Luke,
I'm writing into your diary, but well, I don't even know if you could ever get these words... Nico could find you down there but you probably really chose to try for the bigger game. I'll be damned if I ever cross my path with you and you just stare at me for a while, thinking you're having a moment of Déjà Vu. But if you're out here again I hope you have a good family.
But to start what I came for, this is a goodbye letter. To you. And to the painful memory of your life and the times we spent together.
I don't want to remember you and have to consider everything great over everything evil you've ever done. Not anymore.
I want to move on, I have to. I'm like super mortal now you know, as mortal as a demigod can be, and I won't live forever.
You remember the prophecy I was told by Halcyon Green? I've found my lost little brother, and I have Annabeth. I have my amazingly annoying cousins too... Nico, Hazel, and of course Percy. Oh and baby Victoria.
And to paint it out properly, I have so many great friends now that I'm back in camp. Being with the huntresses was marvelous, it's like one giant movement of kick-ass people that understand you perfectly.
But I was constantly thinking of Annabeth and Jason being out there, questing dangerous missions and enjoying normal lives without me, doing stupid things, seeing movies, enjoying summers with Percy's parents at the beach... living as a family in all matters of the meaning. You wouldn't believe if I told you what our little Annabeth got herself into with that kelp head of hers... But she's doing great. We all are now.
I've started going to school again, and dam is it hard. I'm in Annabeth's year though so we see each other always. And I got my driving license, just like Annabeth. The people don't know what they're doing to let Me legally drive the streets.
You'd love the life we're living.
Percy took your vow to his heart and my little brother swore to help him, both work alongside with Annabeth of course. I'm thinking of proclaiming myself a gym teacher and hunting the schools for unclaimed demigods so that the lowest number of kids ends up like we did.
I miss you Luke, I miss the 14 year old boy that literally thought he had to be a father figure to our little family. And I miss the new Luke I could have known...
Yes we read your diary if that wasn't clear by now.
Sometimes I am so angry at you that I could punch your stupid face or zap this diary to dust.
You should have listened to me and not let Halcyon tell you your future, even if it pushed us to the idea that saved us two. Because Luke I know you never stopped being the hopeful good kid that would go to heaven and hell to make me happy. Maybe if we fought out another way... Maybe.
Oh and Luke? If you did choose to stay in Elysium and you're reading this right now, don't wait for me. I don't plan to snuff it anytime soon. Plus maybe I could join the hunt again one day, who knows.
Live a little, as much as the dead can. And perhaps we'll meet again one day.

Thalia shut the leather bound book and sighed heavily. Something did lift like Annabeth had advised.
Now that Thalia was living in an actual house and had an adult that washed her clothes, cooked her warm meals, prepared her school lunches, and cared if she arrived home before dark... she finally felt at peace. Thalia was oddly grateful for every single time Sally or Paul knocked on her room and asked if she had studied for the next day's lessons. And though she'd never admit it, Thalia was glowing with pride at all those times she passed a test and had someone to brag to. She needed it. For the first time in her life Thalia let herself be cared for.
She stood up from her writing desk and switched off the lamp.
"Dinner's ready!" She heard Annabeth call from the hallway.
Thalia glanced back at the diary as she caught the door handle.
"Goodbye Luke." Thalia said quietly.
And just as she was about to exit the room, the door flew open.
"You coming? It's tortilla day..." Connor said, one foot in her room, one in the hallway.
"Wouldn't miss it!" Thalia said. She grabbed a jacket from her bed before she jogged to the bridge window. Slippers on her feet.
So... This is something I really had to write as I read Luke's diary for the millionth time yesterday. Made myself cry again XD It is something simply heartbreaking and I'll always hate that these two were parted because it was pretty much the only reason things went the way they did...
