"We are here to discuss the topic of Uchiha Sasuke's return." the head ANBU announced.
"We propose a life time sentence to jail as punishment for the crimes he has done with Orochimaru. He has committed countless murders in the past 3 years. He had attacked and attempted killing our very own Uzimaki Naruto, who holds the kybuti which is one of the villages strongest defenses." Danzo said.
Tsunade stood up angrily. "Now wait a minute, we could make am agreement! We must discuss this when the boys conscious!"
Danzo rolled his visible eye. "What's there to discuss? He's done more crime than almost everyone else in jail. Just because your apprentice had a special attachment to him doesn't mean we should treat him differently!"
Tsunade knew he would say something like that. That's why she already thought of a response to it. "He has killed Orochimaru, a major threat to the village. Before that, he had been with him for 3 years. If he is willing to give us useful information we should, we MUST diminish his punishment. I propose if he gives us propitious information we should reduce his comeuppance to strict probation and serving the village."
The head ANBU thought for a moment. "We must see him. If he so much as poses a threat we shall lock him up. All in favor of Tsunade's proposal please say I."
A chorus of I's traveled through the room. Danzo glared at each and every one of them menacingly.
"All oppose Tsunade's proposal please say I."
Danzo and a few others said I.
"Then it is settled. If Uchiha Sasuke agrees to giving the village useful information on the people of Orochimaru then we shall punish him with strict probation and serving the village. But, if he gets into the slightest bit of trouble, he will be heavily punished. Meeting adjourned."
Tsunade smirked triumphantly at Danzo before leaving the room, head held high.

The black haired boy shrunk under the blonde's piercing eyes and left the shop in a hurry.
Nope, not him.
She has been keeping her eyes peeled for her mysterious guy. But every remotely cute male hardly even glanced at her. And whenever they did they'd look at her confused, then weirded out until they finally left, running for the hills.
It was around lunch time and he still didn't show up. She decided not to take a lunch break in case he came but no luck.
"Hi Ino!" Choji greeted happily.
"Hi Choji." she replied glumly, eyes still scanning the shop for her secret admirer.
"Anything interesting happen lately?" he asked.
Ino looked at him. Choji was a good friend. Why not rant her disappointment to him?
"Some guy sent me flowers and a love letter and I can't find out who it is. I think Sakura knows but I can't get a chance to ask. What if while I'm gone he will show up? Then I'll never find out who it is."
"Oh." he said, now sulking.
Of course she didn't notice the change in his behavior. She never did notice him and how he felt. And she probably never will.
" Oh! I got an idea! I'll go to Sakura's house and ask her while you stay here and see if he comes. He has black hair, blue eyes and he's really good looking. Okay?"
"Sure but he told you that thats how he looks?". Of coarse he knew the letter didn't describe him but he wanted to know what gave her the impression that her "secret admirer" looked as she said.
Choji felt defeated. Had she not read the part that said love has no face? It meant appearance doesn't contribute to love. Was it that hard to believe that be liked her? What's so impossible with a fat guy loving a skinny girl?
And yes, although he didn't allow anyone to call him fat he still called himself that. And this indirect rejection made his self-esteem go even lower.
Who could love a fatso? Certainly no skinny girl. But in Konah, there weren't many obtuse people. All because with all the training it was hard to be over weight. Choji was naturally big boned and always hungry. Have you seen his family? Both his parents were big boned so he was too. The large amounts of food he consumed only contributed to the fat he already had.
"Well, no but how else would he look?"
"Ino, he could be anyone. If you don't know who he is, then how can you narrow it down to attractive men? It can be from anyone!"
She just wasn't taking the hint. Why does he even try?
He hoped to woo her with his writing but that only made her assume he was some muscly handsome guy.
He had always been told he had an innate ability to write but he hardly did. Who has ever heard of a ninja that writes poetry?
"I-I guess your right. But Sakura will tell me who it is anyway. No one but Sakura knows my favorite flowers that he sent me so he must have asked her. Thanks for watching the shop for me, bye!"
The moment she left Choji sighed. She didn't even remember telling him at the shop yesterday!
The obtuse male sat down on the chair and greeted any customers who came in. He envied every guy who entered. They all had an active love life. Let's see of they would have one if they were as big as him. Why can't anyone look behind the fat boy presented in front of them and see a romantic, caring boy? Life was sometimes too cruel.
