The move didn't take too long. He came back a few days later, bringing the truck this time.
Everything so far was moved into the apartment. Really wasn't a lot stuff since he didn't need it. Besides sewing, music materials, and a few books. Guns. Lots of guns. Got a safe for all those along with in inventory just stayed hidden.
His Madre made sure he had cooking utensils, pots and after checking the fridge was decent the pair did go shopping. She made it very clear he would eat. She was lucky he was looking at some recipes lately even if it was chocolate. Got a livable couch. A small TV. Only had a 'bed' in his room. It was a sofa bed. The other room was like storage along with another office. He stays in the living room mostly. Could say they have two rooms to be an office. Three? The bedroom could be count one as well.
A lot of office space.
It felt a bit nice to have some space. Not like home but livable.
Along with word must have been spread around the neighborhood. About new demons that move in. Which is quite normal new target to be robbed every day.
Some idiots have already tried to 'break in' but never can get past the pick pock locking system. Aka magic. Any attempt at stealing didn't last very long. Even try to do a break in or jump the little imp. Which resulted in someone getting a punch, new bullet wound or kick in the stomach.
Also, some screeching that day with many homes window shattered.
Fingers pointed at the thieves that lead to a beat down.
Maria was still helping Moxxie move at the time. So, able to drag them away while getting chocolate to calm the nerves down. All, and all after that thing just went back to normal. Besides those thieves who beaten, then stripped all they got to fix windows around. Wouldn't it be a surprise if a new batch came later?
Moxxie did expect that since Imp City was still well bad like any other city in Pride. Even Wrath. Just was considered very unwelcoming. Unwelcoming yet many do live here in Imp City Either it be Imps, Hellhounds, and Succubus. Haven't meet any other set of hellborns that live around this area that includes sinners too. Besides maybe see them around. Wasn't sure since they weren't too focused on that at the time. Also, for the home of the homeless, burnouts, and losers live here. See a lot of them around here. Along with thieves, killers, drug dealers, and sale people to annoy you. Then got everyday other lives around that mix in. Sounds about normal in Pride but just for Imps. It's cheap to find living space in Imp City though. Cheap or get a rip off.
At the end didn't care.
Moxxie has been here for almost a month now in the city.
He rarely notices it happen to him. Besides the random new attempt break ins. He thinks someone tried to mug him. But knock them out with his bag of groceries. But they did fix that once closer to their home. It always ends in failure or frustration from whoever tries to break in.
Now Moxxie doesn't go everywhere in the Pride ring. He only stays in the area of the spots to do some small shopping at a convenience store. Done some random walks around the area.
It didn't mean there were times he was offered these weird bags of powder or pills. Or someone tried to offer him a 'good time'. Whatever that meant. One time they tried to get him to buy it like a pistol off the street. Didn't because it was terrible condition. But usually when they're out they just ignore everyone. Now when they push it will remind them again why he says no. Just as weird back at Wrath but weird in their Pride Ring way he could say.
He indeed met sinners on the streets when he went past Imp City. Along with different and familiar hellborns. Guess what? They annoy him just like the ones at home. Doesn't know why that should surprise him. Never was the best people person. Or Imp person? Hellborn? Whatever it is.
The point is. Leave them be when their own the street. Shouldn't put effort to mess with him. But apparently just like in Wrath, seem to be a weak target to try attack, glare or some verbal assault. Show who is the superior one.
It was stupid. At the same time frustrating. But ignore the rare times they do go out. Besides that, they have mostly stayed inside their new apartment. Still, I haven't met the ones below but found with that. Just fix that weird smell.
Right now, was walking back to the apartment. Just quiet on the walk.
RING!
RING!
Moxxie pulls out the phone and answered, "Hey Madre."
"Hey Mox. How are you?"
"Just took a small walk and about to head back." Jump over a body that was thrown out the window. Then stop at a spot to cross over on the other side of the road. A hijack car speed passed by him. "How everything over there?"
"Hmm everything goo-Hold on Mox-I SAID USE A FLAMETHROWER NOT A MACHETE-Like I said everything good."
"Good." Not at all phased what he just heard. "Millie, Sallie tries to steal your phone yet?"
"Yes. Your friends better watch it before I set bear traps out. I will not feel guilty."
"Now you're just offending Crucible not able to do his job."
"It's better to deal with a bear trap than him. Dramatic ass."
"Well that what he is."
"Mhmm terrible influence on Bolt."
"Sure. Got any calls?"
"No, calls."
"Oh."
Aka was seeing if Striker reaches out.
