"I cannot walk like you, Reina! Slow down!" Aegon yells as he struggles to keep up with his wife's fast steps. He holds a hand over his stomach. Even though the wound has been healing quickly the past week, he still feels pain, sometimes.

Reina turns around and smiles at him, the baby giggling in her arms. The sight makes Aegon's heart melt and forget about everything.

He grabs her hand, stopping her from walking away from him, again.

Reina had never been this happy in her whole life. It seems like every problem she had, faded away after Aegon woke up, after the attack. She feels strange, never believing that she could smile again after everything that happened within a month.

"His eyes are a deep shade of purple." Aegon observes as he studies the little bundle of joy from the woman's arms.

"He is beautiful. Like you." she smiles.

"You think I am beautiful?" he blushes, looking down at the ground.

"Are you blushing?" Reina laughs and squeezes his hand.

"No." he shakes his head rapidly.

"Yes, Aegon. I do think you are beautiful. " she confesses and kisses his bruised knuckles.

"You are far more beautiful than me. I do believe you are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on." he replies, before pecking her lips.

"More than Lillian?" she teases him, looking into his eyes.

"Lillian? Oh Gods, Reina, that woman could never compete with you!" he exclaims, kissing her lips again.

They sit down on one of the furthest bench from the gardens, looking at the ships that move across the sea.

"Have you ever been on a ship?" he asks, taking his son's little hand in his.

"Plenty of times. When I came here, for example."

"I have not." he replies, "To be honest, I am afraid of the sea."

"Why?" she asks, looking over at his face.

"It is dark and scary."

"But is it beautiful." Reina turns around, looking at the seawater, wind blowing through her bright red hair. Aegon nods, not paying attention to the sea, but always watching his dear wife.

"The most beautiful." he pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear, watching every movement she makes.

She turns to look at him, finding him staring at her with loving eyes.

Aelon plays quietly in her lap, looking around mesmerised by the butterflies that fly around them.

Aegon extends his arms towards him, but Reina stops him. "You will hurt yourself. He is quite heavy."

"I want to hold him. I have not hold him in a while, please." he pleads her.

She lifts the baby and places it safely in his lap, making him giggle. He looks up at his father and smiles, making Aegon laugh.

"I had never thought I would ever be a father." he whispers, "I promise you, I will be a better father than I had. Than your mother had." Aegon talks with the baby, cooing at him.

Reina sniffles upon hearing his words, making him turn his head in her direction. He smiles at her and grabs her arm, pulling her into his chest. Aegon kisses her head and rubs her arm up and down.

"I love you both. You are my whole world. My everything." he confesses and looks up to the sky, thanking the gods that he was forced to marry this sweet girl he holds in his arms.

•••

Helaena had begun her labours. Reina is by her side, holding her hand and wiping away the sweat from her forehead. Aemond paces back and forth, lost in thoughts. It seems that Otto let him be by his wife's side in this painful moments.

"Push, Helaena. Push!" she encourages the Princess. The Targaryen woman clutches her hand in her own. It hurts Reina, but she still allows her sister to do it.

Hours passed and she gave birth to twins. A beautiful girl and a healthy and strong boy. Jaehaerys and Jaehaera, they named them.

"Beautiful names for beautiful babies." Reina smiles softly at the weak woman. She can see the tiredness on her face and the tears that well up in her lilac eyes upon seeing her children.

She hears the door open and Aemond steps in, freezing when he sees his dear wife holding the twins in her arms. His eye is widen and a smile appears on his scarred face.

"I will leave you two alone. Good night." Reina smiles and heads out of the door, heading towards her own chambers.

The woman steps into the room and finds her husband and son sleeping peacefully on the bed, cuddled together under the soft covers. The sight makes her smile.

She quickly changes into her night garments and sits on the edge of the bed, afraid they will wake up if she moves.

Aegon eyes open slowly and frowns. "What are you doing there? Come here." he motions to the bed.

"I did not want to wake you."

He yawns and moves, pulling Aelon with him, making more space for her.

She lays down and looks in his eyes. "Helaena gave birth to twins."

"Really?"

"She must have been in so much pain." she sighs, looking at the ceiling. "I could never bear that pain."

"You could."

"How do you know?" she smiles.

"You are strong. The strongest person I have ever met." he replies, kissing her hand.

"You flatter me." Reina rolls his eyes.

"I am only speaking facts." Aegon yawns again, closing his eyes. "We should make another child." he smirks.

"Oh?" she looks taken aback by his sudden comment.

"Oh yes." he laughs, still keeping his eyes closed.

"Oh no."

Aegon stands up, placing their son in his crib, before looking at Reina.

"Oh yes." he repeats himself and kisses her, getting in between her legs.

•••

The next morning came quick. Alicent knocked on their door and Aegon rapidly pulled some trousers on, covering his naked figure.

He shakes Reina, in order to wake her up. "Dress. Now!" he whispers-yells as he sees her open her eyes.

"What?" she rubs her eyes, confused about his actions.

"Aegon! Are you asleep?" Alicent's voice booms from behind the wooden door. Reina nods and pulls the nightgown over her head.

She runs her hand through her ruffled hair, trying to arrange it a little more.

"Come in, mother!" he yells, "We have been waiting for you." he lies, smiling at his mother.

"Good morrow." Alicent smiles as she looks at her children. "Reina, what happened to your hair?" she gasps, upon seeing the way Reina's hair looks.

"I just washed it." she lies, trying to look convincing.

"Will you come and pray with me?" the Queen asks her.

"Yes, mother." the younger woman replies, nodding her hair.

"I shall wait for you in my chambers."

"Goodbye, mother." Aegon says, waving his hand at her. He waits for her to close the door before starting to laugh.

"You just washed your hair, did you not?" he smirks, laughing harder at the glare she gives him.

"Shut up. It looks like a mess." Reina fos her eyes.

"I think it looks ravishing. You turn me o-" he begins to say, but she covers his mouth with her palm.

He laughs and kisses her hand, "How religious you are, Reina. Getting on your knees in front of the Seven, while, last night, you were on your knees in front of me." he teases her, making her groan and hit his head with a pillow.

Aegon laughs, looking at how angry he made her with that comment, "Am I wrong? You know I am never wrong." he pulls her close, by her nightgown, and kisses her on her lips.

She smiles into the kiss and pulls away, "I must get ready."

"Go on. I am all eyes." he winks and lays on the bed.

•••

The Queen and the Princess are walking, in silence, towards the Sept.

"How are you feeling, my dear?"

"Better. Thank you, Your Grace." Reina nods her head towards her mother-in-law.

They enter the building and kneels down in front of the Seven gods. Reina prays for the health of the family, the happiness of the realm. She prays about her husband and her little son.

In the end, she prays for them to forgive her, even though she knows that what she did is unforgivable. That she will never be the same after burning alive the only family she had left.

She should have rotted along with Larys, in one of the dark and scary cells that exist under the Red Keep. Swallowed by the darkness and with no choice, but to stay there and pay for her sins.

Her mind wanders towards the man. Every night, she thinks about a way to punish him, but she will not do something reckless again. Not after she went through.

So, she prays to all the gods that may hear her. She pleads them to punish Larys Strong for his sins in the most cruel way a man has ever known.

Before she does it.
