"Don't worry, I'll make you eat your words." Spectre hissed with poison dripping off his words.
"I'll scatter my sins and use them as stepping stones towards my advancement to dawn! RIDE, ONE WHO PROCEEDS TOWARDS DAYBREAK, SCHARHROT!" The vanguard circle crackled a rich rose colour. The wind started to howl loudly, which made both player's hoods blow off their concealed faces. Zeon's face was revealed to be one full of determination to win, and to prove something while the mask Spectre wore prevented any expressions from the young male. Threads of brown hair flickered from under the mask, as they floated in the wind.

"Liberating the Generation Zone! Seizing any chance that appears; scavenger of the blue night, awaken! Generation Stride, One who Hunts Souls, Balaam!" Once again, the vanguard circle expanded a rich rose, as Zeon roared with fury in his voice. "Deranged's skill, putting it, Jealously and Pure Love into soul! Drawing two cards. Stride skill! I soulcharge 2! (Werkatze Rekrut, Covetous Succubus) Then, I'll put Baleful Repressor from my soul to my hand! I call Baleful, Plunderer, One-eyed and Demonted Executioner. Skill, looking at top seven and putting Repressor into soul! Balaam's skill! Counterblast and G Persona, I'll choose Abyssal Owl! Retire, and Balaam gets 7k and drive plus 1! (26000 > 33000)"
"Sure." Spectre picked up the card and put it in the drop zone.
"Let's go, boosted by One-eyed, Demonted goes in at Esras! (9000 > 13000)"
"She can go."
"One-eyed to soul, draw a card and adding 5000 to Balaam! (33000 > 38000) Go after Luard! Rogue Blue Beam!!"
"No guard!" Spectre dramatically swung his arms wide open, as if he wanted to take the hit.
"Quadruple drive!! (Monochrome of Nightmareland) Stand, all to Demonted! (9000 > 14000/[< ] > [^]) (Closet Balloon, Wertiger Plunderer, Amon's Follower, Abysm Lust) Heal, all to Demonted! (14000 > 19000) Healing one damage."
"Damage check. (Slaptail Dragon)"
"Demonted! (19000)"
"No guard. (Dragfall, Luard)"
"Baleful boosted by Plunderer! Baleful gets 10000 power, and you can't guard with grade 0s! Plunderer gets 10000 power since I have 10 cards in soul! (9000 > 19000 > 26000 > 36000)"
"No grade 0s? Easy... Generation Guard! Dragwiser, Bronach!!" Spectre called out. "Her skill, I reveal the top five cards of my deck, (Dragfencer, Dagda, Dragsaver, Esras, Dragwizard, Morfessa, Draglancer, Daellad, Draglancer, Daellad) Calling two Daellad's and an Esras to guard! (11000 > 26000 > 36000) Adding Morfessa! (36000 > 41000)"
"Damn it..." Zeon grit his teeth reluctantly. "Turn... end... Skill of Scharhrot, Darkness! Putting Demonted into soul, and retiring your Vicreau! Then, I countercharge one."

"So much for a "final turn". People as cocky as you don't deserve anything in this world..." He spoke with a harsh demeanour, moving Vicreau to the drop zone. "Thinking you could keep your words? How pathetic..." Spectre breathed with a sharp tone in his voice. "Tell you what."
"What?" Zeon replied with his left fist curled tightly. Spectre lifted his mask up to reveal his mouth. His lips were cracked and a faint pink, and were conformed into a smile, with pearly white fangs tightly put together.
"This turn, I'll win." Putting a card from the drop zone to the bottom of his deck, Spectre looked through his G-Zone and smirked.
"Go on then... Don't be a hypocrite and beat me!"
"That'll be easy. Luard's Ritual Cross, I can stride for free! AWAKEN! Strength found from within, manifest yourself in our intertwined life! Cross it, loathe it, destroy it, Dragabyss, Luard!!" The vanguard circle exploded in a sludge black with red sparkles. "On stride skill, counterblast and calling Iucharba! Retiring Baleful!"
"Retired."
"Now, calling Belial Owl. Dragabyss' skill, soulblast, G Persona Blast and retire Belial! Searching my deck for two grade 1 cards, and call, Daellad and Daellad! Iucharba's skill, Belial to soul, and Belial's on retire skill to draw a card. Daellad's skill, soulblast to draw a card! Again! Plunderer is retired!" Spectre smirked.
"Damn it..." Zeon muttered frustratedly.
"Alright, I'll call Dagda and call Raven. Into deck and shuffle. I won't call. Call, Fuamnach! Ritual 5, adding 7000 power to her and resist! (7000 > 14000) Now, Dragabyss' Ritual Cross!! I have 10 grade 1s in my drop zone. Adding 20000 power to the front row! (9000 > 29000) (26000 > 46000) (7000 > 27000) Boosted by Fuamnach, Daellad! (27000 > 41000)"
"No guard! (Wertiger Jaeger)"
"Boosted by Iucharba, Dagda! Skill of Iucharba, adding 3000 power! (29000 > 39000) Skill of Dagda! Counterblast and retire Daellad! Superior call from the deck, Mauthe and Fuamnach over that column! Now, there's 12 grade 1 cards! Upping the power to 30000 to front row! (39000 > 49000) Fuamnach's CONT! (7000 > 14000)"
"No guard as well! (Evil God Bishop, Gastille)"
"Boosted by Fuamnach, Mauthe! Mauthe's Ritual, power plus 4000! (37000 > 41000 > 55000)"
"Generation Guard! Cryptid Gnaw Liege, Sabnac! Skill, counterblast and he gets 5000 Shield! My vanguard gets 5000 power! (11000 > 16000 > 31000 > 36000) Adding Knight and Monochrome! (36000 > 56000)"
"Fine then... Luard, crush him. (56000 > 61000)" Spectre extended his arm, his open hand making Zeon take a step back with frightened eyes. In line with Zeon's face, Spectre closed it into a tight fist, as if he was crushing an apple in his hand.