"I will give it to him. Don't worry."
"Not worried." Grumble a bit. He not. Just want that damn jerk to have his number if he gets bored. Or to tell him Bombproof okay. Nothing else.
"Sure, you're not."
"Just made it back. I'll talk with you later Madre." Open the door to the apartment. Lock it from behind. Then go up a few slight of stars to get to the next door.
"All right take care Mox!"
Got inside their apartment. Not too long after, she got a call from Millie. It was a nice talk as the pair were catching up a bit. Millie talking about might be getting into wrestling soon. Along with talk about how things are going on the farm. New, old help in and out. Sallie is not excited for school to start but ready for some senior year fun. Pass the time till they had to hang up.
Goes to sit down on the couch. Let their mind just relax a bit. Then was swarmed with what they should. Random thoughts. Things they should look into. Stands back up. Maybe he will be lucky if the portal lands elsewhere.
Easy enough, right?
"Bark!"
"Bark!"
"Bark!"
"Get you pups!" Moxxie yelled at the wolves
Nope they just ignored him and watched just like the others. Got tackled by puppies. A lot of clothes tugging, face being licked and wolf pup pile.
"You happy." Moxxie lift his head off the group to look at the pup on his chest. Got a lick to his face.
Scratch that. Instead of running into sheep, deer dragons, a few birds or that the axe lot. Get to meet the other new residents they never encounter.
Who apparently might have heard the animal gossip? As these wolves are too dang smug to leave their pups around them. Now they're smug after a quick sniff. Then just settled down. Must be their version of dibs on the weird babysitter. Let me nap, eat or gossip with my buddies,
At first, Moxxie was just going to explored a bit further in forest areas of the planet. Did run into a few of the deers. But they didn't seem to mind. No, younger ones by them so were in the clear.
Then he ran into some new creatures.
Those deer set him up!
The wolves were hostile and didn't want to be near him. Don't blame them for that. Protect your pack. Your family. They look like any normal wolves but notice differences like a few unnatural fur colors. Eyes were like a goat pupils. The ones he saw so far how darker fur coat. There were a few lighter color furs. The ears were all slit. Spot one here and there like they have some kind of moon symbol either on their forehead or random parts of their bodies. But around their backs he did notice different or similar symbols. That would either be lighter or darker depending where it is at. Didn't understand what till he witnessed it.
Flying space wolves. Of course.
The wings weren't like traditional ones. Like feathers or bat wings. One way he could describe it was an aurora shaped into wings. Only was able to see it when one swooped down to grab their pup.
The pups look almost like those cotton balls. Expect to see their feet. Puppy like looks. Little tails.
Moxxie was dealing with this for a hour now.
"Bark!"
"Bark!"
"Go to your lazy parent and eat!"
That was the magic work as they scurried off. I didn't relax but fled away. But I did do a small CHECK around to make sure things are clear.
Though he got some time for himself at that point.
Nope!
He was just sitting on a rock to write down what he just saw, updates and the area was clear.
Then something pounced on his back and tried to bite his neck. But the clothes got in the way. Grab whatever, try to attack him. He was holding a cat by the back of the neck. Kind of look like those wild ones just house hold size. The fur coat was white with black markings around the paws, face and ears. A black marking down it back to the tail. Now the tail reminded him like the nebula and watch it actually move around when the tail wags. A pair of big yellow eyes.
"Meow."
"That won't work on me."
"Meow."
"Meow."
"Meow."
"Meow."
Moxxie stared at the cats that began to come out of hiding spaces. Cats of different fur colors and tails similar to the ones he is holding. Unless a different look on what the cat is. Many of them stared at him.
"Seriously?"
"HISSS!"
Moxxie hissed back as he put the cat down. "Go play with someone else you puff- "
"Meow?" Smaller voice.
Oh no.
He looks down to see small fur balls with big Kawaii like eyes. Can see their little paws. Little tails wagging.
Seriously! Why do all the baby animals look like small versions of cotton balls or Chibi heads? Reminds him of something else too. Pokemon? No, well kind of. Digi something? No, that's not it. Neowhat ever?
The kittens nuzzle against his legs and try to climb on him.
"No!"
He got stuck with the kitten for a while. Guess what the adults did nothing either. Just be lazy up in the tree just watching. Or cat naps.
"No, you're not having it." Moxxie arms crossed looking at the kittens hiding under his cloak.
"Meow."
"Your looks won't work on me. I've been around horses, cows, chicken, wolves, birds, sheep and deer."
"Meow."
"Meow."
"Meow."
Should have stayed back at the apartment.
