The clouds were all she could see. It was like snow was everywhere she looked out the planes window, but it was really clouds. The sun set was orange, making the clouds some how look purple and orange together. It was beautiful.

Tessa had asked her uncle to bump the flight back home up to that night. She didn't want to stay in the hotel without the boys. Even if it was just for one more night. After the boys left it was like the hotel was empty, even though it was almost packed due to the holidays and it being a five star hotel. Of course her uncle was all for her coming back early, he was worried. Even though he wouldn't admit it.

"I don't get why you just don't wear it." Dylan says from the seat next to Tessa. Thanks to Simon loving his niece and being a tad bit over protective, they got first class on the way back. So only two seats in a row, no older guy between the two girls.

Tessa knew her friend was talking about the white sweatshirt she held bundled up in her arms. Tessa looked back down to the sweatshirt that she treasured. Because then it might loose his scent, She thought to herself. Tessa shrugged, not wanting to voice her thoughts and have her friend laugh at her. She pulled the sweatshirt over her head, immediately smelling Niall's scent.

A smile took over her face as her head got stuck in the hood, smelling the scent of his hair in the process. His hair smelled like lavender, but he smelled different. It was good different, no, it was a sensational different. He smelled like a mix of different things that Tessa could only describe as Niall.

"Better?" Dylan asks as Tessa finally adjusts the sweatshirt around herself.

"Yeah." Tessa smiles, pulling the hood back over her hair. She blamed her actions on the thought that she wanted to sleep, but she really just wanted to smell his scent even stronger.

Niall gave Tessa his sweatshirt right before he entered the tour bus that was waiting for him at the back entrance of the hotel. He said he gave it to her because she was shivering, but she wasn't. Sure she was cold, only wearing a short sleeved white shirt, but not shivering. Deep down she knew he just wanted her to have it.

Tessa's phone vibrated in her boot. She was so used to carrying her inhaler and phone in her boots that she didn't find it strange at all. She hardly ever had pockets that weren't skin tight or a bag to carry things in, so she got used to it. Dylan still gives her weird looks every time she pulls her inhaler or phone out of her boot, though.

Tessa turned the screen on to see Nialls face showing a text from him. She smiled as she unlocked her phone to read the full text.

Miss you all ready. Louis' giving the captain of our plane a hard time. -Niall

Tessa chuckled, imagining Louis bouncing off the walls and asking the captain a million stupid questions.

Sounds fun. Wish I was on your plane -Tessa

She looked over to see her friend reclined and sleeping already. The girl was just awake a few minutes ago. Tessa shakes her head, thinking of Zayn. It was like everything she did, saw, or thought all connected to those boys. Her thoughts were interrupted as a new text came through.

Ha, no ya don't. What you doin? -Niall

Tessa quickly typed a reply. She imagined Niall in first class with the rest of the boys. They were probably having so much fun, she missed them. All of them.

Thinking about you while sitting on a bloody boring plane -Tessa

The more she text him, the more she missed his voice. Already, it had only been a few hours since they said goodbye and already, she was missing the little things. Those little things seemed so massive to her. Like his voice, the way his mouth moved when he talked with his accent, how is hair was so sexy and touchable she just had to run her fingers through it. The little things that weren't so little to her.

The plane finally landed in London in the early morning. Tessa's eyes were hardly opened as she walked to the exit of the air port, trailing her suitcase behind her with her coputer bag over her shoulder. Dylan trudged along next to her as they saw her uncle holding a sign. Tessa smiled as she read the sign, 'My lovely niece... And Dylan.'

Simon dropped the sign to his side as he wraps his free arm around his niece. He smiled into her hair, he missed her more then he thought he would. Simon smiled piloted at Dylan as he pulled away from Tessa. "Come on, time to get home." Simon said as he took both Dylan's and Tessa's carry on bags.

Tessa took in her uncles appearance the best she could with he tire eyes. He wore sunglasses, even though it was three in the morning. His black drench coat covered his body to hide his identity along with the hood hiding his hair. Yet, she could tell it was him from where she was once stood at baggage claim.

