Previously………..
“Well, I will always worry about you, Sunflower.” I admitted to him, “Like right now, you are literally dripping wet, so I am requesting you go take a hot shower so you don’t get sick.”
“Only if you come with me, you are soaking wet too and I don’t want you to get sick either.” He said with a wink.
“I mean if that gets you in the shower.” I shrugged. Then my phone went off.
Jade: If my dad asks I am spending the night with you.
Me: ditto.
Jade: Awesome.
“Well, we have all the time in the world.” I smirked. “My dad’s home but Jade’s covering.”
Now…………….
Sweet Pea and I laid in his bed naked, I was curled into his chest and he was playing with my hair. “I don’t think I ever thanked you for telling me everything that was going on.”
“I wasn’t going to, originally but then I thought about it and Pepper kinda helped me decide.” I admitted. “It was a hard decision to be honest because it’s kinda confidential, on a governmental level but I thought you needed to know.”
“Sometimes I forget that you have really high security clearance.” He told me.
“Sometimes, I do too.” I chuckled as I played with the rings on his hands.
“Sure, you do.” He chuckled.
“You know the Bulldogs are probably going to do something really stupid, right?” I sighed.
“I am fully aware, especially since one of them stabbed themselves.” He sighed.
“Knowing them they’ll blame it on the serpents, which is really freaking stupid.” I told him. “How’s the eye?”
“It’s sore but it’s fine as long as I don’t touch it.” He admitted to me.
“How many times have you touched it?” I questioned.
“Too many times to count most of it was naturally.” He sighed. Then there was a knock on the door.
“Sweet Pea! This is Riverdale Police Department, open up!” I heard Sheriff Keller shout and we were both, instantly on our feet.
“You get dressed and sneak out the window, I don’t want you to get caught here with me.” He told me.
“I could just be your alibi.” I told him as we quickly got dressed.
“Lia, I don’t want you to get arrested and you need to let Beck and Fangs know what’s going on.” He told me as he threw on his shirt.
“Fine but you better message me to let me know what’s going on.” I told him.
“Promise.” He said as I opened the window in his room that was in the back of his room. I got out the window and got in my car and drove away.
“FRIDAY call Jade.” I told my AI.
“Calling Jade.” FRIDAY replied.
“Tally! Beck just got arrested!” Jade said into the phone.
“Yeah, so did Sweet Pea but he made me leave through the window so I wouldn't get caught.” I sighed. “Where are you?”
“At Toni’s.” She answered, “Beck had me do the same thing.”
“Do you know if Fangs has been arrested?” I asked, deciding to go to Toni’s.
“I don’t know. Toni tried to call him but he didn’t pick up.” She informed me.
“Damn it.” I cursed, “Okay, I am on my way to Toni’s now. I’ll talk to you when I’m there.”
“Be careful.” She warned.
“I will be.” I answered before hanging up. I shortly then pulled up to Toni’s and got out before knocking on her door. Toni answered and pulled me into her trailer. Jade and I spent the night at Toni’s and my dad was perfectly okay with it. Then next morning Jade and I borrowed shirts from Toni. I drove us to school and I soon got a text from Sweet Pea.
Sunflower: I’m out, they didn’t have enough to hold us. Where did you end up going last night?
Me: Jade and I went to Toni’s. I am very happy your out, Sunflower. Beck and Fangs were arrested before I was able to warn them.
Sunflower: I know, Lia. I just wanted to let you know I was ok. They told us we mugged Diltion.
Me: that’s bullshit
Sunflower: Trust me, I know. I’ll text you in a bit babe.<3
Me: Ok, don’t do anything that would get you hurt. <3
Sunflower: I’ll try not to but you know trouble follows me everywhere<3
Me: I know<3
We got out of the car and walked into the building and Ronnie was looking for me. “Tally! I have amazing news!” She told me as Jade and I walked into the building.
“Ronnie, what’s up?” I questioned.
“Nick is coming to Riverdale for the Open House.” She told me with a smile.
“Nick… St. Clair?” I questioned.
“Who else?” She questioned with a smile. I then felt my chest tighten and my body shake.
“I’ll be back, I need to go to the bathroom.” I said, quickly making up an excuse. I quickly walked to the bathroom, Jade following me. “Jade, can you give me a second by myself, please?”
“Yeah, of course. I’m going to find Kevin. Text me if you need me.” She told me, concerned. I went into a bathroom stall, locked it and sat on the toilet, trying not to cry or just have a panic attack in general. I felt my chest tighten even more and tears fell down my face, my breathing became fast and I tried to calm myself by counting. Then I decided to call Sweet Pea.
“Hey, babe, what’s wrong?” He answered.
“I may or may not be having a crisis right now.” I told him.
“Lia, what’s going on?” He questioned, panicked.
“Veronica just told me that Nick St. Clair is coming to Riverdale.” I told him, then realizing I didn’t tell him the name of my rapist.
“Nick St. Clair?” He wondered out loud.
“You know that thing that happened to me, Sweet Pea?” I asked.
“He’s the one who did that?” He questioned.
“Yes.” I quickly answered.
“I’m going to kill him, Lia.” He told me pissed.
“Sunflower, that’s my job.” I told him, my panic attack slowly calming down but getting pissed off.
