the stories he told you about his and Anakin's adventures before the clone wars. And of course, the one that sat closest to your heart, the first time you saw him. When he found you sitting in that small hole in the floor, and him taking you in caring arms and bringing you to a place where you could live out your life. 'Goodbye Obi-wan' You said internally, finally accepting that his life had come to an end...and that he would no longer be partaking a role in yours.
His body lowered into the floor and was sealed shut by heavy concrete doors. A beam of yellow light shot up from the center of his grave, signally the end of the funeral.
Everyone slowly started to peel off and exit the room without a word being uttered. You were the second last to leave, letting Anakin stay by himself for a moment.
You felt a gentle tug on your robe upon exiting the room. "(y/n). Can we talk?" Satine's posh voice asked, with a hint of unevenness in her voice. You turned to her, taking in her mourning state, tears still rolled down her cheeks while it seemed nerves replaced the devastated emotion in her eyes.
"Sure...let's walk." You muttered quietly. She nodded and you headed left from everyone else. She strolled beside you as you watched the sun almost disappear from the horizon through the hall's windows.
The duchess took in a deep breath. "(y/n). I wanted to wait till after the clone wars to tell you this...to tell both of you this." She clarified.
"But now that Obi-wan is gone...I can't keep it secret any longer." Satine whimpered. You put your slow walk to a halt and turned around to meet her face to face. 'How serious is this matter she wants to speak about?'
"What is it Satine?" You asked nervously.
Her bottom lip quivered as she tried to find the words. "(y/n)...I don't know how to tell you this but..."
"Obi-wan is your father."
Those words rattled your brain and you instantly went into shock. All this time and you never figured it out, but now that you know the truth...it doesn't even matter.
"What? No! How!?" You huffed with heavy breathing.
"I'm so sorry (y/n)."
"How do you even know this Satine?" You begged with tears now rolling down your cheeks.
"Because...I'm your mother." She wept.
It felt like an icy dagger had plunged even further into your back. You reflect back on your entire life and contemplate every event that has led you to where you are right now.
"Why? Why did you leave me?" You cried.
"I had to." She whimpered. 'She had to? Why does someone have to leave their own child at birth?'
You looked at Satine with confusion and utter betrayal. You slightly shook your head side to side before snapping away from her and walking straight for your room.
"'My father...I know who my father is. And he's...gone...dead!" You muttered to yourself, clenching your fists. You tugged the hood of your fully over your face to avoid seeing the strange glares you would've gotten.
"(y/n) do you want to...(y/n), what's wrong?" Ahsoka's calming voice came from your right as you briskly brushed past her, but you continued to march towards your room. You wanted to be alone.
You got to your room but decided to go in Ahsoka's instead. You quickly opened and closed the door, making sure to press the orange lock button as well. You discarded your large robe, tossing it across the room before planting yourself on the edge of her bed.
Your hands stuck to your face as tears started to flow uncontrollably. You didn't know if you were mad, sad or a combination of both. But all you felt like doing was escaping your heavy emotions.
You heard a light knock on the door. "(y/n), what's wrong?" Ahsoka begged, her voice laced with concern.
"Go away." You muttered, falling back against the white sheets.
"(y/n), please let me in so I can help." She pleaded.
You moaned. "I don't want help."
"(y/n) please...come on, it's me." Ahsoka begged, but this time her voice was so frail and almost broken. 'What am I doing.'
You hop off the bed and let Ahsoka into her room, making sure no one saw her enter. Ahsoka took her hood off of her head before pulling you into a warm hug. Her arms dangling around your neck while yours sat comfortably around her waist underneath her robe.
"(y/n) we promised we would always be here for each other when we needed the company. And I'm here for you now." She clarified sympathetically.
"I know." You murmured in regret.
"Talk to me baby." She whispered softly into your ear, running her fingers through your hair.
"...Satine just told me who my real parents were." You stated.
"Really? Who?" Ahsoka asked carefully.
"Herself...and Obi-wan." You sniveled. Hearing it come from your own mouth was surreal to hear.
"Why did she have to leave me!?" You cried.
"I could've been her son all these years. Who leaves a child after birth like that!?" You raged in frustration. You pulled away from Ahsoka and lent back against the cold metal door, staring at the ceiling as you continued to cry.
Imagining the possible life you could have had on Mandalore gives you wild thoughts. 'What could've been.'
You felt Ahsoka wrap her arms around you once again, this time around your waist. The immediate feeling of her touching you was relaxing. She buried her head into your neck whilst gliding her hand through your robes so she could place her warm, smooth palm against your bare skin, which brought a quick smile to your face, being reminded of the amazing women with you right now. 'At least I have her.'
"Ahsoka, you will never fail to make feel better." You praised confidently, it was a fact. She was the key to your happiness.
You stroked her lekku up and down, as you stopped leaning against the door. Her hand was still against your bare chest as you disrobed her. You pulled her hand out from your robes and lifted Ahsoka up from under her thighs, producing an adorable giggle from the little Togruta.
You carried her over to the bed and carefully sat down, with Ahsoka in your arms. And she remained in your arms that night till you both let sleep take over.