Meanwhile, Ino was knocking eagerly on Sakura's door.
"BILLBOARD BROW! OPEN UP, I GOTTA ASK YOU SOMETHING!"
A very tired looking Sakura opened the door looking very annoyed. "Yes?" she croaked.
Ino raised her eyebrows. "What wrong with you?"
"I didn't sleep at all last night and I'm feeling sick. What do you want to ask, Ino-pig?"
Sakura had been worrying about what to do worn Sasuke woke up. She tried to pretend it wasn't happening and ignore it but every time she closed her eyes she saw him. Bloody, bruised, disheveled, injured, unconscious Sasuke.
She couldn't get his marred body out of her head. She also couldn't help but yearn to go and visit him. Heal him. She felt obliged to do something but she couldn't. He wouldn't want her to.
When Tsunade had woken him up after his battle with Itachi every time she looked him in the eye he looked back at her with hatred and annoyance. He attempted ignoring her but she was just so persistent and kept bugging him.
This wasn't even a fragment of the thoughts that ran through her head the last night.
Ino explained what happened from when she got home to when she came to Sakura's.
"So after Choji said that to me, I realized he could be anyone. So you HAVE to tell me who asked you."
Sakura looked at Ino, confusion mixed into her. "Not once in my whole life has a guy walked up to me and asked me your favorite flowers. Whoever this guy is, he knows you really well. Ino-pig, this isn't a secret admirer, this is a stalker. No one but me knows that so he probably stalked you a lot to find out. If I were you, I'd keep my eyes peeled for someone whose always near you."
And that was how Choji's innocent romantic attempt turned into a alleged stalking frenzy.

Sasuke finally woke up a bright white light.
"Ino?" he rasped, calling her for he assumed she would be in the room with him.
Then he realized that bright light was a lamp shining in his face.
He was all alone in a hospital room. In Konoha.
"Your awake?" he heard a voice ask from behind him. He turned to see a black haired nurse.
He couldn't help but feel disappointed. He thought Sakura was going to be the one nursing him. He wasn't surprised to find out she was a med nin. Orochimaru had been rather interested in Sakura when one of his allies had told him that she was Tsunade's apprentice. The snake like male had wanted to go after her so she could be his personal nurse. That idea had angered Sasuke but he couldn't do anything to stop him. Luckily, he had killed him before he could even make plans for that.
But anyway, that's how he found out she was a nurse.
He nodded to the nurse, not wanting to talk for it aggravated his throat.
She handed him a glass of water.
"Drink this. It will help your throat. You have just woken from a coma. You have been unconscious for 6 days. We will need to keep you here until we think you are good to go. When you are released the ANBU and the hokage will need to speak with you about your return."
Sasuke chugged the water, needing to stop the burning in his throat.
Of coarse he had to get a punishment. He couldn't just waltz back into Konoha and pretend he didn't kill all those people. But to what extremes were his punishments? If he were to be sent to jail for life, that would mean the rest of his life would be pointless. He would do whatever they want if they give him a deal with even a little bit of freedom. He had missed so much.
Three long years with Orochimaru. He had lost three years of his brief teenage life. And also the need to train to kill Itachi had consumed a very large amount of his time. He couldn't do anything that would distract him from his previous main priority but now he could do whatever he want. He was not going to waste the rest of his life rotting alone in a cell. He has been alone too long and now he could finally let people in. And that's what he intended to do.
Not so much that he'd be a open book but perhaps enough so people can bond with him.
His eyes zeroed to the nurses name tag. "Thank you, Monica.". He was pleased to see that the pain had reduced to a dull ache in his whole body. They must have given him a lot of morphine.
Although his eye had bled a lot during the battle he was able to see just fine with it.
There was a bang on the door and the nurse, Monica smiled and rolled her eyes as she opened it to reveal a very excited Naruto.
"TEME!" he announced gleefully.
"Hi dobe." he responded.
The shock was evident on the blondes face. It was obvious he hadn't expected Sasuke to respond. It wasn't much of a far fetched response since he had responded to him with silence when Tsunade woke him from the trance his brother had put on him.
"How ya feeling?" Naruto asked.
He had been putting off his feelings for Sasuke's return for he feared Sasuke's opinion in his reaction. So he hadn't visited much and didn't let anyone see how much he was worried. No one had told him what had happened to Sasuke in the hospital room but that didn't matter for the moment he knew Sasuke would wake up he had came down here. And it would be lying if he had said he wasn't happy that Monica was the nurse taking care of Sasuke for it meant he could chat with her as he waited for his friend to regain consciousness.
