It had only been a passing thought... but now it was just stuck in my head now. I couldn't think of anything else. And it was messing with my head. I took a deep breath. I had to trust my gut.

"... Kajiwara?" I said.

"Yes?" He replied.

"Was... it you? A- are... you the killer?" I asked. Kajiwara stared at me silently.

"Yes! He's the killer!" Sugai laughed.

"If... you were in the hospital... why didn't you show up at Taguchi's room after the gun was fired?" I continued. Kajiwara remained silent.

"Aren't the rooms soundproof?" Otani asked.

"Yes, the rooms are soundproof! It would be so sad if someone screamed and caused the killer to be caught!" Ressa laughed.

"If the r- rooms are soundproof, th- then there's no way that Kajiwara c- could've heard the gunshot..." Arima replied.

"Right! And this is just really stupid! Didn't we already discuss this at the start of the trial? Kajiwara had Taguchi's target card, soooooooooooo he can't be the culprit!" Sugai laughed.

"... I don't know how that would've worked, unless Ressa deliberately lied to us... but even if he wasn't, it doesn't excuse the holes in this story..." I said.

"Alright, I'll admit it!" Sugai chuckled. "I've committed the ultimate sin!" He said, barely holding in his chuckles. "I... I... LIED!!!" He announced.

"... what?" Yamazaki groaned, glaring at Sugai.

"Yes! I know! It's so sad! I lied to you all! Kajiwara never was the killer! I just told you all that because I knew that Kajiwara would want a turn to finally be the killer!" Sugai laughed. "Truth is, I'm the killer!"

"So fucking annoying..." Yamazaki mumbled.

"Kajiwara cannot be related to this case because the soundproofing in the room would've made it impossible to hear a gunshot! So, there's no way he would've heard it!" Sugai laughed,

"No, he definitely would've heard the gunshot." I replied.

"Oh yeah? What evidence do you have of it huh? NONE!!! Idiot!" Sugai laughed.

What evidence proves that Kajiwara would've heard the gunshot?

1. Blood Trail
2. Metal Cabinet
3. Bottle of Poison
4. Burnt Hole

"Taguchi had a trail of blood leading to outside of the door. And we know that the door was open because the metal cabinet couldn't have been pushed down beforehand. It's to heavy for that." I replied.

"Well duh, we know that Imamura and Taguchi were working together during this time stupid! So she could've just set it up to look like Taguchi was shot outside of the door!" Sugai said.

"No, that cannot be the case." Kajiwara cut in. Sugai glared at him.

"tHaT cAnNoT bE tHe CaSe." Sugai repeated in a mocking tone. Sugai started to whisper from across the room. "I'm trying to prove you're not the killer stupid. What are you doing?"

"I cannot say for certain if Imamura was awake during the night, but I can absolutely say that there's no way that she could've changed anything about the crime scene." Kajiwara replied.

Why couldn't Imamura change the crime scene?

1. She's a bitch
2. She's not very strong
3. She would've changed positions
4. She was paralyzed from the waist down

"... that's... right... because Imamura was paralyzed from the waist down..." I said, staring at Kajiwara, confused. What was going on? Why was he helping us prove that he was the blackened? Was he really innocent?

"Well, then maybe Taguchi changed the crime scene." Sugai snapped back.

"No, that also isn't the case." Kajiwara replied.

"GAH KAJIWARA WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Sugai yelled, glaring at Kajiwara, his hands in fists.

"If Taguchi had messed around with the crime scene, that would be a lot more evident in his blood trail." Kajiwara said. "I doubt that Taguchi cleaned up part of the blood to deceive us. There is no evidence that he cleaned anything up."

"I'm a bit curious... there was blood covering the door, but how did it get there?" Otani asked.

"What if Imamura shot Taguchi from the bed huh!? What if that's what caused it!?" Sugai replied.

"No, that wouldn't make any sense. The blood is covering the front of the door, so it wouldn't make any sense for the blood to be on the other side if that's how he got shot." Yamazaki said.

"And w- wouldn't Taguchi run away from his attacker i- in that scenario? L- like, i- if Kajiwara was in the building, w- wouldn't he be looking for m- medical attention?" Arima asked.

"... and why would he trap himself inside with a killer?" Kawata asked tiredly. Sugai grabbed onto the edge of the podium.

"Oh yeah!? Well that still doesn't mean that Kajiwara is the killer! C- cuz, there's no motive! You can't prove anything without a motive!" Sugai snapped back.

"No... that's not true..." Otani said. "Everyone would've died if no one did anything about the motive..."

