[MACK]

Kicking out a room full of super humans is harder than it looks.

"Come on people, everyone out! A little quicker please! You have super speed. Use it," I say, clapping my hands. The last thing I need is a whole bunch of Supers and former enemies lounging around when Levi wakes up. His brain got pretty screwed up so this is going to be a delicate process.

Pollux shoots me a dirty look but eventually him and the rest of the Olympians leave along with the rescued Supers. Mike, Cammie, Atlas, and Circe all say their goodbyes before heading out too until all that's left is my father and Finn.

"I'll give you some time to work with Levi but then we really need to talk. I'll go grab the stuff, just come out when you're done," my father says to me before retreating to his office.

"I'll give you some space too," Finn says even though he looks hesitant, "You probably have a lot to talk about."

I know the whole Levi thing is hard form him. We never really had a chance to adapt after I picked. I got abducted and then Levi was still captured and relationships just didn't seem important. But Finn's been with me every step of the way even if he is upset. I owe him one.

"Thank you," I nod. I watch as one clone flies out the window and nervously walk to greet the other.

I'm not really sure what I expect. For Levi to come running out to greet me with a hug and giant smile? No, he wouldn't do that even if everything was normal.

Instead, he's sitting in the dark as I slowly enter the spare bedroom. I nervously flinch back as I flip on the lights and he's just staring at me.

He's still wearing the all white bodysuit Hudson's guards had on. His hair is cut close to his head. There dark bags under his eyes. And yet, it's Levi.

It's him.

Awake.

Alive.

Safe.

I can't help myself. Screw easing him into things. I rush over to him and wrap my arms around him as if I could just hold tight enough everything would be right in the world.

"Levi," I murmur, burying my face into his chest. There's a long moment where he just stands there stiffly but then finally he wraps his arms around me and rests his forehead on mine.

"Mack," he says, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I..." I try not even sure where to start. There's a million and one things I want to tell him. I want to make sure he's ok and ask what it was like and apologize again and again for getting him into this mess in the first place, "I'm so sorry."

He pulls away, his blue eyes as bright as ever, "I remember everything. Every second of it. I couldn't control my actions but I saw it all."

I swallow hard, trying to gage how he's feeling. Is he angry? Upset? Scared? His face is stoned cold and I have a hard of time reading him as if it were a stranger.

"I tried to fight it but they did things to me Mack... they messed with my mind," he tells me and I suddenly remember all those nightmares I had gotten of Levi covered in blood.

"It's over Levi, you're safe now," I tell him, placing a hand on his arm. He quickly jerks away and I try not to feel hurt. He's just having a hard time adjusting. He always hated being mind controlled.

"They told me something," Levi starts, "About you."

I meet his eyes, "What did they say?"

"They said you were the Prime. That the only reason Supers... the only reason I would like you was because you being the Prime made me want to," he asks. When I don't answer right away he says, "You don't seem surprised."

What's the point in lying?

"It's true."

Levi's fists clench and next thing I know he zooms over at super speed and pins me against the wall. He locks my hands with his and his face is so close I could probably lick his nose if I wanted.

"What the hell Mack?" he hisses, "You're the Prime!"

I try to press against him but his grip is iron, "I didn't know until I was captured! I thought I was human!"

My heart beat feels out of my chest and even though I hate to admit it, I'm scared. I'm scared of Levi.

"This changes everything," he grits, tightening his grip.

I gasp out as pain shoots down my arm, "Cut it out Levi! You're hurting me."

For a flicker of a second the anger fades from his eyes, he lets go and I fall to the floor. As I hesitantly find my footing again I look up to see Levi clenching his head.

"This changes everything," he repeats again, more to himself, "How can I trust you? How do I know what I feel for you is real? How do I know you're just not another thing controlling me?"

He looks at me like I'm a monster and I feel my heart begin to fracture.

"Levi..." I plead, "I never asked to be the Prime. I never asked for any of this. You know I would never try to hurt you. Please Levi, I love you."

"That's not enough Mack" he says coldly, still clutching his head, "I just... I need to think."

He glances at the nearest wall, as if debating he should just burst through. Instead, he pushes past me and out the door.

I follow at his heels. I just need him to calm down. I just need him to understand I'm not the bad guy here. "Wait up!"

My dad is waiting in the living room holding another box. "Oh there you are Mack. I have what I wanted to show you."

"Really not the time dad."

To my surprise, Levi actually stops. "No, lets see it," he says.

My father and I exchange a look.

"I don't think that's the best idea," my dad tries.

Levi rolls his eyes and next thing I know the box is in his hands and he's opening it up. He picks up a vile inside filled with bright blue liquid. "What the hell is this?"

My dad sighs, "I call it the Switch. I've been working on it for a while to make amends for what I've unleashed upon the world. If you inject it into a Super's bloodstream it'll take away their powers."

Levi's eyes narrow and he crushes the glass with his hand. The liquid drips down to the floor. "You want to make us helpless. Just another way for you to control us."

My father shakes his head, "It's not about control. It's about power. No one person should have the power you do. I created the Supers and now it's my job to make things right."

"I can't let you do that," a new voice says.

We all look to see Pollux hovering by the window. He must have stuck around to eavesdrop. There's a blur and suddenly he has my dad by the throat. "You see, I like this power and I'm not going to let anyone take this from me. Too bad for you this Switch is the one thing in my way. Once I get rid of you no one can stop me."

My dad doesn't flinch in front of the Super. "There will be always be someone. No matter how powerful you think you are there will always be someone who can rise up."

Pollux rolls his eyes and begins raising my dad into the air by his throat, choking him. "Maybe, but there's no one who can save you now."

"Stop it! Put him down!" I shout, turning to Levi who's standing shocked in the corner, "Levi do something!"

Pollux actually laughs, "Yes Levi. Do Something since you always do exactly what she says. Follow her orders."

My dad starts struggling more and more and I know Pollux is killing him.

"Levi, please!"

"Come stop me Levi. You are her little lap dog after all. Obeying her every command," Pollux grins. He really needs to shut up.

"I...I..." Levi says, still clutching his head and looking back and forth between us.

Seriously? What the hell is wrong with him? Why won't he do something!?

I stop waiting for someone else to play hero and instead rush at Pollux and start clawing at him, punching and kicking and doing anything to make him stop. But it's useless.

It really all about power and right now I'm powerless.

"Pathetic," Pollux shakes his head at me before slapping me to the side with such force I fly into the far wall. I watch crumpled from the floor. Pollux twists his hands, theres a sickening crack, and my dad falls motionless to the floor.

I really do break this time.

I scream out, tears flooding out shamelessly as I crawl over and cradle my fathers head in my lap. No, no, no he can't be dead. He can't be.

"Like I said, pathetic," Pollux says before motioning to Levi, "Come on, we're leaving."

Levi looks broken and lost and confused but I don't care. He could have stopped this. He could have saved my dad. For once he could have been the hero.

"Mack..." he starts, his eyes meeting mine.

"Get the hell out of here," I yell at him and before I know it he zooms out the window with Pollux following.

And I'm left all alone.
