Manik's POV
"What?"
"Yes! They rejected our offer of working together." Dhruv said as we, fab5 r sitting on the hall.
"What reason they say?" Mukti asked narrowing her brows.
"They said that Blue Voice is not interested in working with others." Dhruv answered.
"U should have asked them for her contact." Cabir jumped in the conversation.
"I did. But they said that she's not interested in coming to the public or making any albums with anyone. Her working with Maddy is also with her wish. They have no control over her." Dhruv sighed.
"She seems dominating." Alya said scrolling her phone.
"How can she deny working with us; Fab5? She is Crazy!" I groaned. I never thought anyone would deny our offer. It never happened before.
Damn that girl! Even though I loved her voice, she seems arrogant.
Before we could think of some plan we hear whimpering noise n shouting from upstairs n we turned to see what's going on?
Nandini's POV
"Princess.... princess stop"
"Ishita listen..."
"Ishu stop running... listen to us"
I, Jeff n Inaya r running behind her while she just jumped up from her seat n ran. Actually, we r all sitting in the guest room n trying to know the reason who she was so miserable n cried when she came here.
She said that a bunch of seniors along with her classmate is calling her with names, talking about her parents n naming her 'orphan', and most importantly commenting on her look and how ugly she looks with the cut on her face.
With that, she started to cry with hiccups n I could get that her trauma, which she faced years back, is back now and she needs support n consolation badly. But before we could give her that she just ran out of the room weeping her vigorous tears.
We three ran after her to make her stop but that crying mess locked her up in my room.
"Princess, open the door please" I said lightly knocking the door. I know she gets scared with a loud bang at this time.
"Ishu dear please let us in..." Jeff said nearing the door. She knew very much about Ishita's case, even she helped me a lot with this.
"What happened to her?" Alya asked as Fab5 have now come to us.
"Ishita locked herself in the room." Inaya answered while I'm trying my luck with all sweet talks to make her open the lock.
"Let me try" With that Manik raise the hand to bang the door but I caught him before it contacts the door.
"She gets scared with loud banging." I explained looking to his eyes to make him understand. He has a soft expression on his face.
"Nandu... Song!" Inaya exclaimed suddenly diverting my mind to her words.
Yes! Whenever she used to get traumatized. I used to sing her song n pat her hairs making her sleep calmly. It helped.
"My phone?" I searched in my pockets n looked here n there at Jeff n Inaya.
"Oh no! it's in my room" I growled in frustration.
Here she is in miserable condition n I'm not able to do anything!
Without a second thought, I ran into the Fab5 jam room and took out the Piano and ran back to the door of my room. I saw everyone standing with confusion written all over the face, but I ignored it for a time being.
And, I positioned myself and started the tune... and sang...
By the end of the song, the doorknob unlocked n there comes, Ishita running to me & hugged my waist tightly.
I too patted her hair n console her for some time till she stops sobbing.
"Sorry" she said looking up with tear-ridden eyes making puppy faces.
"Okay, Princess... Now, don't cry anymore. Whatever other says doesn't matter, because u know how beautiful u r. U r Pretty from inside, Right?" I asked bending to her level and caressing her face.
"Pretty's on the inside" She said with a smile making me smile too.
"Okay, now go with Jeff n have some cake n pastries I've got for u." I said n gestured Jeff.
"Come Ishu" Jeff held Inshita n they walked to the dinning.
I looked up at the shocked, surprised n amazed faces of Fab5.
"Blue Voice" Mukti comes out of shock first n whispered.
Others too came out of their state n looked at me...
"Yes, I'm the Blue Voice" I said keenly observing their faces.
"But u never told us" Cabir narrowed his eyebrow.
"And u also deny working with Fab5" Alya said.
"Why is that?" Dhruv said n I stood looking at them accusing me. I've guessed them to hold this reaction so I just took a deep breath.
"Well, Me being Blue voice is not known at many, not even my parents or Rhishab. So, ...
And About rejecting working with Fab5; I'm not asked for it. My manager directly denied as I've strictly said him not to make me public, I don't wanna come front with this identity." I said while mostly looking at Manik's eyes which held mine.
"But Maddy works with u?" Cabir asked making me look at him.
"Hmm... Because he's the one through which I entered into this singing songs."
