I was caught up in straightening my hair when Harry, my boyfriend, walked in.
“Hi babe” he said and slipped his hands around my waist. “You look gorgeous, did you know that?” He said and placed a kiss on my cheek.
I felt my cheeks burning hot. He’d always had that effect on me. No matter what he said.
I finished straightening my hair, still in the arms of Harry. “We have to go, come on babe” He said and dragged me out of the bathroom and down into the front hall of the apartment that him and Louis shared.
Eleanor was standing beside Louis, obviously just waiting for us. She was wearing a beautiful black dress, it was strapless and stopped just above her knees. She was looking absolutely dashing. I couldn’t help it but to feel a tad out of place.
I was wearing a black dress also. But mine was quite shorter than Eleanor’s. Maybe I was letting myself out there a tad to much? But I knew Harry liked this dress, so I decided not to change.
Throughout the entire car ride, Harry had his hand around my waist. Not letting me go. He would place a kiss every now and then on my cheek.
We finally arrived at the club. Normally, I wasn’t the type to go party. But Harry had spent almost an entire week trying to convince me to go. And I suppose it would be fun, so I tagged along.
The music was incredibly loud. There were people everywhere. Smashing up against each other. I was starting to feel quite anxious. Harry noticed.
“Don’t worry babe, I’m here” He half-yelled in my ear. I turned my head and nodded sweetly at him. He smiled at me, flashing those cute dimples of his. I felt the butterflies in my stomach go nuts.
We headed out to find the rest of the lads. Niall was in the middle of the dance floor practically grinding up at every girl he could. After all, he was the last single lad back.
Zayn was dancing with Perrie. And Louis was talking with Liam.
“Harry, I really don’t like this, there are far to many people to my liking” He gave me an apologizing look.
“Stay here babe. I’m just gonna get us something to drink” I nodded. Harry gave me a quick peek on the lips. Went off, and slowly faded into the massive amount of partying people.
It felt like forever had gone by, and Harry still hadn’t returned with our drinks. I began searching for him. But failed. He was absolutely nowhere to be found.
I found myself in the middle of the dance floor. Not the exact spot I would prefer.
Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around in relief. Just to realize that it wasn’t Harry. It was Thomas. My gay-exboyfriend.
“y/n, bloody hell. Look at you, you look amazing” Thomas practically screamed.
“You too darling” I said and gave Thomas a hug. I had missed him dearly.
“How are things with you and Andrew?” I asked him.
“Oh you know, just the same old” He said and flashed me the enormous diamond ring. I stood there in utter aw. I had never seen such a beautiful ring.
“Congratulations babe, I’m so happy for you” I said and gave him a hug. Suddenly, I felt someone grab my arm tightly and dragging me towards the exit. It was Harry.
“Babe, stop.” I said, trying to get loose. His grip only tightened more as I struggled to get free.
“Harry, I’m serious, stop” He ignored me once again and dragged me into his car.
He got into the drivers seat and drove off.
The entire trip home was quiet. Until I broke the silence.
“What’s wrong with you?” I questioned him. He looked at me with red, puffy eyes. He had been crying.
“Harry babe, why are you crying?” He still wouldn’t answer me. “Harry, answer me”
“Y-y-y-you”
“Me what?”
“You were with him, and I was standing right behind you” What on earth was he talking about? With who?
“You cheated on me, right in front of my face y/n” Holy cricket. He was talking about Thomas.
I laughed. Patheticly as that is.
“Harry, i”
“Save it y/n. I don’t even wanna know” He cried. I decided just to keep my mouth shut. That would probably be the best.
When we arrived at the flat, Harry stormed out of the car and into the apartment.
He closed the door behind him. Right in my face. That’s it. I have had enough, I thought.
I stormed in through the front door to find him sitting on the couch. His face was dull, almost lifeless.
“What the fuck is your problem” I yelled.
“My problem, y/n, is that you were cheating on me. Right in front of my face” - He cried but yet continued - “I would never cheat on you. because I love you” - He said, I had placed myself on the couch. He was pacing around in front of me.
“I love you y/n, and that, that was probably the worst thing you could possibly have done. I was standing right there. Right behind you”
I laughed once again. I couldn’t help it.
“Harry, babe. The bloke that I was standing with, is my ex boyfriend” - “Well that makes it so much better, doesn’t it y/n”
“Harry, he’s gay”
I watched as his face expression turned. He looked embarrassed. He cupped his face in his hands and sat down beside me.
“I was so afraid” He sobbed - “of losing you. I love you y/n, so much”
I pulled him in for a hug. He continued to sob down into my lap.
“It’s okay babe.”
“No it’s not” He said, looking into my eyes. -“I treated you like shit. But I was so afraid. Right when you were standing in the arms of another lad. I had it. You mean so much to me, and I’m never gonna let you go. The thought of you being somebody else’s. I only want you.” He said and pulled me in for a passionate kiss.
“I love you Harry” I said, resting my forehead on his.
“I love you too y/n”
