Once again, the two authors of this book ran into some Dora troubles.
See, after not finding Weston's top lip, Dora went AWOL, and they need to find her.
With map in possession, the girls went on their adventure.
First they walk along the path and stop at a bridge where they see Brandon.
"Hey B! What's up?" Dakota asks.
"Kota! Mel! I'm just chilling. Some monkey told me to wait here," Brandon tells them.
"Must've been Boots," Melody realizes, "Which way did he go?"
"Across this bridge."
"Thanks B, we'll catch you later," the girls call out to him while crossing the bridge.
"Bye!" he shouts back.
While walking on the bridge, one side collapses, making the girls cling to the other side.
They hear laughter from the broken end and look over.
"Those damn squirtles!" Dakota says.
"What?" Melody asks.
"You're such a fake Pokémon fan," Kota rolls her eyes and goes on, "Squirtles are trouble makers, we have to catch them!"
Dakota turns the SnapBack that magically appeared on her head for this one scene backwards so the rim was facing behind her.
The Pokémon theme song started playing in the back as Kota pulled out a poké ball.
Pokémon, gotta catch 'em all!
Dakota throws the red and white ball across the bridge and to the squirtle.
"Ha! Gotcha!" the girl cheered.
Melody blinked repeatedly in utter confusion as Dakota satisfyingly tossed the poké ball in her hand.
The two crossed the bride to see a fake baby sitting right there.
Melody reached down and picked it up. The word "DABDAD" was written across its forehead in sharpie.
"THAT'S MY BABY!" someone screeched in the distance.
A figure approached from the distance and snatched the baby from Mel's hands.
"Weston?" she asks.
"Hey Mel, Kota," he gives the girls a subtle nod, as if the last minute never happened.
"Wes, I'd love to chat, but we need to skip to the next scene. Any last words?" Kota questions.
"Dix out for harambe, peace out," Weston flashes a peace sign and disappears into thin air.
The girls continue on their path to Dora when they finally see her. The short haired girl had her back to Mel and Kota.
"Dora!" Melody squealed and tackled her.
"Guys, it's me BabyAriel."
(creds to @trying-to-be-cool for commenting this on our first 'YouNow // Group Chat' imagine)
"Oh... this is awkward," Melody slowly backs away.
The two continue their adventure with Melody singing a song.
"Walking walking walking. Walking fast walking slow. Walking walking walking," she sang her heart out.
"Wanna shut up?" Kota asks.
"Nope. Walking walking walking."
Dakota rolled her eyes and kept going. Soon enough the girls were in the Mario Kart world.
They got in their vehicles and hit the gas pedal, speeding down the street and collecting power ups.
After crossing the finish line with Dakota in first place and Melody in seventh, they see Mario. Mario Selman to be more specific.
"Hey Dakota, congrats on first place! But can you help me?"
"Sure, what do you need?"
"I can't find Luigi. But this fox wearing a blue bandana said he took him or something."
"Oh, that's Swiper."
"Cool. I'll find him later."
"Sweet. See you dude."
"See ya."
The girls continued on and ended up at some club. It had two bodyguards in the front and they were arguing with...Weston?
The two girls approached.
"What's the problem here?" Mel asks.
"This club is restricted only for people with top lips," one bodyguard explains.
The other continues, "Yeah, so you two may enter."
"Wait, he's with us. And the only reason he doesn't have a top lip is because he gave it to Kylie Jenner," Kota told them.
The guards exchanged a look and then agreed, "Fine, but don't cause any trouble you little rat."
(creds to @WestonKouryTrash for the little rat thing XD)
"I won't, I swear," Weston assured.
The two girls and one dad-lover entered the club to see Dora dancing on a pole.
"No way..."
"It really is her..."
"I don't see Nevel..."
The dollar bills rained on the retired children's show star as she danced her heart out.
Dora finally turned and made eye contact with the girls.
It was at that moment, that very second, that precise time in this story, that—
"I'm Rick Harrison and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 21 years - you never know what is gonna come through that door."