“Point taken. Do you wanna skip? Maybe calm down a bit?” He asked worried.
“I might just go home, Sunflower. I am just debating on something that I’ll tell you about later.” I sighed.
“Okay, just let me know what’s going on, baby.” He told me.
“I will, Sunflower.” I promised.
“Are you going to be okay to drive?” He asked.
“I’ll be fine, I promise. I’m just going to get the stuff out of my locker then go home.” I told him.
“Just let me know when your home.” He sighed.
“I will, promise, Sunflower.” I told him.
“Good. I gotta go, babe.” He sighed, “but if you need me don’t hesitate to text or call me.”
“Ok, I won’t hesitate if I need you. Thank you, babe.” I sadly smiled into the phone.
“You’re welcome.” He replied and we hung up. I went out of the stall and went to the sink and texted my dad.
Me: Coming home, can’t do today. Severe panic attack.
Iron Dad: That’s fine, Sweetie. I’m here if you need to talk.
Me: Thanks dad.
Iron Dad: you’re welcome.
I rinsed my face and Cheryl came into the bathroom. “Thalia, are you okay?” She asked, seeming genuinely worried.
“Yeah, Cherry, I’m fine.” I lied.
“So, you didn’t see your locker?” She questioned.
“Cheryl, what do you mean?” I asked.
“Someone vandalized your locker.” She told me.
“Take me to it.” I requested.
“Sure.” She agreed and she walked me to my locker, which many people surrounded. It was spray painted with the words ‘Serpent Slut’ on it in green. I only knew one person who would do this and his name is Reggie Mantle.
“I am not in the mood to deal with this.” I said then kicking my locker, leaving a medium size dent in it. “Who did this?” I asked.
“The Bulldogs did this together but Reggie spray painted it.” Cheryl told me.
“Thanks, Cheryl. Do you happen to know where Reginald is?” I smiled at her, pissed.
“Thalia, stop.” Jade told me, “You just need to go home and deal with this later before you become explosive. I called your dad, he’s outside and I’ll bring you car over after school. Archie, Kevin and I will walk you out so you don’t decide to go beat the shit out of the football team.” Jade took my left arm and Kevin took my right one and Archie walked behind me as the escorted me outside.” As Jade told me, my dad was outside.
“Tals, you okay?” Dad asked as I walked up to him.
“I’m just peachy.” I smiled before getting in the car. The car ride back home was silent between me and my dad. When we got into the garage I instantly got out of the car and went to my room and laid on my bed. Then Sweet Pea called me. “Hey, Sunflower.”
“Jade just called me to tell me what was going on. Are you okay, baby?” He asked me.
“I’ll be fine, Sunflower, I’m just really freaking pissed right now.” I sighed.
“Next time I see Mantle, his head is getting bashed in.” He told me, equally pissed.
“His head would’ve been bashed in if Jade didn’t stop me from doing it.” I told him.
“I hate to say it, Lia, but it was probably from the best. I know you have an okay hold on your strength but I don’t want my girlfriend to be arrested for murder.” He told me. “So, go take it out on punching bag or something because we don’t need you to snap and accidentally kill people.”
“Okay.” I sighed. “Or we could have really awesome sex.”
“That sounds amazing but I have to decline because Serpent stuff came up.” He sighed.
“Okay baby, just be careful.” I sighed.
“I will be, Lia. Just call me if you need anything.” He told me.
“I will, Sunflower, I promise.” I sighed as then my dad knocked on my door, “I gotta go. My dad is at my bedroom door and he’ll want to talk to me about what happened.”
“Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” He sighed.
“Bye.” Then we both hung up.
“Hey, Sweetie, can I come in?” He asked.
“Yeah, come in.” I sighed. The door opened and he came in and sat on my bed which I was laying on.
“Do you want to talk about what happened?” He asked.
“My panic attack or my locker?” I questioned.
“Either one.” He sighed.
“I’d rather talk about my locker than my panic attack.” I told him.
“Then what happened to your locker?” He asked.
“The Bulldogs found out not only that I am a Serpent by blood but that I’m dating Sweet Pea. I mean I never really kept it a secret, I didn’t care who found out because I refused to be ashamed of who I am dating plus I really like Sweet Pea, why be ashamed? They found out and they spray painted the words, ‘Serpent Slut’ on my locker in bright green.” I kinda rambled.
“It happened to your mom once.” He said and I looked at him, “The Bulldogs have always hated the Serpents. It happened to her and your godmother multiple times. Her own brother did it at least once, probably every single time but the only people okay with the Serpents was Fred Andrews, he didn’t care because him and your mom were friends.”
“Did she let it bother her?” I asked.
“Hell no, which is one of the many reasons why you remind me of your mom. You don’t let the little things bother you and you overcome it.” He told me. “I know you don’t want to talk about the panic attack but I’m gonna ask, what triggered it?”
“I received some upsetting news.” I vaguely explained it.
“Are you pregnant?” He instantly asked.
“No!” I instantly replied. “Definitely not.”
“Oh thank god.” He sighed in relief, “I am way too young to become a grandpa.”
“And I am way too young to become a mother.” I agreed.
“But seriously, what’s going on?” He seriously asked.
“I’m not in the mood to talk about it dad.” I told him.
“Okay, I’ll back off for now but if this gets worse, I would like to know.”
