I can't believe Fran and Cami and I are all joining yearbook. For the first time I feel like I have actual friends. I mean of course the guys will always be my friends, but have friends who are girls is different then being friends with the guys.
I don't know, I guess I am figuring out that the things that use to be important to me are not that important anymore. I care about the boys and I care about Leon....

During yearbook we have decided the theme was going to be Legacy. How everyone who is starting and leaving middle school will continue the legacy of building friendships, and leaving with a purpose. For 8th graders, we are going to focus on what we are leaving behind and what we are moving toward. 7th graders are going to have to come up with what they are going to look forward to being the kings and queens of middle school. And 6th graders have to think about what they think about middle school and what is expected as they begin their journeys of change.
Afterwards I walked home, before I entered my house across the street I noticed the guys were in Leon's garage having fun. Then I began thinking about the great times we all have had over the years. Now it seems like I am growing more distant. When I noticed Leon had seen me I quickly ran into my house. I could only imagine what he must be thinking of me right now.

"Leon!" [Andres]
"What?" [Leon]
"We have been talking to you for the past five minutes and you are just staring into space." [Broadway]
"It's just that Violetta got home and I can't help but think of how different she has been acting." [Leon]
"We knew that this moment was bound to happen." [Fede]
"What moment?" [Leon]
"Leon, Violetta is a girl. One day she is going to want to have friends who are girls, who talks about their feelings, how they dress and when they want to go shopping....." [Maxi]
"And about boys." [Fede]
"What do you mean "about boys'"." [Leon]
"One day she is going to want to go on a date with a boy and experience her first kiss and all of that other romantic junk." [Fede]
"Well I never thought that that stuff would change our friendship." [Leon]
"Did you honestly think that the two of you were going to be best friends forever?" [Maxi]
"Possibly." [Leon]
"Dude, imagine if one of you start to have feelings for the other. That could be so awkward." [Broadway]
"That would never happen. Violetta and I have been friends for so long we know almost everything about each other. Including our most embarrassing moments." [Leon]
"But imagine if it did happen..." [Maxi]
"Yea, lets say you begin to fall in love with her or vice versa. If she nor you like the other it could break everything you two have." [Fede]
"Besides, when you two starting dating other people, you are going to spend more time with your girlfriend instead of her." [Broadway]
"Either way your friendship will become more faded the older we get." [Maxi]
"I just wish that we can still be friends even if all of that stuff does happen. I care too much about our friendship." [Leon]
"Well did you ever think that she may feel the same way? Let's think about it, you said that you know everything about her including her most embarrassing moments. Yet you didn't even know is she would audition for the show." [Fede]