Sasuke shrugged his shoulders and laid more back into the hospital bed.
Naruto's brows pulled together as he pondered what to say. He had waited for this for so long yet he had no idea what to say to his raven haired friend. It was awkward! He had to say something, anything..........................
"Nice weather we're having."
Anything but that!
"Hn. I wouldn't know." Sasuke replied for Naruto's sake. Now that he was becoming a better person he had to be more empathetic. It was obvious Naruto was eager to talk to Sasuke but he didn't know what to say.
"You wouldn't kn- OH I get it it's because you've been locked up in here for 4 days and you haven't been outside yet. Haha, good one."
It really wasn't a joke nor was it funny but Naruto was desperate for the tension to lessen.
Aw, to hell with it!
"You know Sasuke, you really missed a lot." Naruto confessed softly, now deciding to speak his mind. "I really hope Itachi was worth it because you made a big sacrifice. Team 7 isn't the same without you. Now that your back the least you can do is help us get back together. Promise me you'll try to restore team 7."
Sasuke was slightly surprised. He knew Naruto would ask this of him but he didn't know he would ask so soon.
"The only person you'd need to convince now is Sakura." Sasuke replied.
This was his way of saying yes. Sasuke never could say things simply.
A wide smile cracked onto Naruto's face. "Great! Now that you'll help me, you should know about your freak of a replacement. He's worse than you ever were, Teme. He calls me dickless and Sakura ugly. Wait till he gives you a nickname! Once during one of our missions he.........."
That was how Sasuke's afternoon went; Naruto filling him in about every little thing he missed like the new lanterns in Ichiraku's. It was pointless and stupid yet Sasuke realized he actually had missed Naruto's mindless chatter.
Although he enjoyed Naruto's stories, well, the interesting ones, he couldn't help but wonder why Sakura hadn't come yet. Did she not care? Was she mad at him?
If she didn't want to see him then why did she bring him back? Perhaps for Naruto's benefit. It's been three years, of coarse she was mad at him for what he put her through. In fact, she probably found someone else by now. He had his chance and now he lost it. It was his fault. All his fault.
He wished she could've reacted to his return like Naruto did. Naruto acted as if Sasuke had only been gone for a few months. If Naruto was mad at him he didn't show it.
"TEME! Are you even listening? I'm getting to the best part!" Naruto whined.
Sasuke rolled his eyes and nodded.
"So I snuck up behind him and I was like "Boo!" and he jumped up 10 feet in the sky! It was hilarious!"
"Actually," a voice started from behind Sasuke,"If my memory serves me right, Sai was trying to scare your hiccups away and you were the one who jumped up 10 feet when he went behind you and said boo."
Naruto blushed and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Sakura-chan! Why can't you ever let me have a moment of glory?" he exclaimed.
Sakura laughed at his embarrassment. "Because I'm honest, unlike you." she turned to Sasuke. "Whatever he told you about himself probably wasn't true."
Sakura was trying to be casual about seeing Sasuke again. She had no idea how he would be like after 3 years so she was eager to see weather or not he was giving the silent treatment or the emo treatment.
"Good to know." he replied.
His answer shocked Sakura. She expected him to say "Hn" of scoff or something among those lines. Sasuke was a man of few words so it surprised her he actually made complete sentence.
Sasuke wanted to laugh at her expression. He really must have been very hostile for everyone to be surprised of his change in attitude.
"It's nice to see you again, Sasuke." she said.
Sasuke was slightly annoyed she didn't add the -kun suffix. The suffix was used to address someone you are emotionally attached to or have known for a long period of time. She use to call him Sasuke-kun and now that she didn't must mean she is mad at him or just doesn't love him anymore.
"I've missed you both." Sasuke said randomly.
They were both flabbergasted. Did Sasuke actually express a feeling?
At the sight of their facial expressions he regretted being so blunt but he couldn't take back what he said. It was true though; he did miss them. He wasn't good with feeling none the less venting them but at least he admitted it.
Naruto smiled. "I knew you had a heart!"
Sasuke rolled his eyes at that remark. Of coarse Naruto would respond to his confession with a joke.
Sakura elbowed Naruto in the gut. "We missed you to Sasuke."
