(Y/N POV)
I'm at Uncle Ozpin's office, talking about the real reason why I'm still in Beacon Academy, and how I'm going to be living for the next 4 years. I'm standing in front of Ozpin's desk, Ozpin is sitting, with Glynda standing beside him.
(Y/N): Solo, huh?
Ozpin: Yes. Since you've never made eye contact with anyone who didn't have a pair yet in the initiation, you're going to work solo for the next 4 years.
(Y/N): (Good enough!)
Ozpin: Now, (Y/N). Do you know what this is?
He then holds the artifact that was at the top of his desk.
(Y/N): No idea...
Ozpin: This, is the Apple of Eden.
(Y/N): (Amen!)
Glynda: This artifact hasn't been found since the start of Beacon Academy.
(Y/N): Wait. There was someone else who tried to find that?
Ozpin: Tried but failed, you are the only one who found it, no one even knew it even exist.
(Y/N): But, how'd you guys know it was hidden inside the temple?
Glynda: We didn't.
Ozpin: See, (Y/N), we've also been searching for this artifact, and our theories says that the artifact is in the temple.
(Y/N): So technically, it's not part of the rest of the artifacts of the initiation?
Glynda: Yes, we were surprised that you found it without any difficulties.
(Y/N): Well, not really, I mean, I've been searching for three hours whilst protecting others, so....
Ozpin: Yes, but how did you know it was beneath the temple?
He said as he puts the artifact back down on his desk.
(Y/N): Just a hunch, and it was very cliched, I mean, detective movies and all....
Ozpin: I see...
Ozpin smiled.
(Y/N): So...what can it do?
Ozpin: For the sake of Remnant, I think it is best for anyone not to know.
Glynda: What we do know is that it is the key to end humanity.
(Y/N): Damn... Then maybe it's the reason why it was hidden, wasn't it? I mean, for people to not know what it is, because of us being irresponsible, and stuff?
Ozpin: For now we don't know what it can do, what Glynda said was just one our theories, so it's best to say that this artifact, shouldn't be known by the public, until further research.
(Y/N): I don't think that's a good idea......
Ozpin: We will find out in the future. For now, go to your dorm, and get some rest, you've got a big day ahead of you.
As I got inside the elevator I turned back to Ozpin.
(Y/N): For the sake of this world, I hope your theories were wrong, Uncle Oz.
Ozpin: So am I, (Y/N).
(Time Skip)
I'm inside my dorm room, getting ready as I wear my school uniform.
I looked in the mirror.
(Y/N): This is to prestigious for me....
I then remembered what Uncle Oz said.
(Ozpin's words in my mind)
For now we don't know what it can do, what Glynda said was just one our theories, so it's best to say that this artifact, shouldn't be known by the public, until further research.
I sighed.
(Y/N): I hope you know what you're doing, Ozpin.
I then also remembered what Weiss muttered back in the initiation.
(Weiss' words in my mind)
You never change do you?
(Y/N): What the hell does she mean by that.....
I feel slight headache, as I touched my head.
(Y/N): Agggh..... damn.....
Then I heard a voice in my head
(Girl's voice in my head)
No, please, don't leave!
(Y/N): ...... What..... the hell was that?
I decided to ignore it and head out of the dorm. I still have 2 hours left for my first class, so I decided to explore the entirety of the academy, as I was exploring the hallway I heard Glynda behind me.
Glynda: Good morning, Mr. (L/N).
I turn around so see her.
(Y/N): Oh...uh....G'morning, Professor Glynda!
I said nervously because of her signature stern look.
Glynda: I think it's a bit too early for you to be up, your class doesn't start until the next hour.
(Y/N): I just thought that I'd get familiar with the place, you know. *chuckle*
I said as I scratch the back of my head.
Glynda: I see....
She smiled.
(Y/N): (Huh, that's the first.)
Glynda: (Y/N).
(Y/N): (First names now?)
Glynda: Do you have the time?
She said as she turned around, gesturing if I want to go and have a chat with her.
(Time Skip)
We're in the courtyard, walking and chatting, talking about why I wanted to be here.
Glynda: So why did you choose to come here.
(Y/N): Like I said, I wanted to know this world, a little more.
Glynda: I see, so you are from another world.
(Y/N): Yes, ma'am.
Glynda: If I may ask. What was your world like?
We then stopped walking as we face each other.
(Y/N): .....
An image flashes before my eyes.
(Y/N): .....Let's just say it's........apocalyptic.
Glynda: So I've heard....... I am...... so sorry for your loss.
(Y/N): .........
Another image flashes before my eyes.
As a tear roll down my left cheek, I tried to maintain myself as I saw that image.
(Y/N): .......Don't be.......
Glynda looks in pity at me.
Glynda: What was it like, before the incident?
(Y/N): ......It was......peaceful. No grimms, no monsters, no hunters or huntresses, just us ordinary people doing our own thing, not always peaceful though, I mean there are burglars, and serial killers, and stuff.
Glynda giggled.
(Y/N): (Wow, she giggled!)
