"I'm going to mess up," I burry my face into my hands.
"No, you're not," Nathan lifts my chin.
"Yes, I am."
"No."
"Stop. I'm going to mess up," I stare at Nathan. He takes a deep breath.
"No. You aren't. I've seen you out there, Anne," I notice a pleading in his eyes.
"I-"
"If you do it, I'll give you a prize," He puts his hand out. Okay, I shake it.
The ball comes fast. I hit the ball, not thinking about it helps.
Clunk
"Run! Anne!" The crowd screams. My ball is out. Out of the field. Anne...Anne!...ANNE!

I inhale and exhale.

Air rushes around me.

I gasp for air.

"Anne!" Nathan jumps down the bleachers, finding me. He hugs me tightly.
The crowd screams. My team surrounds me.
"Anne!" They pick me up, making me lose Nathan's grip.
Wait, did I mention?
This is a championship.
I take in the view from the top. My team and I scream. I'm tight with these girls, considering we spend so much time together.
"I did it!" I hug Nathan.
"I knew you would," He smiles at me, making my heart flutter. My parents come over, smiling at me proudly.
"I'll be right back."
"I'm surprised you don't want your prize yet," He calls after me.
"So what was it about this prize?"
"Hm," Nathan smiles a bit to himself. Before I know it, our faces our inches apart. He leans in slowly. Our lips meet, I giggle into the kiss. It all seems magical as we part.
During the kiss, he had grabbed my hands, but as we part, I realize that he slipped something into my hand. I look at the contents.
"Nathan!" I squeal, "How did you get this!?"
I turn the baseball signed by Josè Bautista over in my hand. He's the best.
"Magic," He bites his lip, as if thinking, "But, maybe as a thank you, you'd go on a date with me?"
"Hm, I mean I would be rude to say no,
right?" I giggle.
He kisses my forehead, "Yes, my champion."
