FLASHBACK
Dahyun was still holding Sana's hand when the teacher excitedly lead the event that night. She didn't realized that she was holding Sana's hand until the state Sana thought this as her opportunity. She thought, maybe Dahyun would talk to her. And come back to her. She leaned her head toward the pale skin girl and whispered, "Can we talk?"
Dahyun turned her head and just realized their both hands were intertwined. She immediately let go off the latter's hand and cleared her throat. "Just talk."
Sana shook her head and pouted, "Alone."
Dahyun sighed and nodded her head. Sana was squealing silently but eventually showed her big smile on her face while jumping up and down slightly. They stood up and Sana lead the way behind the crowded place.
Sana was walking leading Dahyun in front. The place became darker as they went deeper inside the forest. Sana rummage inside her pocket and took flashlight. Light the way for the both of them. The wind was really chilling. Thanks to Chaeyoung's padded jacket, Dahyun didn't freeze tonight. But as she can still feel the cold hit her, she put the hoodie on to cover her head and her ears. After about 5 minutes walking, Sana seemed couldn't find a good place to talk. They kept walk deeply inside the forest. Dahyun started to feel uneasy because of the atmosphere that the forest gave.
"Sana, don't you think we're far already?" she said while looking around the forest.
"No. A little bit more."
Actually, Sana found something beautiful about this place from the internet. She searched on the internet and found that they can see a beautiful view of the city from the above, behind this forest, there was a cliff. And underneath them, they can see a beautiful view of the lights from the city.
"Oh! We're here!" Sana squealed and pulled Dahyun with her running toward the place. Sana pointed at the view in front of them showing her perfect teeth and squinting her eyes because of her big smile.
"Woah.." it's the only word Dahyun could spit that time. The beautiful view mezmerized her tired eyes, the blew of the wind wiped her face slightly. She walked closer near the end of the cliff and she brought her arm and spread it feeling the wind. Instead of enjoying the view, Sana enjoyed looking at Dahyun sweetly. It's been a long time since the last time they spent time together. Guilt and happiness can be seen on Sana's face as she kept looking at the girl in front of her that she love so much. Even though maybe, she doesn't loved her back now. Sana held her down and stared at the ground. She took a deep breath and stepped forward toward the pale skinned girl slowly. She put her arms around the pale skinned girl's waist slowly circling it and leaned her head on the latter's back. Dahyun was shocked by this as she jolted her body a bit when Sana touched her but immediately tried to relax for a bit. She put down her both arms and let it loosely hang on her sides.
"I miss you, Kim Dahyun."
There's no response, Sana thought it's okay as long as the pale skinned girl hear her out. Then, it's fine.
"I'm sorry. I'm so selfish, I know. You kept telling me that you can wait until I pursue my dream. But I kept sending you off." Sana was trying to make her voice doesn't crack as she kept hiccuping in the silent. Dahyun was just silently listening to her.
"That time... I was so desperate. No agency accept me as their model making me wondered, if my dream was wrong at the first time. Making me can't think straight. And.." she took a deep breath and cleared her throat, "Leave you."
Dahyun sighed and hold Sana's both arms on her waist and letting it go. She turned around on her heels. "You're so selfish."
San just held her head hang low staring at the ground. "You know I love you so much. But you chose to leave me." Dahyun tried to calm her emotion but her body and heart act the opposite.
"I could wait, Sana-ya. I could!" Dahyun started to rise her voice and it echoed around them.
"Why don't you think of me. Think from my perspective. What about if someone you loved so much, suddenly leave you? And now, you're back when you failed. Do you use me?" Dahyun spit all her hatred through her toxic words.
Sana raised her head in a speed of light,"What do you mean? I miss you! I want you back! Can't you understand?" she wiped the years on the corner of her eyes.
"Yes! I can't! What if you succeed in your dream? Will you still come back to me like what you do now?" Dahyun raised her eyebrow asking it mockingly. Deep inside, she still hope for Sana's true love. But Sana's response dissapointed her. She's silent. Not answering.
Making Dahyun chuckled and huffed her breath out."I know you won't." she slowly stepped back, "I have to go back." when she forget that behind her there was a cliff.
"Oh?"
"Dahyun-a!"
She fell from the end of the cliff with a loud shrieked. Sana ran to the edge of the cliff and looked down, Dahyun was holding on a plant. A very fragile plant. She stretched her arm downward trying to reach the pale skinned girl's hand. Dahyun also stretched her hands to reach Sana's hand but got nothing except the air between their hands. "Please, wait for me! I'll find help!"
