(3RD POV)
All of the students are gathering saps, as (Y/N) is helping Pyrrha. Pyrrha is asking questions about the 'incident' last night, while (Y/N) is getting some sap.
(Y/N): It's nothing really.
Pyrrha: Are you sure? Because I heard Jaune, yelling.
(Y/N): Yes, I'm sure. (turns to Pyrrha) Last night was just man talk.
Pyrrha: Well.....if you say so.
(Y/N) then puts a hand on Pyrrha's shoulder.
(Y/N): Jaune can take care of himself, just, you know, believe in him, like you always do.
Pyrrha smiles as soon she her that, taking the jar that is filled with sap off of (Y/N) hands.
Pyrrha: Thank you for helping (Y/N). (walks away)
(Y/N): Anytime!
Pyrrha: (turns back at Y/N) I mean from last night. I think Jaune really needed it.
(Y/N): Hey, he's my friend too.
They share a smile then Pyrrha walks away with the sap. Weiss then approaches (Y/N) with a worried expression.
Weiss: H-Hey, (Y/N).
(Y/N): (turns around to see Weiss) Weiss! What's up?
Weiss: Well.......about....last night....
Then the rest of Team RWBY appears behind Weiss, also worried.
(Y/N): *sigh* You guys heard it to, huh?
Meanwhile, the roar of the giant Ursa is heard.
Ruby: (getting up, concerned) Did you guys hear that?
Suddenly, the remaining members of Team CRDL are seen running the other way from the roar through the other students.
Russel: (looking back) Ursa! Ursa! (he runs into Yang accidentally)
Yang: What?! (completely unfazed by his collision, she picks him up by the front of his shirt) Where?
Russel: (struggling and still running in air, but points back from where they came) Back there! It's got Cardin!
Pyrrha: (dropping her jar of sap) Jaune!
Ruby: (going into leader mode) Yang! You and Blake, go get Professor Goodwitch! (dropping Russel, Yang and Blake nod before following the orders)
Pyrrha: (to Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie as she and Ruby activate their weapons) You two, go with them! There could be more!
(Y/N): I'll go with them! You guys get those two out of there!
Pyrrha and Ruby: Right!
Cardin is attempting to run from the following Ursa, but it leaps over its prey and claws him away. He tries to get up and crawl away.
Cardin: Crap! Crap, crap!
Pyrrha: (she, Ruby, and Weiss come on to the scene) Oh, no!
They watch as the Ursa leans over the helpless victim, raising its paw and swiping it down... only to be blocked by Jaune's shield, Crocea Mors. He struggles to defend a stunned Cardin from its attempts to lean on him.
But Weiss lifts Myrtenaster as she prepares to go help.
Pyrrha: (to Weiss) Wait!
Jaune takes the shield out from the Ursa's paw and slashes at its stomach.
Causing it to lash out and try to crush him. He rolls out of the way and jumps over its swipe at his feet, but he is unprepared for when it launches a claw at him in midair.
He lands far away, yet is immediately back on his feet and passing Cardin as he charges again. The Ursa knocks Jaune behind it when he tries for a leaping attack, and he looks at the Scroll in his shield to find out that his Aura level is in the red. He grows angry again and starts to run at the Ursa as it also begins to dash towards him.
As they are just about to clash in slow-motion, Pyrrha sees that Jaune has left himself completely open to the Ursa's attack.
Pyrrha lifts her hand out to him, gathering dark red energy in her arm.
Just as the Ursa is about to hit him, the glow surrounds Jaune's shield and makes it lift up to block the swipe.
Jaune uses the surprise defensive move to lean on the ground, push his shield back up, and swing his blade right through the Ursa's neck. The head falls to the ground as the body slams onto the ground.
Ruby: (as Pyrrha's hand stops glowing and she smiles) Uhhh... What?
Weiss: (equally amazed) How did you...?
Pyrrha: Well, Ruby has her speed, you have your glyphs. My Semblance is polarity.
