Angela's POV:
Hi. I'm Angela Berry! The famous singer. Yes I'm the girl who dated Shawn Mendes. You're probably wondering 'why did she say dated? Doesn't she mean dating?' Well no I don't. You see Shawn broke up with me because he "thinks" he likes his friend Lauren and he needed to see if his feelings were real. That was 6 months ago and to this day they are still together so I guess his feelings really were real. I haven't performed since our breakup because I've been to heartbroken to go to any shows. I knew that if I saw I'm there with her than I would break down so I just never went. But there is a red carpet for the VMA's tonight and I am going and I get to perform. I wrote a new song 'jar of hearts' that I'm performing than I am performing my new song 'toxic' with Selena Gomez and Camilla Cabello.

"Angela" "Angela" "Angela" is all I heard back and forth. "Angela what happened with you and singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes?" That question made me stop and face the reporter. "We just-umm- we fell out of love I guess" I mumble sadly. "How do you feel when you see him with his new, might I add infamous, girlfriend Lauren?" She asks. "Heartbroken" I state truthfully and painfully. "Thank you for your time" she says as she moves on to the next artist.
I walk down the carpet hearing reporters screaming and flashing camera lights everywhere. "Shawn? Lauren?" Hearing those names made me stop in my tracks. It felt like the whole world was going in slow motion as I turn around and see them. Smiling and posing. I turned away as soon as we had made eye contact. I stopped when Austin Mahone came up to me and asked for us to take a selfie. I said yes and he turned on his camera. Just as we were taking the picture I saw Shawn staring at us from the corner of my eye. I looked over confused and noticed he looked jealous. 'Hmmm' I thought. 'Maybe I could have fun with this' I think to myself. "Hey Austin?" I ask. "Yeah?" He says. "Can you help me with something" I ask. "Anything for you" he playfully winks. "Will you be my fake boyfriend for the night" I ask. "Sure. But why" he says slinging his arm over my shoulders. "I need you to help me show Shawn what he's missing" I say. "Ok but I think he already knows" he says pointing towards Shawn. I look over and Shawn was looking at us furiously. 'Ok than' I think.

"Intoxicate me now, with your lovin' now, I'm ready now" the girls and I finish. We go backstage as everyone cheers.

"The award of the night goes to..... Angela Berry" I stand up as everyone cheers. I walk on stage and accept my award. "Wow thank you so much. This is amazing. I'm sorry I don't have a speech planned so bare with me here" I say as everyone laughs. "Thank you so much. I wanna say thanks to my crew and my manager Kenzi and my boyfriend Austin Mahone, for everything. I wouldn't be here without you. Thank you Kenzi for being there and helping me through tears, and heartbreaks. You're amazing thank you much. I LOVE YOU GUYS" I yell as I walk off stage. As I'm walking back to my seat I see Shawn looking at me with tears in his eyes. I look away confused and keep walking. I was so close to my table when a hand pulled me back. I look back to see who it was and I saw Aaliyah?? Shawn's sister. "Hey girl how are you" I ask hugging her. "I'm good how about you?" She smiles hugging me back. "Great" I say. "Hey my parents want to say hi" she says pulling me towards them. When Shawn and I were dating his family and I got really close. "Hi Manny and Karen" I say. "Hi Angela I loved your performance." Shawn's mom gushed. "Thank you" I smile. "How are you" she asks. "I'm really good. How about you?" I ask. "Amazing. So I hear you and Austin Mahoe are dating" she says smiling but I can see the sadness and slight disgust towards Austin in her eyes thinking I've moved on from Shawn. "Hahaha it's Mahone and yes I am" I laugh. "I'm happy that you came but I really must get back to my table" I say leaving. "Bye" they all say. Shawn just sat there the whole time staring at me with pain in his eyes. I walk out of the show room to use the restroom. As I near the door I hear someone shouting my name. I turn around and see its Shawn. "Angela p-please" he says pleadingly "what Shawn" I mumble. "I made a mistake" he cries. "How?" I ask just to see what he says. "I still love you. I made the biggest mistake of my life letting you go and it took you leaving for me to realize that. When I saw you on stage announcing you and Austin were dating I just wanted to die. I love you so much and I want you back. P-please" he cries. I think for a minute while crying. "I forgive you" I say my voice cracking. "R-really?" He says hope in his eyes. "Yes. I love you so much" I say kissing him. "I love you so much more" he says after we pull away. "What about Austin" he asks. "We were just faking so I could show you what you were missing out on" I laugh. He laughs "you did an amazing job" he chuckles. "What about Lauren" I ask. "We broke up. I realized I need you not her" he says. "I love you" I say hugging him. "I love you too" he says kissing me after. We walk back in the room smiling and holding hands. 'I'm so lucky' I think to myself.
