the two were a mere breath apart, one lean forward and their lips would touch. The moon casting over their faces the two barely dared to breathe. Harry found himself staring into the girls green eyes that so closely resembled his own.
Athena too found herself staring over the boys features. His disheveled hair fell over his scar. A scar she had marveled over many times. And just like last year, in a hallway much similar to the one they were in then, she felt her slim hands flick up to his hair and messed with the raven strands. Even running over his scar a couple times.
Harry stayed quiet, even letting his eyes drift closed a couple times before adrenaline ran through his body and his eyes snapped open, hadn't snapping up to grab the girls wrist.
Eyes trained on the girl, her breath caught as she stared back at him.
His hadn't still clasped over her wrist, he continued staring at the girl.
"what are you doing?"
Athena spoke quietly, voice barely above a whisper
"lets just stay like this"
he replied, eyes trained on the girls lips
Athena could barely breathe, green eyes trained the eyes of the taller boy.
Before fear coursed through her veins and flashes of Cedric passed over her eyes.
His lips
His smile
His dead body
Her hand ripped from Harry's grasp and she shoved the boy backwards in a panic
with the shove Harry seemed to snap out of his trance.
"Right sorry about that"
The boy mumbled, awkwardly scratching behind his ear, eyes trailing anywhere but the girl.
"I-I'm sorry Harry I can't"
She spoke quickly, rushing down the hallway and back to her common room.
Harry was left staring after the girl,
wondering if he had just ruined their newly regained friendship
Athena returned to her common room, cheeks warm and worry etched upon her face.
Why had she pushed him away?
Her stomach filled with embarrassment as she re-thought through the interaction
She sunk to the floor in regret, her head in her hands as she thought over how she was going to face the boy the next day.
A pair of dress shoes stopped in front of her and she peered up at a smirking Draco Malfoy
"Whats up Malkin?"
the bleach blond boy asked
Athena took a deep breath before rising to her feet and glancing at the boy
"do you really want to know?"
she asked, skeptically
"Of course Malkin, you know I got you"
He answered honestly
"Harry almost kissed me, but I pushed him away"
she breathed out
Malfoy quirked a brow at this
"I thought you were into Potter?"
the boy asked curiously
"I am, I really am but, I just got really nervous and panicked"
Athena answered
"Was it Cedric?"
Draco asked, remembering the late night conversations the two had
She nodded
"The last time I felt like the way I feel for Harry, those feelings died"
she whispered
"I'll try not to take that to heart Malkin"
The boy chuckled
Earning a small smile from the long haired Slytherin.
"It's okay to let yourself feel Malkin, remember that"
Draco whispered, giving the girl a soothing smile, before starting to head out of the common room.
Something clicked in Athenas head and she grabbed the boys arm and pulled him back.
She hurriedly glanced around the common room, making sure it was completely empty before daring to whisper.
"It's you isn't it"
A frown settled onto Draco face
"the one trying to kill Dumbledore"
Draco somehow got paler
His eyes darted around the common room in panic
"why on earth would you say-"
"Don't bullshit me Malfoy"
the girl cut in, eyes serious and cold
His voice lowered
"Athena you know better than anyone that I have to"
he spoke between clenched teeth
"Draco this isn't the only way, I can help you-"
"No, you can't"
the boy cut her off, features hardened and cold
He ripped his arm from her grasp and stormed out of the common room.
leaving Athena to run her hands through her hair in worry.

Athena made her way down to the great hall for breakfast the next morning, glancing at the Slytherin table to meet the cold eyes of Draco Malfoy, then turning her gaze to Gryffindor table where she met the flushed cheeks of Harry Potter, deciding she didn't want to deal with either of the two boys she set herself down at the Ravenclaw table.
Lacie and Wren glanced at the solemn girl and knew.
"Boy trouble?"
Lacie asked, though she already knew the answer
Athena nodded, eyes set on her toast
"the question is though, which boy?"
Wren pitched in, jokingly
Earning a slap on the arm from the groggy Athena
"Harry almost kissed me last night"
she mumbled
"HE WHAT???"
Lacie screamed, earning stares from the other tables, even a glance from the golden trio.
Slapping a hand over her mouth, a blush settled on her face.
"He wHAT?????"
she whispered
"Harry Potter almost kissed me last night and I stopped him because I'm really scared of how he makes me feel"
Athena spat out, her face flushing once again at the thought
"You need to let yourself feel again 'Thena, that's what Ced would want, you know that"
Wren spoke calmly
Athena let one small tear fall down her face, she nodded once again
"I'm going to sit with you guys at Quidditch today"
She spoke quietly
"Of course"
Lacie replied
Adorning her Navy scarf, Athena wormed her way onto Ravenclaw pitch where she began to watch the game.
She noticed the asshole himself, Mclaggen was playing,
And she noticed even more when Mclagen lost the game.
Her jaw dropped as he sent a bludger reeling right into Harry Potters head.
Panic set into her body and didn't stop until she was sitting at the end of his hospital bed.
Cracked Skull, yikes
Worry was etched into the girls face as his eyes stayed closed.
Ever so slowly, she slipped her hand into his limp one.
She sat there for a while, muttering small things about her day, cursing out Mclaggen, before she got to the topic she really wanted to talk about with the boy.
"Hey Harry, um. I'm really sorry about last night, it wasn't your fault at all, I just got really freaked out all of a sudden and I. Yeah I'm sorry. Just between us,
I wish I hadn't pushed you off"
she mumbled quietly
Before she could stand up and part ways with the boy, she felt a squeeze on her hand.
Her eyes flicked back to the boy, who's eyes were now open.
"Were you awake?"
she asked, red tinting her cheeks
"Your rambling woke me up about fifteen minutes ago Malkin"
He chuckled quietly, wincing slightly at the pain in his head
"O-oh, you should've said something dumbass, I was so worried!"
She laughed, pulling her hand out of his and slapping him slightly.
But instead he simply grabbed her hand again and pulled the girl closer.
"Did you mean what you said?"
He asked softly
Eyes staring into hers sincerely
"about what?"
she asked, playing dumb slightly
"Last night"
He pressed
She glanced into his eyes
Taking a deep breath before answering
"Yes"
she whispered
Surprise flashed across the boys eyes before a smile pulled across his handsome face
"Oh"
He breathed out
"Well thats good to-"
Athena cut him off by slipping a hand into his hair
And pulling the boy in
to a kiss.

This is super impulsive of me and OMG is this another update in less than a week??? Thats unheard of, but the inspiration hit and I try to write when I get inspired.

How have you been holding up in quarantine? My state is on complete lockdown, like with online school and online everything. I've been painting and embroidering to pass time! theres some nice paint by numbers on amazon that are pretty entertaining!
