Chapter Eleven: I am the White Wolf
Dallas's POV:
I was going to be a mom, I mean I remember telling Cale that I was not ready for pups, but this has to be a sign. A sign from my parents; the spirits sent me down this special pup and I am 100% sure that my parents picked out its amazing little spirit.
Cale looked so excited and so happy, I am glad that I was able to give him the thing that he has always wanted. The doctor came in to check the baby again before I left the hospital. He gave me an ultra sound and told me everything with my baby looked great and he printed us off a picture. I knew that as being a she-wolf we only carry our pups for five months, so I should be graduating high school really close to my due date.
After the doctor had checked me out and took my stitches out, being a werewolf we heal pretty fast. Cale helped me get dressed and helped me out to the car. He was actually going to spend the rest of the week here with me. He didn't want to leave me and his baby alone without him.
When we had returned to my neighborhood, I pointed out Alpha Zane's House, Emily's House, and then I pointed to mine where I will be staying the rest of the week, which was now only four days. We pulled into the driveway of my house and got out.
"Your house is beautiful Dallas."
"Thank you, my parents designed it, it even has a pool out back."
"Ummm, we may have to use that while we are here."
He walked up to me and put his arm around my waist as we walked up to the front door. I used the keys to open the front door and pushed it open and walked in. Cale followed me and then stopped and started to growl.
I turned around and his eyes were black. "Cale what is the matter?"
"Why does it smell like another guy in here?"
I started to laugh and he looked at me, telling me that he was serious. "Cale, my first mate Jensen lived here for a year with my parents and I. As you now know, I was a virgin when we first made love so its not like him and I did anything here. It smells like him because his stuff is still in here, Emily is in the process of taking it out and giving it to his parents. But I would really like to take some things back with me to our home."
I walked over to him and took his hands and placed them on my stomach. "Cale, I love you and the baby that is inside me is a part of both of us and was made out of pure love. I am not going anywhere so you have nothing to worry about."
He moved his hands to my waist and pulled me close to him, and kissed me like he always did with so much passion. He picked me up and pulled away.
"Where is your room?"
"It is up the stairs and last door on your right."
It felt like we flew up the stairs and I was placed softly on the bed, and then undressed in like seconds. I looked up and saw Cale naked as well.
"Baby, if this hurts at all tell me, I don't want to hurt you or our baby." I smiled and nodded.
After about an hour of making love, I decided to take a hot bath and Cale was going to make dinner. The bath felt so good, it was relaxing my stiff muscles from our hour of making love. I guess I fell asleep in there because, I opened my eyes, and Cale was there smiling at me.
"Dinner is ready my beautiful."
He helped me out of the bath tub and helped me into some pajamas because after dinner, we were just planning on going to bed because it is pretty late and I had my coming out party dinner tomorrow. Dinner was amazing and by the time we were done, we were both exhausted, so we headed to bed and past out within seconds.
I slept great until I woke up in the morning and ran into the bathroom. Cale must have felt me leave the bed because he was right on my heels. I got to the toilet and emptied everything I ate last night, while Cale held my hair. When I was sure I was done, I got up and brushed my teeth.
"Dallas are you okay?"
"Cale did you forget that I am pregnant, it is most likely morning sickness."
"Right I forgot about the morning sickness thing. Are you feeling better now?"
"Yes, but now I feel hungry."
"Well let me go make you breakfast. Take a shower and change, because we have to go and find you a amazing dress to wear tonight."
I smiled and nodded. Cale headed downstairs while I hopped into the shower and took a warm shower. After I got out I got dressed and blow dried my hair and put some simple make-up on and headed downstairs. Whatever Cale was cooking smelt amazing, I walked in and sat at the bar and he had placed a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast in front of me.
"While you eat, I am going to shower. I ate already."
He walked around to me and kissed me on the lips and left. The breakfast was amazing, after I was done I rinsed my plate and put it in the dishwasher and headed to the living room to watch some television until Cale was ready.
