3rd Point Of View
After settling down the rowdy curse users, Uraume decided that it was time to pay Lord Sukuna a visit. She'd just finishing briefing all the curse users on the location and grade of the cursed spirit that their soon-to-be leader would be hunting only to hear a new rumour from the men that apparently Lord Sukuna now has a queen.
And whilst already confidently knowing who this 'queen' was, Uraume wanted to see it for herself- she wanted her king to say it confidently, just as he's been avoiding to do for a very long time. So, Uraume walked in confidently into the throne room. At first, the woman did not see (Y/n), only seeing Sukuna relaxed against his throne. The white haired lady could only assume that she was elsewhere doing other duties.
"My Lord, I have given the curse users more information about the whereabouts of Shimutsui Village and have al-" Uraume began her report with confidence, only to cut herself off when she realises that (Y/n) was indeed here too. Uraume couldn't help but be surprised, seeing (Y/n) so comfortably tucked away in Lord Sukuna's arms. She was clearly asleep, sitting on his lap with her legs draped over the side of the throne and her head tucked into the crook of Sukuna's neck.
Sukuna's didn't at all seem to mind, two of his hands resting on the girl's hips and another on her legs. Sukuna's brow raised at Uraume in questioning when he noticed her staring, having stopped speaking. That was until his eyes followed what she was looking at and couldn't help but let out an amused huff.
"Ignore her. Using (L/n) Yukimo's ring takes a lot of cursed energy from the user." Sukuna mused, "She barely lasted five minutes before she fell asleep."
"So, it is true then? She is officially your queen." Uraume told the man, it started out as a question but ended up as a mere statement because the answer was all too clear. Sukuna chuckled, his thumb tracing slow and careful circles into (Y/n)'s thigh as he laughed.
"I'd say yes, but I'm sure that you saw this coming a very long time ago, Uraume." Sukuna replied, making Uraume nod into response.
"Truthfully, it happened sooner than I expected." Sukuna admitted with a soft sigh, "I was going to ease her into it since the brat's self-esteem is despicable. But now that she's announced her title infront of my entire fleet of curse users, I doubt there's much to ease in anymore." Uraume nodded in agreement to Sukuna's words.
"Now that her title has been solidified, would you like to hold a ceremony?" Uraume asked her king.
"A ceremony?" Sukuna echoed incredulously, his brow raised curiosly.
"Usually, when a queen is appointed, there is a ceremony held where the subjects of the king pledge their loyalty to his new queen and give her offerings to prove themselves." Uraume explained to him, "Offerings could range from gifts of food to gold or expensive fabrics."
"Why have I never heard of this tradition before today?" Sukuna asked Uraume suspiciously.
"Because you've never had a queen before, My Lord." Uraume replied softly with a small smile. Sukuna scoffed with amusement, chuckling huskily.
"You've been preparing for this day for quite a while, haven't you?" The man asked with amusement. Uraume shrugged her shoulders casually.
"I'd say that I've kept it at the back of my mind in case the day would ever come, yes." Uraume admitted.
"And when did you realise that the day would truly come? When did you become confident in the little (L/n)'s worth to me?" Sukuna asked curiously.
"When you allowed her to take residence in the Queen's wing." Uraume told the man, "Now currently known as the east wing." The original names of the wing were different to what they are now. The north wing was once named the king's wing, the east wing names the Queen's wing, the south wing was the the right wing and the west wing the left wing. But Sukuna assumed that he'd never chose a queen and so had things renamed for his convenience.
Sukuna couldn't help but smirk as he watched Uraume, not having realised she was so diligent before today.
"Well done." Sukuna chuckled, "It seems your intuition has done you well this far, Uraume." Uraume bowed her head slightly with respect at the compliment.
"Very well. Set up this offering ceremony for her in three days from now...who knows, it may help her better see her own worth." Sukuna ordered.
"And what would you like to do about this afternoon? There are villagers begining to line up to ask for your favour and assistance." Uraume then told the man, "Would you like me to send them home and reschedule their pleas for another day?" Sukuna hummed in realisation, having forgotten what day it was.
Every Friday villagers from all over Japan travel here to ask for his favour and assistance. Some days he granted it for a price, and other days he laughed in their faces depending on his mood. Before, it was a way to pass time. But now? He could think of a couple other ways to pass time instead.
"That slipped my mind." Sukuna sighed. He then looked down at the sleeping girl in his arms, almost amused by the fact that she hadn't even stirred once. She was completely shattered from using the ring, not being used to expending so much cursed energy outside of her aura.
"Fine, send them in." Sukuna finally decided, looking back up at Uraume before saying,
"They'll have until she wakes up. Once she does, I'm sending them all away."