"u mean u both know each other closely?" Dhruv asked looking at Manik n I turned to see Anger in Manik's eyes. I wonder what's wrong?
"Not exactly. Actually, years back, when I joined music classes to learn Violin n Piano I met him. That time only I got Ishita with me & needed money for her medication n them schooling and all. Even though I'm rich n I can ask Dad for it, but Dad denied me taking care of Ishita n argued to send her to an orphanage, so, I need to arrange money myself. That time, Maddy caught me singing while playing Piano n insisted to join him for which he'll pay too. And I agreed.
But, since, I'm a doctor, so I'm always busy. So, I asked them not to disturb me & not to force me to work with anyone. And I only join him or sing whenever I feel like n I'm free."
By the time I ended my never-ending speech all r in deep thoughts n I looked at Manik's eyes which r already on me.
"I'm really sorry for not telling u beforehand
And I can work with u but in my holidays only." I said with hope in my eyes that they'll not be angry or mad at me.
Dinner time, At the dining table
Manik's POV
She's Blue Voice...
Nandini is Blue Voice...
Blue Voice is Nandini, my wife.
I do understand her point of view, her situation & also that she's new to our family, so she held so many things to tell us.
But, suddenly I felt that I don't know her, I don't know anything about my wife, my partner. I know nothing, who she is, what she is, what's her liking, disliking, her favourite, her happiness, her sadness, the close persons in her life like Ishita... Nothing!
I looked up to see her serving extra roti on Ishita's plate who's sitting beside her.
"Umm... Are u guys listening to some new songs of Blue voice?" Navya asked while chewing her food.
"No... Why do u ask?" Cabir asked frowning.
"Ohhh... I felt like I heard her English song. But then I thought she never sang any English song. I even thought of walking out of the bed n look for u guys but Mom strictly aid not to get off the bed, so I'm asking now." Navya ended her talk while I was looking at Nandini who's looking at all others.
"Well, we've got a fabulous singer with us here, apart from Manik." Alya said with a mischievous smile.
I asked her through eyes whether she's okay with us telling others to which she blinked with a nervous smile.
"Really, who?" Mom asked.
"Blue Voice!" Dhruv added.
"What?... U mean, she's over here... u mean, right now." Navya stopped eating.
"Yep!" Cabir grinned.
"Who?" Abhi asked looking up from his plate.
"Ur Baby girl" Mukti answered. And all jerked their heads to Nandini.
"Baby girl, u r a singer?" Abhi asked surprised.
"Really?" Mom added.
"That means she was singing back in evening?" Navya looked shocked.
"Yes, I'm Blue voice... Ummm... I sing too." Nandu said nervously.
"Oh... I've heard u humming back in college too... But never knew baby girl is so talented" Abhi praised.
"Arey Wah... My son & my daughter, both r singer. Perfect Jodi." Mom laughed along with others while I looked at Nandu whose cheeks r red with blush and my lips twisted in a smile.
"Wow Nandu, u r so much of Mystery... Are the surprises over or u still have something off with u?" Navya commented playfully.
"Ummm... Woo..." Nandu gets nervous once again.
"What?... Don't tell us, u still have some more surprise?" Mukti asked looking at her to which she nodded in yes.
What more is stored in her?
"Do u dance too?"Dhruv asked raising his brows.
"Are u some secret Agent?" Alya asked stupidly to get glares from us.
"No no.... I'm an online story writer with pen-name 'EmpireBlue'BB'" She finished only to get offered by screams by none other than Malhotra ladies, including Mom...
"WHAT?"
"Ya... and thanks for ur support." She said with a smile while they r still in shock.
"U mean... 'EmpireBlue'BB' is U, Nandini, my sister-in-law." Alya asked with wide eyes. She nodded.
"Wow... We always wanted to know about the pen-writer, and here she is my daughter only." Mom said with a grin.
"But, please don't make Ranveer's memory loss... They should remember each other, then romance, and honeymoon, then cutie babies..." Alya started with her dream about the characters while others chuckle.
"Back to earth Alay" Dhruv shake her to which she glared at him.
"Cool... U r multi-talented Nandu" Jeff commented.
"Of course, A doctor, singer, writer... Afterall, Bhabhi kiski hai? ( whose Bhabhi is she?)" Cabir added making all laugh and continue their dinner.