Ruby: Whoa, you can control poles...
Weiss: No, you dunce! It means she has control over magnetism!
Ruby: (still impressed, whispering) Magnets are cool, too...
Weiss: (noticing Pyrrha start to leave) Wait, where are you going?
Ruby: Yeah! We gotta tell them what happened!
Pyrrha: We could... Or perhaps we could keep it our little secret? (walks away again as Ruby and Weiss smile to each other in understanding and a bruised Jaune sheathes his weapon before going over to Cardin)
Cardin, still covered in sap, looks up at Jaune as his savior offers a hand. Cardin smiles as he takes it and is lifted back up on his feet.
Cardin: Holy crap, Jaune!
Jaune: (threateningly) Don't ever mess with my team - my friends - ever again. (as Jaune stares Cardin dead in the eye) Got it?
Cardin looks intimidated, possibly even apologetic. With his order spoken. Then a voice comes out of nowhere.
???: Kill him Jaune.
Everyone got curious of where the voice is, until a loud thud was heard, appearing a man behind Jaune.
While (Y/N) and the others are running back to get help, (Y/N) stopped running as soon as he heard the thud.
(Y/N): Huh?
Which made everyone stop and look at (Y/N).
Blake: (Y/N)?
Yang: Come on, (Y/N), lets go!
Ren: (Y/N), we don't have much time!
A moment passes until (Y/N) finally realizes who made the thud.
(Y/N): No.....
Then starts running towards where Jaune and the others are.
Yang & Blake: (Y/N)!
Meanwhile, back to Jaune and the others, they see the man.
Pyrrha, Weiss and Ruby, gets to Cardin and Jaune, with their weapons ready.
Jaune: Guys? You're here to?
Pyrrha: (to Mercer) State your name, and your business!
Alex: (ignoring Pyrrha) What're you waiting for, Jaune? Kill him.
Jaune: W-What? N-No!
Alex: Come on, It's only natural to kill, especially if its an asshole like Cardin.
Weiss: Answer the question!
Alex: Easy there, Weiss, I'm not here to hurt anyone.
Weiss: How did you know my-
Alex: You'd be surprised! (slowly walking towards them) Ruby, Pyrrha, Jaune, Cardin, and all of the rest of the students in Beacon Academy!
Everyone tightens their grip on their weapons.
Alex: (stops) Come on, Jaune.
Alex dashes behind them to grab Cardin holding his head, while Cardin struggles to get out.
Alex: Finish it.
Ruby: *mutters* So fast....
Jaune: No! I don't know who you are, but I'm not killing anyone!
Alex: *disappointed* Fine.
Alex transforms his hand into a claw.
Causing everyone to be shocked at what they just saw, Mercer ready to kill Cardin as he raises his claw.
Alex: Then I will.
Before Mercer was about to strike, Ruby fires her rifle to Mercer's hand, letting go of Cardin, as Cardin starts to run away.
Alex: *laughs* This place is getting interesting by the minute!
Jaune and Ruby charges towards, continuously trying to hit Alex, only making Mercer dodge all of their incoming attacks. Uppercuts Jaune, Jaune blocks it with his shield but sends him flying into the air, and as Ruby's scythe was about to hit Alex, Alex catches it then throws her behind him, causing Ruby to hit against the tree. Pyrrha charges towards the smiling Mercer and Weiss dashes behind him, freezing him in place. Pyrrha strikes her sword onto Mercer, making him catch and hold while frozen to place, as he bring Pyrrha closer to him.
Alex: Well.....aren't you interesting.
Alex broke free from the ice, without any difficulties. Weiss dashes forward, Mercer dodges it, hitting Pyrrha's shield instead, causing them both to drop down out of balance. Jaune, from above drops back down, above Mercer, landing on his shield. Mercer blocking it with one hand then pushes him towards Pyrrha and Weiss. Jaune and Pyrrha throws their shield together, only making Mercer deflect both of it. Then out of nowhere Ruby shot Mercer through the back of his head, making a giant hole on his entire face, blood splattering on Jaune's face.