Tessa shivered as they walked into the cold brisk air of London. It looked as if it were to snow soon. Tessa smiled, she had missed this place. America was great, but home is home. Yet, something was missing. Someone. She smiled down at his hoody as her free hand went in the warm front pocket of it.

The ride home was short, yet Tessa found her head leaning towards Dylan. They were all too tired to talk, Simon was okay with that. Just as long as his little girl was home and safe. He looked in the review mirror to see Tessa sleeping with her head on Dylan's shoulder and Dylan sleeping with her head against the cold window. He smiled, she finally had normal friends. If 'normal' they could be called.

Tessa and Dylan sleep almost the whole next day. Jet-leg had paid a toll on them. Tessa slept curled up on her bed as Dylan somehow ended up upside down a bean bag chair, half on the couch. When she woke up from her long sleep she didn't remember how she had managed to end up upside down.

"You two look deadly." Lauren's voice caused the girls heads to snap to her direction.

Tessa smiled sleepily. "Uh-huhhh." She yawned. Lauren chuckled as she shook her head at the girls. Dylan pulled herself onto the couch with her feet under her.

"I feel dead." Dylan says with her eyes closed, leaning her head on the armrest of the couch.

"Same." Tessa sighed, dropping her head onto the unused side of the bed. Suddenly she feels a movement by her foot. She smiles as her eyes snap open to see the kitten that still remained nameless. She smiled as she leaned over, grabbing the kitten and laying back in her previous position. "Hey kitty." Tessa smiled as she remembered Niall saying he liked how she said that. She smiled, noticing how the kitten had grown since the last time she seen it. The kitten snuggled up against her as she leaned on her arm.

"I made breakfast for when you guys want it." Lauren said as she positioned the child in her arms to a more comfortable place against her shoulder.

"Thanks Lauren." Tessa smiled.

After showering Tessa and Dylan climbed the stairs to the first floor. Tessa felt refreshed after a shower but now thoughts of Niall kept occurring. She smiled, remembering the nights they spent on the roof of the hotel. Niall was the sweetest guy she had ever met. No doubt about it.

"Looks like you had fun." Simon says as he appears from the entrance to the dining room. Tessa blushes, just noticing that she had a dreamy smiling on her face.

"Yeah." Tessa smiles as she grabs some of Lauren's home made pancakes. Lauren was one of the best Cooks Simon and Tessa knew.

"How bout you, Dylan." Lauren asks about Dylan's time in North Carolina.

"Oh it was fun." Dylan says. "Kinda annoying having to watch Niall and Tessa be all love drunk."

Tessa found herself coughing on orange juice. She hadn't expected that comment. Yet, she tried to swallow after gasping which caused her to inhale some orange juice. She covers her mouth with her hand as she slightly bends over, coughing uncontrollably.

"Hun, you okay?" Lauren can't help the laughter that falls from her smiling mouth. "I'm sorry." She tries to say while still laughing. Simon just sipped his tea, concealing his smile.

Dylan, however, laughed shamelessly at her best friend. She couldn't help it, even if she wanted to. She finally stopped laughing after her friend stopped coughing her lungs up. Tessa's face was bright red, half from coughing and half from from embarrassment.

"You're an idiot." Tessa accuses of Dylan, slapping her arm. Dylan just laughs again.

"In her defense, you were love drunk." Lauren laughs as she sits in the chair next to Dylan. Simon still stood, leaning against the wall in front of the three women.

"And how would you know?" Tessa rolls her eyes, trying to act like she wasn't embarrassed with the topic.

Lauren raises her eyebrows, as if excepting the challenge to embarrass her friend and soon to be niece slash stepdaughter. "Well, there's the way you look at him, the smile on your face just a few minutes ago, the way you light up when you talk to him or about him. OH! And the fact he just happened to be in your hotel room when we skyped." Lauren grins, knowing she had proven her point even though there were more things she could have said.

Tessa opened her mouth, about to say something but then closed it when she had nothing to say. Her face was a bright shade of red as she brought her class up to her lips. Lauren and Dylan erupted in laughter at the same time. Tessa put her class down, starring boredly at the two annoying women at the moment. She looked to Simon who just gave her a smile before taking another sip of his tea.

