Elliot

With my hands in my pockets and my face blank, I walked beside Alexa, with Michael and Jackson on her other side. I always feel like laughing when someone says Michael and then Jackson, because together it's "Michael Jackson" though neither of them gets it.

I'm the only smart person here, and that even includes Alexa.

I insult my friends a lot in my mind.

Oh. And did I mention the fact that Ryder, Ethan and Blake were walking in front of us? Of course, I was completely against the idea, but Ryder does live in the same house as Alexa, so they do go the same way.

I don't know why Blake and Ethan are tagging along, though.

But the same thing could be said for Michael, Jackson and me, I guess.

But we're better than them, so it doesn't matter.

If you disagree, I'll gut you with my knife☺️😁

It's at home right now, but I really wanna use it against these three, for what they did to Alexa. But at least Alexa seems happier then when she first met us.... I wonder why.

"So tomorrow, we're definitely leaving the school undetected, right?" Michael whispered in between Jackson and me.

"We can hear you!" Ryder shouted from in front of us.

"Oh..." Michael said. "Elliot, maybe you should put me in whispering classes."

"Those don't exist," Jackson said, rolling his eyes.

"But they should!"

"Oh, hey, Alexa! Guess what?" Ryder exclaimed. As if it was Instinct, Michael grabbed onto Alexa's wrist and looked suspiciously at Ryder, who was smiling back at them.

Jackson and I stood behind Alexa, keeping a watchful eye out.

"What?" Alexa asked in a dull voice, but she was staring at Michael's hand attached to her wrist with a raised eyebrow.

"Blake's having a babyyyyyyyy!"

Dramatic pause.

Alexa's head shot up, staring at Blake in disbelief.

Ethan chuckled.

Blake looked horrified.

Jackson scratched his head.

Michael pulled Alexa back, stepping back with her.

I just stood there.

"Sister!" Ryder finally exclaimed.

"Dumb ass!" Blake said, smacking Ryder, who grinned in response, as if he knew what he was doing.

"Oh... baby sister?" Alexa sighed. "Erm, congratulations?"

"I don't want a sister though." Blake whined.

"Oh... then sorry for your.... gain?"

"....Thanks."

"Er, welcome..."

"Oi! Lex! Don't be civil with him!" Michael said, suddenly jumping onto Alexa's back. Surprisingly, she didn't fall over, but she did wobble a bit, looking rather shocked by the sudden weight.

"Michael!" Alexa said, annoyed.

"Alexa!" Michael said back, happily.

"What the actual hell?" Ryder said, blinking at the sight. Ethan and Blake were also looking.

Jackson was crossing his arms, an unreadable expression on his face.

But I don't think it was for the obvious reasons...

"Okay, Mikey, don't you think you're crushing her just a bit?" Jackson said, agitated. He's always annoyed when it comes to Michael.

"No. Alexa, am I?" Michael grinned.

"Yes." Alexa wasted no time to respond.

"Wow," he said, jumping off of her back.

"So, um, we're here," Ryder said, pointing to his house. "Let's go, Alexa."

"What? Why can't she come with us!" Michael said. "None of us like you for the way you treated this impressionable little girl—"

"Hey!" Alexa took offense to that.

"—and the way her dad still treats her—"

"Wait, how does her dad treat her?" Ethan questioned.

Ryder bit his lip, glancing at Alexa.

Michael stopped talking for once in his life and looked at Alexa too, who became very interested in her shoes.

"Does it matter?" Blake said. "I have a video tournament at five, so we gotta go...."

Ethan sighed. I guess you're right," he said. "I have some food to eat anyways. I'm starving."

"You ate five minutes ago," Ryder said, and then looked back at Alexa. "Alexa—"

"Don't," Alexa said cooly. She turned to her friends. Which is us. "I'll see you tomorrow, bye, guys!"

She didn't exactly give us any time to respond, though.

And I don't think I said a single word during our walk....

Maybe it was because the stupid author forgot to give the narrator a single sentence?!

Alexa

Ryder followed me into our house.

"Oh, they're not home yet..." Ryder said, probably referring to his brothers.

"Guess not. Did you have plans?" I asked.

"...No," Ryder very obviously lied.

"Okay, I'm going now," I said, leaving and going to my room. That wasn't very detailed, but whatever. I don't really care.