Jaune: Ughh...gross....
Alex: Get used to it, kid.
Weiss: *shock* W-What?!
Alex face then regenerated back to normal. The four were stunned at what they just saw.
Alex: (turning to Ruby) Not bad kid. You almost got me there.
As Jaune swings his sword to Alex, Alex, again, catches it, then looks Jaune in the eye.
Alex: Hmph. Cute.
Then transforms his other hand to a giant blade.
Pushes Jaune's sword, as Jaune is about to swing again, Mercer block it with his blade, pushes it, then kicks Jaune, causing Jaune to fly towards Pyrrha and Weiss. Ruby dashes forward, ready to strike Mercer, Mercer turns around, catching the scythe, swings it towards the three for Ruby to let go of her scythe, Mercer then turns towards them, throwing the scythe away.
Alex: (approaches the fallen heroes) You would've been a fine specimen. Too, bad I'm gonna have to consume the four of you.
Jaune: C-Consume?
As Mercer was about to hit them with his blade, a blue lightning dashes in front of Mercer and the heroes. The one who caught the blade believes to be:
RWJP: (Y/N)?!
While (Y/N) is holding the blade, Mercer and (Y/N) gets their faces close to each other.
Alex: *chuckles* (Y/N) (L/N).
(Y/N) punches Mercer in the stomach, causing Mercer to slide back.
Alex: *groans* *chuckles*
(Y/N): (turns to the four) You guys alright?
Alex: It's been a long time, (Y/N).
(Y/N): (turns to Mercer) Fuck you, Mercer!
Alex: What? No, hug for your old teacher?
(Y/N): You didn't teach me shit, asshole!
Alex: Didn't I?
Ruby: (to Y/N) Wait! You know him!?
Alex: (replies) Of course he does! I'm his beloved teacher.
(Y/N): Beloved my ass!
Alex: Huh. Scary. You still don't get it do you (Y/N)? I gave you everything. And this is how you come to me.
(Y/N): You destroyed our world!
RWJP: What!?
Alex: I! Was healing IT!
(Y/N): By turning people into cannibals!?
Pyrrha: Cannibals?
Alex: Strong people, by turning strong people into cannibals.
Weiss: (Y/N), what is he talking about!?
Alex: You know how the cycle goes, (Y/N). Strong men, make good times, good times, make weak men, and weak men, make bad times!
(Y/N): That's no reason for them to get killed!
Alex: Oh but it is, (Y/N). You see, that world was long gone before I spread the virus.
Jaune: Virus?
(Y/N): That's enough! (gets into fighting position) Let's finish this!
Alex: Very well. (gets into fighting position) Let's see your results.
Seconds after, (Y/N) and Mercer, charges towards each other, causing their fists to collide, causing a shock-wave and crater below them.
Then they were everywhere, colliding and causing shock waves.
Jaune: The ground is shaking!
Weiss: Can anyone see them!?
Pyrrha: They're everywhere!
Finally (Y/N) and Mercer charge at each other for the last time.
Both them gets back on the ground, then starts colliding a barrage of fists, causing the ground to shake.
Weiss: This is too intense!
Then finally hits each other.
Causing the both of them to slide back.
Alex: You've grown stronger.
(Y/N): *groans* You haven't seen anything yet!
(Y/N) then transforms into his blue haired form.
Electricity is flowing around (Y/N)'s entire body.
Pyrrha, Ruby and Jaune: Wow....
Weiss: (Y/N), is that.....you?
Alex: *laughs* (clapping) Bravo, (Y/N)! You managed to get this far!
Alex then also transforms, exposing veins on both of his shoulders, and his eyes turns red.
(Y/N): (turns to Jaune and the others) Get out of here!
Ruby: What?!
(Y/N): I SAID GET OUT OF HERE!
Ruby: No way!
Weiss: We're not leaving you!
