"Destiny!" I cringe at his ear-shattering scream. Nathan is loud, especially on broadcast.
"Nathan shush," I sigh, "And yes?"
"SAY HI!" He jumps off his bed and lunges at me, throwing a pillow at me.
I'm leaning with my back to the wall and checking snapchat. Reluctantly, I abandon my phone on the floor and stand up.
"Hi!" Comments flood in about me. I've been on Nathan's broadcast before, and although it was hard to win them over, they've been begging Nathan to broadcast with me again.
"Guys!" I cringe at his scream again, "What should we do!"
mel_ody: Challenges!
duhitzmollie: Q&A
dakota_rowland: @mel_ody yah, challenges!
"OH MY GOSH!" Nathan looks at me, "LET'S DO CHALLENGES!!"
"Okay," I shrug.
"Comment challenges," Nathan scans the comments as they pop up.
"Dance off!" Nathan and I have had many dance offs but we've never actually had an audience decide on who, "This is the final time. It decides."
"Works for me," Nathan glances at the broadcast again, "We'll do more later, trust me."
"Okay chose a song."
"Okay, Wild Life by Jack & Jack," I smirk at him.
"I was thinking maybe a-"
"You were thinking? I didn't know you did such things. Anyway, Wild Life doesn't tell us what moves to do, but it makes the challenge harder."
Nathan shakes his head in defeat while I just laugh.
"Alright, 3-2-1!"
I start the music and we start dancing. People start commenting who's better. It's toward the end of the chorus, so I do a finishing pose and check out the comments.
"I won! By far!"
"Not fair. I demand another challenge."
"Okay comment more challenges," I read the comments and spot one that seems fun, "Seven second challenge! Best out of five?"
"You're on."
"Okay you have seven seconds to complete the task. If you make it back you receive a point. We do five rounds, both of us going is one round. And yes, we will be using our phone timers."
Nathan and I agree that I go first because I won the dance off.
"Okay, find a bandana," Nathan states. I run to his closet and find a bandana and run back.
"That was exactly seven seconds," I laugh at him looking super sad.
"Fine, but it's my turn and I'm gonna beat you by far!"
"Okay, get me a thing of jello," There's a shriek and a ton of footsteps, but somehow he ends up at the door at exactly six seconds.
"HOW DID YOU DO THAT!" I scream.
"Magically," He smirks at me and grabs his phone back, "Okay, find my hoverboard."
"I'm not a GPS to find your things you know."
"Go!"
I run out into the hallway and find his hoverboard outside the door. Picking it up, I run back.
"Hah! Six seconds."
"Oh shush. I'm getting you back."
I think of a hard but reasonable one. I notice a book right behind the laptop slightly hidden.
"Find me a book."
Nathan runs to his closet and starts rummaging a ton. He throws things out and to out it nicely, makes a huge mess.
"Three, two, one!" I laugh when he stands up and glares at me.
"I don't have a-you're kidding me!"
Nathan is staring at the desk and the three books stacked on his dresser.
"I didn't even see the books on the dresser!" I protest.
"That's not fair! Fine, find me a blanket."
I know Nathan had pulled a blanket out of the closet, so I found it on the ground next to the bed.
"I got it," He sighed, angry, "In return, can you find me water."
I was playing nice because I already was ahead. He reached out and handed me my water, which I proceeded to chug.
"Okay," Nathan narrowed his eyes and looked around the room, "Get me a phone please."
Before he says go, I grab his phone out of his hand.
"Done. Even if you win this round, I'm still going to win."
"Okay, fine you win."
"I could have told you that. I have two wins over none for you."
"Wait, I have a challenge idea!" Before I can ask, he runs out of the room, "Hey guys. I know, I am better than Nathan. Obviously. He's just a salty loser.
"Destiny, we're going to broadcast outside. I'm getting the stuff for the broadcast take the laptop," He pokes his head into the room.
I grab the laptop and take it outside. There's a window ledge thing I put the laptop on and stand on the grass.
"How are your days? Good? Good. Anyway-"
I scream as Nathan, who has snuck behind me, dumps ice water onto me so I'm soaking wet.
"Nathan! What was that for?"
"It's the ice bucket challenge!" He emphasizes challenge.
"That's not fair," I pout. He laughs at me. I'm shivering because the water was freezing.
Before I know it, he's moving toward me and places a gentle kiss on my lips, "I'm sorry," He whispers.
I've liked Nathan for forever but I never thought anything would happen.
"Nathan," I gasp.
"I'm sorry."
"Why?"
"Because I should have never dumped ice water on you. That's not a gentlemen move."
"You're just salty," I giggle. He wraps is arms around me.
"Yeah, yeah, I was because I wanted to impress you today."
"Why?"
"Maybe because I like you."
"Well that's funny," My face is warm from blushing, "Because maybe I like you back."
If he was surprised to hear that, he didn't show it.
"Destiny?"
"Yeah?"
"Did I win the challenge competition?"
"You wish," He winces as I hit him on the shoulder.
"Would this help?" Nathan takes a deep breath, gathering confidence, "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes, yes I will," I kiss him again and he immediately does the same. When we pull away, I catch a glimmer of pure happiness.
"Did that make me win?"
"Maybe."
I can tell he's happy I declared him the winner.
"But you're my winner."