I was in the middle of a soap opera when Cale came bouncing downstairs. "Babe are you ready to go shopping?"
"Yes I am, and do you think we can get some bigger clothes for when, you know I get bigger?"
"Yes of course babe."
We headed to the mall and decided to check the store that was just dresses. I grabbed a few and Cale grabbed a few before I was pushed inside a dressing room. I was getting frustrated because all the dresses show my baby bump and I didn't want my old pack to know I was pregnant just yet.
Cale could tell I was not having a good time. "Baby what is wrong?"
"All these dresses show my baby bump, I didn't realize I was showing already and I don't want the pack to know I am pregnant."
"I will go look and see if I can find one that will hide your bump."
He was only gone for a few minutes until he handed me a pink Grecian style dress with a side strap that was beautiful. I quickly put it on and opened the door. Cale stood there with his mouth wide open.
"So what do you think?" I spun around, to show him how pretty it was and how it hid my baby bump.
"Dallas you look absolutely amazing, I think you should get that one."
I smiled and went back into the dressing room and came out holding the pink dress. Cale wouldn't let me pay for it and we were out, thank goodness that was the first dress shopping experience that I truly hated.
After a few hours of shopping for maternity clothes we headed back to my house. The party started in an hour and I wanted to have enough time to get ready. I had decided to wear my hair straight, so I took the time to straighten it. I put some light make-up on and put some pink lip gloss on, and put on some sliver flats I bought because I was to scared to trip wearing heels, and I was ready to go.
I came out of the bathroom and Cale was sitting on the bed in a nice suit. He looked as though he was deep in thought. I sat down next to him,
"Cale are you okay?"
His head shot up and he stood up and looked at me. "Wow Dallas, you are the most beautiful mate I have ever seen."
I just laughed. Cale pulled something out of his pocket and got on his knee. Was he really doing what I thought he was doing?
"Dallas I know that we have only known each other for a short while, but you have given me everything I have always dreamed of. You accepted me as your mate, and are giving me a child that will have alpha blood running through him or her. I love you so much and you have made my life complete, will you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
Oh my god he did just do what I thought he was doing. I kept the tears from falling because I didn't feel like fixing my make-up.
I looked at him with a smile, "Yes Cale I would love to be your wife."
He smiled and opened the box and there sat the most amazing ring I have ever seen. It was a in a blue-green Tiffany's & Co. Box and it was a 1 1/2 carat round setting, with smaller diamonds on the band. He pulled the ring from the box and slipped it onto my ring finger and it fit perfectly.
"I hope you know that I won't marry you until I have our baby and lose the weight."
"That is fine with me, you said yes and that is all that matters."
He stood up and I stood up and he pulled me into a hug and spun me around. The doorbell rang so Cale went to get it while I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs.
Emily stood there standing. "Wow Dallas you have been my best friend since we were tiny and you never have straightened your hair. It looks amazing."
"Thanks Emily, it just takes forever to straighten it." I pushed a stray hair away and I heard Emily scream.
"What Emily?"
She ran over to me and grabbed my left hand. "When were you going to tell me that you were engaged?"
"Em, it just barely happened right before you rang the doorbell."
"Damn Cale, you did a great job of picking this out."
"Actually my mother helped me." I always knew his mother had good taste.
"Well Cale and Emily we better get going, I don't want to be late for my own party."
We all hopped in Emily's car and headed to Alpha Zane's house. There were already a ton of people already there. Emily and Cale got out of the car and I stayed sitting in the car. I was really nervous, what were they going to think of me?
Cale opened my door and helped me out. "Sorry Cale I am just nervous."
"You don't have to be, you grew up in this pack and they love you and they always will, and if they don't it's their loss."
I smiled, and he put his arm around my waist. We headed into the back yard and I was welcomed with hugs and greeting. It felt as though I never left. We all sat down at the tables, while Alpha Zane made his way to the little stage he had built in his back yard.