Just as I laid down on my bed, there was a thump on my window. I quickly sat back up, startled. I glanced at my window, only to see a small rock hit my window.

I'm not going to say I could be in a horror movie or anything, but....

I can be in a horror move.

Because my dumb ass decided to go over to the window to investigate.

Outside of my window, I saw Michael sitting on a tree branch. He waved at me with a goofy grin, but something was weird about it. I stared at him, unimpressed. I blinked, wondering if I should let him in.

I settled for opening the window, so I could talk to him.

"What are you doing? Weren't you with Elliot snd Jackson ten minutes ago?" I questioned Michael.

"Can I come in?" Michael asked his own question, instead of answering mine.

I sighed. "'Kay, but only if you explain to me why you are outside my window."

"Okay, I will!" Michael said, jumping in, scaring me half to death. Does he know how easy it would be to fall?!

"Michael, you need to be careful—"

Michael sat on my bed and said, "So you want that explanation or not?"

"Fine," I said, sitting next to him.

"Okay, so I kinda just got into a fight with Jackson and Elliot..."

My eyes widened. "What?! I literally just left you guys! What happened?"

"Wellllll...."

Michael

{Flashback}

I walked behind Elliot and Jackson, an uneasy feeling in my stomach. "Hey, guys, I really wanna see Alexa again!" I whined. The truth was that it didn't feel right to just leave Alexa in that house, and I want her to be okay.

Jackson scoffed and narrowed his eyes at me. "Oh, the dummy wants to see Alexa, Huh? You always wants to be with her! Do you love her or something?!"

"Yes!" I answered. Why wouldn't I love one of my best friends? I love Alexa, I love Elliot, I love Jackson and I love Andrew. What's wrong with that?

Elliot started uncharacteristically coughing with my answer, causing me to look at him. His face turned neutral again. "I'm fine," he said monotonously.

I blinked. "...Okay."

When I looked back at Jackson, on the other hand, he looked mad. His fists were clenched, his teeth gritted, and his eyes narrowed. No matter how many times he 'knocks some sense into me' I was never scared of him, but that didn't stop me from gulping.

"What is your problem!" I demanded. "Don't you like Alexa?"

"She isn't the problem! You are!" Jackson yelled back, and then muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, "well, she's kind of the problem..." But I most likely heard wrong.

"Guys—" Elliot tried to interfere.

"Oh, yeah?" I challenged, my voice cracking a bit. "If I'm a problem, then why are we even friends in the first place?"

"Guys—"

"I don't know!" Jackson yelled. "Maybe for once in your life, you're onto something — we shouldn't even be friends!"

"Guys—"

"Oh..." I said sadly, but then my eyes hardened. "Well, then we're not friends anymore!"

"Guys—"

"Got that right!"

"Guys—"

"Fine!"

"Fine!"

"Guys—"

"Shut up!" Jackson and I yelled in sinc, before storming off in opposite directions.

And I ended up at Alexa's house.

Alexa

I blinked. "Oh, Michael, I'm sorry..."

"Not your fault," he said. He tried to act like it was no big deal getting into a fight with Jackson (and Elliot, I guess, but I mean, that wasn't too bad). But even so, I was able to tell that it bothered him.

"Well, I'll help you," I offered. These guys can't just not be friends.

Maybe it's my fault.

Michael hurriedly shook his head. "No! I don't wanna be buddies with Jackson again! He's the worse!"

"You can't mean that!"

"I do!"

I sighed softly, rubbing Michael's arm as he rested his head on my shoulder, and to my surprise, he started crying, as he clung onto my neck.

"It's going to be okay," I muttered softly, stroking his hair.

Just as the door opened.

"Hey, Alexa, do you wanna—"

Cameron, who just have came home obviously, stopped short when he noticed us (Michael quickly turned around to shield his tear stained face, but it was still obvious that he had been crying.

"...Am I interrupting something?" Cameron asked, staring between us suspiciously.

"Yes—"

"No! Bye!" Michael hurriedly exclaimed and jumped out of the window. "I'm okay!" And then he was gone.

Cameron seemed unbothered. "Great, he's gone! Alexa, wanna hang out with me and the others?"

I simply stared at him.

My friend is upset and in need of comforting — I don't have time for this!
