*Lainey's pov*
We sat in the living room, occasionally falling into silence but other times just talking like good friends.
I would exchange awkward glances with Mercades, sometimes looking at her ring and feel my heart break a little piece by piece.
Greg said something about some plan but there wasn't much happening till now. I know I should trust him with this. I looked at him and he just gave me a reassuring nod.
Bobby was telling us something about his camera when the doorbell rang and Greg casually got up to answer the door. I wondered if this was part of his plan.
I heard his distinctly talking to someone but couldn't figure out who and then entered the room again with Selena.
Selena and I have been bestfriends for a long time though we drifted but our friendship's going pretty great now. I could definitely depend on her to save me from the awkward.
Bobby seemed to choke on his water at the sight of my highschool best friend "Selena?" He almost croaked.
Oh?
I saw Greg slipping by side, smiling.
"What's going on?" I whispered to him and I saw Selena's wide eyes.
"Shhh trust me." He said putting an arm around me, I instantly felt safer and better. He turned his head slightly backwards and I heard him typing on his phone.
Two seconds later, my phone pinged in my hands "Exes" He had sent.
Oh.
I looked at him, curious but didn't say anything turning to the apparent ex lovers and the drama.
"I-" Bobby tried to speak but stopped.
Mercades broke the tension with the question most of us wanted the answer to "What's going on?"
More silence.
"Hi" Selena finally blurted looking at Bobby.
Mercades gave me a confused look, diffusing the earlier tension. I shrugged back at her.
I heard Greg typing behind me and soon stepped aside.
"Alright, you guys so I gotta go meet someone. Have fun, you all." He squeezed my shoulder and casually strolled out of the house. He was probably going to meet Andy and gosh this was awkward.
"Well?" I finally questioned.
"Could I talk to you in the kitchen?" Selena turned to me.
"Sure." I said turning.
We entered the kitchen and I rested one hand on the counter waiting for her to explain.
"Well, Bobby and I have history." She said nervously.
"I'm listening." I stood up straighter.
"Well, we meet at a concert in like high school but you and I weren't talking then. Big fight remember?" I nodded recalling "So yeah, we had a thing for a while but then abruptly ended, like I don't even remember how but I remember it being terrible and to be honest I've never been over him but he did and just look how gorgeous his girlfriend is! And I feel so weird but I still like him a lot so I don't know."
Selena finished in a rambling mess.
"She is gorgeous." I said agreeing with her.
"Are you even listening to me?! What do I even do?"
"Do you want him back?"
"I don't know, I don't know. I mean we were teenagers then and it's been years and again have you seen his girlfriend? Even if I wanted him he wouldn't want me."
"Don't be so sure." This was really affecting her.
"How are so cool about this??" She asked losing patience.
"Calm your tits. I like his girlfriend, and she likes me. You like him and he probably likes you too."
"You what??"
"Shush." I said dismissing her question. "What now?"
"I don't know. I really don't."
Something struck me and I went back to the room.
"So" I said clapping me hands. "Selena and Bobby used to be a thing and I think they still like each other. I like Mercades and I hope she likes me." I said turning to her, trying to sound confident when I was actually feeling breathless by speaking so fast.
Bobby opened to his mouth to say something but closed it again, it wasn't really his day for words.
"So now what?" He said finally, surprising all of us.
"Well.." I started. I actually had no idea.
"We have been having problems, Bobby." Mercades finally spoke.
Silence feel over again.
Bobby got up "I need some air."
"Actually" Mercades got up too "How about coffee? With Selena? I think you guys have some catching up to do."
Visibly taken aback, he asked her shocked "Ar-what about you?"
"Think I'll stay here. With Lainey. You guys go ahead." She said waving her hand at them.
Mechanically Bobby got his jacket and held the door open for Selena who awkwardly waved at us and went out.
The door shut and the beautiful girl turned to me.
"Wow wasn't that something?" She asked.
"Wow aren't you something." I said back, I was shocked too.
"Hmm think I'd rather be yours." She said grinning.
I pulled her to me by her waist and she put her hands around my neck.
I pressed my lips against her and we forgot the world for a while.

*Greg's pov*
I met Andy near the grounds at around 7 and he came towards me smiling his brilliant smile. The smile I badly wanted to get used to.
"Nice to see you again." He said and I just laughed. This all seemed so surreal.
We started walking, nowhere in particular.
"Oh and I had to tell that we leave at 3. Like 3 AM so.. Yeah."
"Oh. So what do we have plans yet?"
"Well we could get a hotel room and I could leave by 3 and play shows while spend a few days unable to walk." He said casually adding a wink.
Damn he was hot.
"Or hmm I don't know. What did you have in mind?"
I thought for a while and finally came up with an answer, "Think I'd like to take you to dinner first."
"Classy." He said with an impressed expression. "So date?"
"Date." I said genuinely smiled. "But I would still like to take up your offer." I said flirting.
He moved incredibly close and whispered in his deep, sexy voice "Of course you do." and placed a cute, innocent kiss on my temple.
Oh the things he can do to me.
We ended up going to a super busy place waiting in line for about two hours but it seemed worth it. Anything seemed worth with Andy.
We roamed the streets, it was still a bit chilly and we just talked about stuff, everything possible. Partly to spend time, partly because we didn't know where to go.
It was around 11:30 already when he finally decided to check in till he had to leave.
Though we hadn't done much we were utterly exhausted.
We opened the door to the room and collapsed on the bed, just laying there for while. Enjoying each other's company.
"I'm so fucking tired." He said looking at me with those beautiful eyes.
"So much."
We just stared at the ceiling for a while.
"Cuddles?" I said in fake excited voice, but really I would be excited if he said yes actually.
He didn't say anything, just turned and put his arms around me, burying his face in my neck and holding me close. I relaxed under his grip.
We stayed like that for a while.
"I'm glad to be here, Greg." He said suddenly. "I happy to hold you like this and be here and just all of this."
I smiled. "Me too." and closed my eyes.
"Promise to fuck when I get back." I couldn't control my laughter.
I loved how said all these things so casually. "You better."
We stayed like that till he had to leave.
