"Stella!" I blink back to reality.
"What? Sorry." I tell Kennedy and she sighs.
"You have a phone, text him."
"I wasn't thinking about Jaden." I lie and Kennedy half smiles.
"I know that look Stella."
I blush when I remember Jaden and Kenedy dated. But they're friends now so I guess it's all good.
"I don't wanna be that clingy girlfriend that blows up their boyfriend's phone, you know?" I ask.
"I get you... So, are you guys doing anything for tomorrow?" Kennedy asks.
"No. I guess we're not one of those couples."
"Mmm. I see." She nods and smiles like she's hiding something.
"You know something."
"Whaaat?" Kennedy asks and we both laugh.
"Tell me!" I beg.
"I promised Jaden I wouldn't tell you. He's not even sure what he's gonna do or if he's gonna do anything. He told me not to tell you so I wouldn't get your hopes up."
"Hmph." I pout.
"I'm sowwie." I smile.
"It's whatever." I shrug.
"Oh! Did I tell you my mom might let me pierce my nose?" I ask.
"Really? What made her change her mind."
"Me begging her since sixth grade." Kennedy laughs.
"Oh. What side are you gonna get pierced?"
"If she lets me I'm getting my right nostril pierced. Because I wanna even it out when I get my left cartilage pierced."
"I never thought about that."
"I know. A lot of people don't." Then the bell rings and we walk downstairs to the courtyard.
"I still can't believe you're going to the AMA's." Kennedy says.
"I can't either. Do you now how hard it's going to be to play it cool around all those celebrities? Just think about who's gonna be there."
"I'm so jealous of you right now." I smile.
"It's not that big of a deal. I'm just going. It's not like I was nominated or anything." I tell her.
"That's true."
"Hey hey." Peyton walks up to us.
"Hey girl hey." I tell her.
"Hey." Kennedy says.
"Where's Brandon?" I ask Pey.
She point to a group of guys. Your typical senor douche clique.
"I'll go get him. Bye Kennedy." I sigh and hug her.
"Bye Stella." She laughs, tells Pey bye and then walks off.
I walk over to Brandon and his guys.
"Are you ready yet?" I ask him.
Brandon's our ride as long as I have my permit. Even though he's eighteen and I can legally drive with him next to me he doesn't like the idea of people thinking his little sister drives him around.
"In a little bit." He waves me off.
"You needa ride? Cause you know, I can drive you." Brandon's friend, Josh, smiles flirtatiously.
"If I said no the first time what makes you think I'll say yes the second?" The guys laugh at him.
"Damn, alright, I see you." I slightly smile.
"Let's go." Brandon tells me.
Thinking it's less funny than the other guyss he gives Josh a look before we walk off. We get Peyton and continue walking to the car.
"What was that look all about?" I ask Brandon once we're driving.
"I don't like when my friends try to talk to you. I think it's weird as fuck." I laugh.
"You say it like it's happened before."
"It has... a lot." I smile interested.
"Really? Who? Do I know them?" I ask him.
"I don't talk to them anymore, and why do you care?" I shrug.
"I was curious." So the rest of the ride was quiet with the radio as an exception....
I unlock the door to the house and walk into the living room.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Back here!" Auntie Channie calls from what sounds like the family room.
I walk over to see her in beige house shorts, a brown tank top and her hair in a messy bun. She's sitting on the edge of the couch leaning on the arm rest eating grapes and reading Beautiful Creatures.
"Hey, I hope you don't mind. I saw your book lying around and it looked good so I started reading it." I smile.
"It's fine. I already read it."
"Oh ok." I head upstairs to my room to drop my backpack. I sit on my bed and take my phone out.
"Hey I gotta tell you something..." I text Jaden. Within a couple seconds he texts back.
"What?"
"I like someone..."
"Who?"
"I can't tell you..."
"Why not?"
"You know who he is..."
"Stella I'm not playing. Tell me." I don't text him back for like three minutes.
"...Alright."
"Look in the mirror :3" I text him smiling.
"Lmao don't do that ever again."
"Lol, why?"
"I was like wtf imma have to kill a niggah!" I laugh.
"Lmfaoooo! I'm dead XD."
"Lol, how was school?"
"Lamee. Except for last period, I had Kennedy ^.^ Wby? How's the Dame?"
"It's alright. Teo misses you."
"Tell him to hit me up! I haven't heard from that boy in a minute."
"He says it's not the same, that all of us needa chill one day."
"Call me." Like a minute later he does.
"Yoda!" I say laying down on my back.
"And you tell me not to call you ratchet." I laugh.
"Whatcha dooin?"
"I was on youtube listening to Kanye, but then you told me to call you so..." I smile.
"True."
"What about you?"
"Laying down on my bed. Just got home. So I say that we all should chill this weekend. No if ands or buts." Before Jaden can respond I get a text. It was from Scooter.
"I got news............................................................................................................................................ Oath is dropping this month!" My jaw drops.
"Alright imma te-"
"No." I say in disbelief not listening to Jaden.
"Yeah. I really am gonna tell the-"
"Oath's dropping this month." I say to myself smiling.
"That's gre-"
"Ohmygosh, Oath's dropping this month!!!!" I drop my phone and run around the house until I find Peyton in the living room. I yank the remote out of her hand and turn the tv off.
"What are you do-"
"Oath's dropping this month!!!! Scooter just texted me!!" I scream.
"Ohmygosh!!!!!" She screams and we yell and hug.
"What the fuck?" Brandon pops his head out of the kitchen.
"Oath's dropping this month!" We both yell and he smiles.
"Congrats." Then Untie Channie comes.
"What's going on?" She asks.
"Oath's dropping this month." Brandon tells her and she screams and joins in our group hug.
Brandon disappears into the kitchen and comes back out with champagne.
"This calls for a toast."
"Ha ha. Nice try." Untie Channie takes the bottle out of his hand. He just shrugs with the cutest expressions on his face and I laugh.
"So how do you know?" She asks me.
"Well I was talking to Jaden a-" I gasp.
"Jaden!" I run back upstairs to find my phone on the floor.
"My baby!" I pick it up and craddle it.
"I'm so sorry."
"It's straight." I hear Jaden say.
"I was talking to my phone." I laugh.
"Forreal Stella?" He asks me and I can hear the smile in his voice.
"Yep." I pop the p.
"Ahhhh I'm so happy!" I jump on the bed landing on my stomach.
"I know. I can hear you." He chuckles.
So we talk for a couple hours and then he had to go...