Glynda: And what of your family?
(Y/N): My father was a Business man and my mother was nurse.
Glynda: Business man?
(Y/N): Yup, if you need a guy to trick another, he's your guy.
Glynda giggled again.
Glynda: Well that does suit him.
(Y/N): Huh?
Glynda: Believe it or not, your father and I knew each other?
(Y/N): Woah really!?
Glynda: Yes, (F/N) (L/N) right?
(Y/N): That's him! How'd you guys meet?
Glynda: In high school.
(Y/N): Also here, in this world?
Glynda: Yes.
(Y/N): I see. So what was he really like? I mean, I was having second thoughts of how and what my dad did back then, when he tells me his story.
Glynda: Your father is always in detention, for asking unnecessary questions and debating to other teachers.
(Y/N): So it's true. I mean he told me that one time he has to write and fill the entire board with his name, and what he did was he taped all the-
Glynda: Chalks together and started writing his name and three seconds later he filled the entire board?
(Y/N): Yes! Exactly!
I laugh and she giggled.
(Y/N): The principle then lectured him and grandpa for being who they are!
I laugh again and now she's trying hide her laughter.
Glynda: Ah yes, I believe the principle said: " You (L/N)s are so unpredictable and unbelievable!"
(Y/N): Exactly, just like what he said!
I laugh as she smilingly looks at me.
(Y/N): Oh man!
I sighed at so much I laughed. 5 seconds of silence then.
(Y/N): God I miss him.....
Glynda: .......
Glynda looks at me in pity.
Glynda: Me too.....
Another moment of silence. Then I see Team RWBY and Team JNPR run towards the entrance.
(Y/N): Oh man I'm late! Well, it was nice chatting with you Professor Glynda!
I said as I joined the others.
(Glynda POV)
As he joined the others I just stared at him, then in my vision his appearance suddenly changed similar to his father's.
Glynda: ........You must be proud, aren't you (F/N)?
Ozpin: Glynda.
Glynda: Professor Ozpin.
We greeted each other as we both watch the nine students, run towards the entrance.
(3RD POV)
The sight of an axe-blunderbuss weapon pans down to the boards displaying various species of Grimm - King Taijitu, Death Stalker, Beowolf, Boarbatusk, Nevermore, and Ursa - behind an elderly teacher named Peter Port.
Port: "Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!"
The members of RWBY and (Y/N), seated on the front row, are in varying stages of interest; (Y/N), Blake and Yang are sitting up and paying attention, Weiss is taking notes, and Ruby has her head propped in her hand as she takes a quick nap until she is woken back up by Port's bad joke, which receives a cricket-filled silence as a result.
Port: "Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..."
Gives Yang a wink, which she groans uncomfortably at.
Port: Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!
A student raises his fist.
Student:Ayyyy-yep!
Stands like this for a moment as everyone looks at him strangely before sitting down, embarrassed.
(Y/N POV)
(Y/N): (Jesus Christ, I'm bored out of my fucking face here!)
Port: That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man.
(Y/N): (Who, you?)
Port: Me!
(Y/N): (Of course.....)
Port: When I was a boy...
His words fade into the background in a series of "blah"s. While Port is telling his story Blake who is sitting beside me, nudges me to get my attention and whispers.
Blake: How're you feeling, (Y/N)?
I whisper back.
(Y/N): Never better actually! Why do you ask?
Blake: It's just.......just please try to be more careful next time.
(Y/N): In situations like before, you and I both know I can't do that.
Blake: I mean, what if Weiss is right? What if you do lose your semblance, or worse?
(Y/N): Blake c'mon, you would've done the same right?
Blake: ......
(Y/N): For now, who knows what'll happen to me? Let's be glad that everyone's not dead.
Blake gave me a worried look, as I just smiled back.
Blake sighed in defeat, then smiles back.
Blake: You're unbelievable you know that?
(Y/N): I get that a lot.
Ruby then shows us her drawing.
Me, Blake and Yang are heard laughing, but Weiss looks annoyed.
Port: Ah-heh-hem!
Professor Poop then waits until he has our attention again.
Port: In the end, the Beowolf was no match for my sheer tenacity, and I returned to my village with the beast in captivity and my head held high, celebrated as a hero!
The teacher takes a bow as I notice Weiss slowly gets more and more frustrated with Ruby's antics.
Port: "The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honorable!"
Ruby is balancing an apple on a book with her pencil held only by her finger while making a silly face.
Port: "A true Huntsman must be dependable!"
Ruby has fallen asleep again in the first class of the year.
Port: "A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise!"
Ruby is not-so-subtly picking her nose, much to Weiss' building anger.
(Y/N): Oh boy.....
Port: "So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?"
Weiss: (still angry, she raises her hand) "I do, sir!"
Port: "Well, then, let's find out!" (he turns to gesture at the glowing red eyes surrounded by shadow shaking the cage that traps it) "Step forward, and face your opponent!"
The unknown monster in the cage continues to growl.
(Y/N): Oh no....