End of Flashback
Chaeyoung ran with all her might with Sana kept telling her the direction toward the place. They reached the cliff, welcomed by the beautiful view in front of them. But it can't distract Chaeyoung's thought in saving Dahyun. Mina was running too behind her and followed Chaeyoung toward the edge of the cliff. The teachers called for help and ambulance. While the other students were also running trying to find the best way to helped the pale skinned girl. Chaeyoung sit on her knees and look at the cliff. "It's not that deep."
Mina who heard this, held Chaeyoung's shoulder, "What do you mean? You won't go down there, don't you?" Mina asked the latter just to got a cold shoulder from the small girl.
"Oh? Where is she? Dahyun-a!" Sana started to called her sitting on her knees too. "What?"
"She was holding on that pl-" the plant that she was holding on to now was nowhere to be seen. It's ripped apart. Sana closed her mouth with her hands. Chaeyoung cursed under her breath and took the flashlight on her pocket to got a more clear vision to find her bestfriend. She scanned to the west, to the east. Still can't found her.
The other students started to shouted Dahyun's name around the cliff hoping to get some answers. "Are you sure that she fell here?" Chaeyoung asked Sana while still kept her eyes on the dark place beneath them. Sana can only nodded her head.
She was about to slide her body down when Mina held her arm. "No, Chaeyoung-a. It's dangerous."
Chaeyoung turned her head and smiled, "Dahyun is waiting for me, Mina." she held Mina's face caressing it slowly. "No! The teacher had called the ambulance. You don't have to go down there by yourself!"
"I'm sorry, Mina." she then slide her body down. The teacher started to screamed her name calling her to stop but it's late. Chaeyoung has fell.
She slide her body down without thinking how to get back to the upper ground. But she couldn't care. She just wanted to see Dahyun right now with her own eyes. The healthy and bright Dahyun. Her body was sliding way too quickly as she started to feel hurt on her butt and her hands, she attempted to reach something to slowed her body down, but she can't get anything, she started to rolled down hitting her body here and there. To prevent loss consciousness, she protect her head with her arms from the hit but the hit on her body overwhelmed her. She was about to loss her consciousness when a thought came to her mind.
"I need to save Dahyun."
Her eyes widely opened and she gritted on her teeth enduring the pain she felt all over her body. She kept rolling and rolling until she felt her body reach the ground. She groaned in pain on her ribs, arms and feet.
"Argh!" she tried to breath properly as now she felt like her lung was out of oxygen. She was breathing rapidly trying to sit slowly while holding on her ribs.
"Dahyun-a..." she started to scanned around her. The flaslight that she brought earlier was broke into pieces because of the impact. She tried to stand up with all those pains on her body. "Dahyun-a!" she squinted her eyes trying to find the girl.
"Dahyun-a! Please, answer me!" she walked slowly. She tried to look at the beside of the stone, at the other side of the ground, and at the big tree near her. She found something white lying near the tree. It's her padded jacket. With all her leftover strength, she ran toward the tree and reach that white thing that catched her eyes.
"Dahyun-a!" she held it and it's Dahyun.
"Dahyun-a! Come on, wake up. I'm here!" she shook the latters body and kept calling her. She reach for Dahyun's left wrist and check on her pulse. She's alive, and she's breathing. She pulled Dahyun's head slowly and put it on her lap with left hand holding her head while the other hand hugged her body, "It's okay, they called ambulance already. You don't have to worry. Okay?" Chaeyoung said with her tears slowly falling down to her cheek and down to Dahyun's cheek. She slowly hugged Dahyun while kept muttering that the pale skinned girl will be okay. Not long, a ruckus could be heard from their behind, it's the rescue.
"Are you okay?!"
He yelled as the voice of the helicopter's propeller made so much noise that it covered everyone's voice. Chaeyoung nodded, "Please, save her first!"
"Don't worry!" he yelled with smile plastered on his face. They took Dahyun slowly and tied her at the stretcher that has been tied to the wire from the helicopter. They started to pull her slowly toward the helicopter. Then, the rescuer asked me to hug him tightly while he tied both of us to the same wire.
"Argh..." I groaned a little when the helicopter started to pull us.
"You can do it." he whispered at me and I just nodded my head unknowingly that the world started to become dark.