"Seriously?" Tessa asks boredly as they continue to laugh.

"You know, I would have never expected it to be Niall. I thought you looked more like a Harry girl, or Liam maybe." Lauren continues to tease, but it was something she had been thinking about for a while now.

"Or Zayn... Or even Louis." Dylan adds with a thoughtful face. Niall just didn't seem like Tessa's type, in fact he was just the opposite.

"Maybe it's that opposites attract thing." Lauren comments, taking a sip of her tea as well.

"Mmhh!" Dylan says, pulling her glass away from her mouth. "That's it. He's totally different then her other boyfriends, or boyfriend."

Dylan and Lauren continue to talk about Tessa as if she not right there. Tessa stares blankly at the two. She wonders how she even became friends with them, they were more idiot then her. Tessa feels a presence to her left as Simon sits down.

"You think they'll ever stop talking?" Simon whispers to Tessa as he sits in the chair next her and watches Lauren as Dylan start talking about romance books and how they relate to Niall and Tessa.

"One can only hope." Tessa says back. Simon chuckles as they watch them talk none stop.

"They probably wouldn't notice if we were to walk off." Simon says back.

"Thought you said Lauren has eyes in the back of her head." Tessa says seriously, not taking her eyes off the two ninnies. Simon chuckles, he had told her that a while ago.

"That's only when it comes to me talking to other women." Simon grins, loving how Lauren is confident yet jealous.

"Well why are you talking to other women?" Tessa says seriously, trying to tease him.

"Because I'm famous and handsome therefore women can't get enough of me." Simon says with a straight face.

At Simons words Lauren looks over to him, no longer paying attention to Tessa's relationship or stories like it. "What did you say?" Lauren pretends to be agitated. Yet, anyone could see she ways just joking.

"You heard me. Women love me."Simon states as he sips his tea again.

"Well of course they do. That doesn't mean you have to pay attention to them." Lauren comments back. Tessa and Dylan watch in amusement at the two teasing each other.

Simon shrugs like he can't help it. "Sometimes it gets overwhelming." Lauren raises and eyebrow, an amused expression on her face.

"And what if men were all over me?" Lauren asks.

"Then they'd have me to deal with. I'm terrifying, you know." Simon can't help the grin that comes to his face. Lauren chuckles, trying to come up with something witty.

"Oh yeah? I can be terrifying." Lauren states. Simon throws his head back in laughter.

"Yeah, your about as terrifying as Niall." Simon states.

"Hey!" Tessa chines in. "He can be pretty terrifying when he wants to be."

"Can he?" Lauren asks seriously.

Tessa thinks about. He really wasn't terrifying. Niall was the nicest, sweetest, most charming guy she knew. "No." Tessa says in defeat.

The room erupts in laughter again. Tessa just shakes her head, determined to find Niall's terrifying side.

"So when's this wedding I keep hearing about?" Tessa asks. She knew it was supposed to be soon, she just didn't know the exact date.

"New Year's Eve." Lauren grins.

"Isn't that like the busiest time?" Tessa chuckles. Knowing Lauren and Simon they had agreed to get married right on twelve AM New Year's Day. They were cheesy like that.

"I'm Simon Cowell, I can make it happen." Simon boasts. Tessa chuckles. Simons arm swings around her shoulders, pulling his niece into him as she chuckles.

Dylan sits quietly, watching the family in front of her. They were a family, they were closer then Dylan was with her actual family. Dylan smiled, watching as Simon kisses the top of Tessa head as Tessa laughs at something head said. It was clear that Simon had missed his niece.

Then the family was broken up by a baby's cry. Lauren groaned, standing to her feet and walking to the nursery. Simon got up, saying his good byes before he had to go to work with his new so artist.

First day home, and she had no clue what she was going to do without her new boyfriend. She already wanted to skype him but she told herself not too. She didn't want to come off too clingy. But what she didn't kmow was that Niall was doing the exact same thing. So they went though the day like that, Niall in his tour bus waiting for her to call him and tessa in her room playing video games to destract herself from the call she half expected from Him. Just leading up to disopointment on both sides of the occean.