"I have called this pack gathering to welcome our own Dallas Harris back to our pack for a few days and to announce something to the pack, Dallas can you please come up on stage with me."
I nodded and got up and headed to the stage. Zane helped me up the last step and pulled me towards him.
"Alright, most of you have no idea what Dallas really is. Most of you are probably wondering why she never joined the trainings when she was younger, and also never participated in the pack runs. Dallas will you please turn around and take them out."
I turned around and took out my contacts and turned around with my eyes still closed and I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. Everyone started to chatter and you really couldn't understand them.
"Everyone please be quite." Zane used his alpha voice and everyone became quite.
"As you can see Dallas has purple eyes, which means she is the legendary white wolf. We wanted to tell you because she left us because everyone was blaming her for her parents and Jensen's deaths. What you have to understand is that they all took an oath to protect Dallas, because if she dies all the packs will start wars and kill each other off. The rouges and hunters want her dead because that's why all the wolves will kill one another off and they would finally be in control."
"She could be wearing contacts, have her shift so she can prove that she is the white wolf." Of course Mr. Walker had to be the one to say that.
I couldn't shift because I am pregnant and she-wolves can't shift while they are carrying a child.
"Shift now Dallas." God, he really didn't like me. What did I ever do to him to make him hate me so much?
I looked at Zane and he nodded his head, and I looked at Cale and he did the same. "I can't shift because I am pregnant." I put my hand under my stomach to show my baby bump. Everyone was gasping.
"Dallas are you telling me that you are carrying Jensen's child?"
"Mr. Walker, Jensen was not 18 yet so the mating had not taken place yet."
"Then how are you pregnant?"
"Matt, have you never heard the white wolf legend?" Zane stepped into help.
"Yes I have."
"Well you must have missed out on the part that said the white wolf has two mates. Dallas here has met and mated with her second mate."
"Who the hell would want her after what she has done to her parents and my son?"
I saw Cale stand up and walk up the stage and put his arm around my waist and pulled me into him.
"I wanted her and she is now mine. How dare you speak about her like that? She is going to be the luna of my pack, the mother of my child, and my wife."
"You mean she has mated to an alpha?"
"Yes I am Alpha Cale of the Salem Pack. And I can see why she left you guys, you are a horrible and a judgmental pack, Alpha Zane and Emily are the only sane ones. You have nothing to worry, she is apart of my pack now and she won't ever return."
He started to pull me off the stage when Alpha Zane spoke up. "Any of you that speak ill of Dallas will be cast out of this pack. We are family and we should never treat someone with so much disrespect. Am I understood?"
They all bowed there heads and said, 'Yes Alpha.'
"Now please welcome Dallas home and lets all enjoy the feast."
Everyone took there seats and we all had an amazing dinner. Everyone was finally treating me like they did before everything happened. We were dancing, and I felt as though I was going to throw up. I ran into the woods and released everything that I had just eaten. Thank goodness for Cale he was holding my hair and rubbing my back.
"Baby I think you and the baby have had enough for tonight lets head home and get you two to bed."
"Sounds good to me, my feet are pretty swollen and I am pretty tired."
Cale picked me up bridal style and I put my head in the crook of his neck and closed my eyes. I heard Cale say, "Thank you everyone for tonight, but as you can see Dallas is really warn out and with the baby, she needs her rest. We will be around for two more days if you would like to come and ask Dallas any questions. Thank you Alpha Zane for an amazing party and dinner."
I fell asleep after and awoke laying on my bed and feeling Cale take my dress off and put one of his shirts over my head. He pulled the covers back and I climbed under them and Cale climbed in next to me pulling me to his side.
"I love you Cale, you have made me the happiest mate in the world."
"I love you too baby. Now get some sleep, because we will probably have a busy next few days."
I did as he said and closed my eyes and I was out cold. I hoped that when I woke up everyone here will still respect me, like I respect them.