"Closet Balloon, perfect guard!"
"I can feel it..." Spectre eye's blinked rapidly under his mask as his lips turned into a confident smirk. "Triple drive!! (Cursed Eye Raven, Cursed Eye Raven, Mage of the Rogue Eye, Arsur) Three Stand triggers!"
"No fucking way..." Zeon shivered as he looked at Spectre's drive checks. "This can't be real... You cheated, didn't you?!"
"What proof do you have? I simply checked three triggers. Don't blame me for stacking my deck, or cheating. If you read my card effects, they can both return to my deck! I simply increased my chance through deck filtering and returning them, and it paid off." Spectre spat. "So before you accuse me, use some common sense or get better at the game!"
"F... F-fair enough..." Zeon stumbled on a response, being defeated by Spectre's quick tongue and steel argument.
"Where was I... Oh yeah... Standing Dagda, Mauthe and Fuamnach. Power to all! (39000 > 44000) (37000 > 42000) (14000 > 19000) Dagda, attack! (44000)"
"...no... guard..." Zeon picked up the top card of his deck and put it into the damage zone, with empty, hollow eyes. "Why did this... have to happen... I just wanted to help... and now I've embarrassed myself..." Zeon thought to himself as his eyes locked on his damage zone of six cards. Flashing in his mind, he could see the faint image of an upset Rukia, frowning as she turned away from him. "Stop... Don't look at me like that... I did as much as I could... I... I..."
"I win." Spectre sniggered with a sly smile. "I guess you won't be getting any information regarding Yza." Readjusting his mask so it covered his face, he began to sweep up his cards from the make-shift table. Zeon simply stood there with a heart that was beating fast, and eyes that stung.
"Please..." He spoke with a quiet voice. "E-even though I lost, and it's selfish of me... Please tell me something you know about Yza!" Zeon exclaimed, putting his hands together and narrowing his eyes. "I'll take anything! I just want something that'll help me find him!" Closing his eyes, and dropping to the floor, Zeon screamed from the top of his lungs whilst his knees; pleading. "PLEASE! TELL ME SOMETHING YOU KNOW ABOUT HIM!"
"You want a clue?" Spectre turned around, twisting his head to look at Zeon. "Okay. I'll pity you. Yza's fate isn't as obvious at first glance." Turning his head around, Spectre walked away with his footsteps growing further and further away. Zeon looked at him in a daze.
"...not as obvious at first glance? No shit..." He gritted his teeth and struck the concrete floor with his bare fist in pure, unstable anger. The skin on his knuckles had pulled away and scraped off, leaving bloody marks on them. Opening his right hand shakily as he opened his eyes, Zeon looked at the palm, tears dropping on them. Emerging from his eyes were warm tears of sadness. Closing his hand into a tight fist, Zeon kept slamming the concrete floor with his hand as he wailed.
"Zeon?" Rukia blinked as she opened up the mansion's door, looking at Zeon whose eyes were red. His left hand covered his right hand, which was bruised and had cuts on them. "I thought you went home...?"
"I wanted to visit you guys." He laughed nervously. "Plus, I kinda forgot to get something from here."
"Ah..." She stepped to the side, letting him in. Walking inside without breaking a sweat, Zeon took off his shoes, trying to not let Rukia see his hand. "Did you find anything from that email?"
"Nope..." Putting his shoes into the rack, Zeon turned to her with a weak smile. "It was a dud."
"Why do people do that..." She shook her head side to side in a disappointing manner, sighing.
"How about you guys?" He asked, standing up straight.
"Me and Shika just finished putting up more flyers. We were about to go...." Rukia's voice trailed off as she grabbed his right hand with concerned eyes. "Oh my god... Zeon! What happened?!" She exclaimed as Zeon started to shake.
"Shit... shit... shit..." Zeon started to curse in his mind as he looked at her in the eyes awkwardly. "I... I just got a bad scrape on my hand, that all."
"There's no way it's a simple scrape... look at it..." Rukia said, running her index finger on his cuts. Zeon flinched. "Come with me to the bathroom, I need to get you some bandages..." She started to drag Zeon upstairs. Zeon simply followed, his head down as he thought about how perceptive she was.
Once the two reached the bathroom door, Rukia opened it up and sat Zeon on the edge of the white bath-tub. Opening a white cabinet which was nailed onto the wall, she took out some disinfectant wipes and bandages. Washing her hands, she gently took his damaged hand.
"Let me roll up your sleeve, it'll be easier—"
"No!" Zeon snapped, removing his hand out of hers. "Don't roll up my sleeve..."
"Why? It'll make it a lot easier, and quicker..." She muttered with a pout.
"You just... You just can't, okay..." Zeon grumbled as he looked away. "Just do it with my sleeve down."
"If... you say so." Rukia replied as Zeon showed his hand to her again. Wiping it with a disinfectant wipe, Zeon closed both of his eyes.
"If you saw what was on my wrists, you would hate me forever..." He thought, biting his bottom lip. "How did it end up like this... how did any of this even fucking happen..." Zeon opened his eyes, looking at Rukia who began to bandage his hand. "I wonder what she's thinking at the moment...." He looked up, as he felt the cuff of his hoodie be pushed up slightly. Zeon shifted his attention to his hand quickly, as Rukia looked at him.
"What? I only nudged it... I'm not moving it up." She used scissors to cut the end of the bandage. "Done!" Rukia smiled as Zeon looked at his bandaged hand.
"Thanks, Rukia."
"Zeon, can I ask you question?"
"Um... sure."
"How long have you been cutting your wrists?"