Ruby, Weiss, Pyrrha, and Jaune, readied their weapons.
(Y/N): Dammit! DO AS I SAY!
Then finally Blake, Yang, Nora and Ren are finally back with Glynda.
Glynda: What is going o-
And they also notice (Y/N)'s change of appearance.
Glynda & Blake: (Y/N)?
Ren & Nora: Wow...
Alex: Hmph. Glynda Goodwitch. Well (Y/N) it's been fun (reverts back to his normal form) but I can't fight with these many witnesses, so.... I'll see you around. (salutes then jumps away)
(Y/N): Tch. (reverts back) Dammit.
(Time Skip)
Later that night, on top of the dorm building, a uniformed Jaune stands on the edge and looks into the distance at the green lights of Beacon.
Pyrrha (off-screen): No Cardin tonight? (walks to his side) "I thought you two were best buds?"
Jaune: (turning to her) Pyrrha... I'm sorry. I was a jerk! You were only trying to be nice, and... I had all this stupid macho stuff in my head-
Pyrrha: Jaune! It's okay! (as they smile at one another, she adds:) Your team really misses their leader, you know. (she begins to walk to the exit) You should come down! Ren made pancakes! No syrup, though - you can thank Nora for that!
Jaune: (smiles, but holds out his hand and calls out:) Wait! (Pyrrha turns around, and Jaune looks sheepish) I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but... would you still be willing to help me... to help me become a better fighter?
Pyrrha turns around so a worried Jaune won't see her satisfied smile. She goes up to Jaune and suddenly pushes her leader to the ground.
Jaune: (whining) Hey!
Pyrrha: (standing over him with her arms on her hips and an evaluating tone) Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground. (she offers him her hand, which he graciously accepts, and they continue to hold on to and grin at each other) Let's try that again.
(Y/N POV)
I'm inside my dorm, I'm is sitting on my bed with team RWBY in my room, Yang and Ruby sits down on the floor, while Blake and Weiss, is sitting on chairs. I'm just telling Team RWBY all about Alex Mercer and what he did.
Yang: (looks up the ceiling) He sounds tough.
(Y/N): You have no idea...
Weiss: Alex Mercer....
(Y/N): A dangerous man. Not a strongest Hunter or Huntress in this world can stop him.
Ruby: There must be some way!
(Y/N): The fall maiden?
Blake: That's a fairy tale.
(Y/N): Then I guess I'm the only one who can stop him.
Team RWBY exchanges worried looks.
(Y/N): What?
Blake: Well...isn't there someone from your world.....who.....
(Y/N): Everyone's dead in my world Blake. (silence, until he looks down and speaks) Not one left....
An image flashes before me.
Tears begin to drop out of my eyes, as team RWBY notices it.
Weiss: (Y/N)....
(Y/N): (wipes tears) W-what? I-it's nothing....
The all of a sudden Team RWBY hugs me, then lets go.
Yang: You don't have to tell us now.
Ruby: I mean, after all you've been through.
Weiss: It must be hard, just to remember.
(Y/N): .....
Blake: We're always here for you, (Y/N).
(Y/N): Yeah...Thanks guys.
I'm holding the door open for Team RWBY to walk out of the room, but Blake stops and looks at me, for a moment.
(Y/N): What?
Blake: (Y/N).....What do you think of faunus?
(Y/N): No difference to humans, really.
Blake: What do you mean.
(Y/N): I mean, just like humans, some are good, some are bad and some are just misguided, you know. People who're bad for their own good reason.
Blake: You don't mind what they look like?
(Y/N): Does looks even matter?
Blake just stares at me for a few seconds then smiles.
(Y/N): *chuckles* What?
Blake: N-Nothing.
(Y/N): ......*blush*
Blake: Well....Good night! (runs out of the room)
I gently close the door, still blushing at what I just saw.
(Y/N): (Cute~)
Then I closed the lights, got to my bed and decided to call it a day.
(Y/N): *sighs* Good night Vale....
