Dad was most definitely drunk. He staggered toward me, swaying side to side and leaning against the walls for support.
"I saw you earlier," he slurred. "at the restaurant talking to some boys."
What was he getting at?
"You're a whore. A filthy whore." He screamed.
"No dad..... I denied their advances....I wouldn't every let someone touch me." I was trying hard not to studder.
"I don't believe you!" He yelled.
Then he slapped me. I fell to the floor holding my face. He started kicking me in my back and legs. I was in so much pain but I didn't dare cry out.
He suddenly stopped and then yelled, "Go to bed."
I didn't hesitate getting up and running upstairs. I jumped into to bed. Sierra came into my room and got under the covers with me. I pulled her into a hug and she wrapped her arms around me.
We said nothing, but both understood the silence between us.
