Jade was sitting on the roof of her block of flats looking out to the stars that painted the sky after slipping away from her party. She felt slightly guilty by doing that but she was just happy too be out and away from the noise and people. She loved her family of course she did but they could get too much sometimes. She had brought the muggle radio—the birthday present from her dad—up with her and the current song silver springs was playing.
She heard the door open and close lightly as the sound of heels hitting the ground got closer and Fleur sat beside her silently resting her head on Jades shoulder.
The song changed and was now playing 5 years by David Bowie, one of jades favourite songs. "Dance with me?"the birthday girl asked standing up her hand extended for Fleur to take.
Fleurs cold hand held onto Jades warm one as she joined her girlfriend,
I heard telephones, opera house, favorite melodies..I saw boys, toys, electric irons and TV's..My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare I had to cram so many things to store everything in there
The two girls slow danced Fleur had her head on Jades chest as they stepped to the song.

It was peaceful, people downstairs were happy and the couple on the roof was even happier.

There was no going back now. There wasn't any point that was how she felt and she was sick of suppressing it any longer. "I love you Fleur."