"But that's still really stupid~! Remember that Kajiwara had Taguchi on his target card! So it doesn't even matter! Kajiwara couldn't have done it!" Sugai laughed.

"Maybe he was going there to kill Imamura." Yamazaki said.

"... huh..." Sugai replied, angrily glaring at Yamazaki.

"It was either everyone or her. And it's pretty easy to choose the injured to die over everyone else. That's just survival of the fittest." Yamazaki responded. Sugai glared for a moment, before laughing.

"Oh my! You're more stupid than I thought!" Sugai laughed. "Taguchi had the gun, remember? So there's no way that Kajiwara could've even tried to kill him because GUESS WHAT!? Taguchi was the one with the gun, and he couldn't have known that Taguchi would bring it upstairs! Checkmate!" I paused for a moment. No, that wasn't true.

What weapon could Kajiwara have used?

1. Hand Gun
2. Poison
3. Knife
4. Baseball Bat

"There was another weapon at the crime scene." I replied. "A bottle with poison inside." Sugai smiled, chuckling to himself, a hint of insanity in his laugh.

"That's not a weapon silly. You can't stab with a bottle." Sugai laughed.

"But it can very easily be used to poison someone." Kajiwara said. "Also, you can't stab with a gun either."

"Oh silly little Kajiwara! He's trying to make himself seem like the killer!" Sugai laughed. "That still doesn't explain how Kajiwara killed Taguchi with a gun!"

"Actually, it does..." Otani sighed, looking at the ground sadly. "If Taguchi had jumped in front of the door to block the killer from getting in, and if the killer took his gun he could've easily shot him..."

"No because Taguchi wouldn't have done that! Like, was he trying to protect Imamura? Because that's just stupid! Remember, he pushed her off of the hotel! He tried killing her the first time, so why would he defend her?" Sugai laughed.

"Maybe it was a way to repay his debt." Kajiwara said.

"Kajiwara!" Sugai cheered. "Shut up."

"I'm not quite sure what his motives would be for stepping in front of the door... but..." Kajiwara began.

"W- wait... Kajiwara... are you saying that..." Otani began, looking at Kajiwara in fear.

"Yes, I am the blackened. I killed Taguchi Masahiko." Kajiwara said, seeming at ease.

"Woah, he really just came out and said it. That's different." Yamazaki replied.

"..." Sugai stared at him, tears in his eyes and his mouth agape. "W- what..?"

"I'm sorry Sugai, but I'm the killer. I'm the selfish person who killed Taguchi to escape the killing game." Kajiwara said. Sugai remained frozen for a good few seconds, before his fists tightened, his expression filled with anger. "Anyway, if I had to guess, Taguchi defended Imamura because he'd caused the accident on the rooftop."

"No..." Sugai barked.

"... excuse me?" Kajiwara replied, seeming surprised.

"I don't believe you..." Sugai said, glaring at him angrily. Kajiwara stared at him for a moment.

"I'm sorry to say, but it's true. I did a horrible thing because I'm a horrible person." Kajiwara responded. Sugai had tears rolling down his bright red face.

"NO YOU'RE NOT!!! I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!!! YOU'RE LYING TO ME!!!" Sugai screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Sugai, it's going to be okay-" Otani began, trying to calm him down.

"SHUT UP!!! I DON'T NEED YOU TO SAY STUPID THINGS BECAUSE KAJIWARA ISN'T THE BLACKENED!!!" Sugai yelled.

"He's acting hysterical..." Yamazaki said, rolling his eyes.

"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!" Sugai screamed at the top of his lungs. He took deep, fast breaths, as he wiped tears out of his eyes with his big sleeves. And suddenly, he shifted back to having a bright smile on his face, the only evidence of his tantrum being his bright red face and the dry tears. "Aw, you guys are really silly! You know, I really don't like pranks being played on me!" Sugai chuckled to himself.

"S- Sugai... a- are you okay?" Arima stuttered, seeming surprised by the sudden shift. Sugai chuckled.

"Of course I'm okay! Jeez, you guys all seem like you were taking Kajiwara's joke seriously!" Sugai laughed, smiling brightly as he did. "Jeez Kajiwara! I didn't know you could be such a goofy goober!"

"I'm not joking." Kajiwara said.

"Right! Of course you aren't!" Sugai replied, winking at him. "But the thing is, that if Kajiwara was really the killer, he'd be covered in blood! Because if he was really close to Taguchi when he shot the bullet, then he wouldn't have been covered in blood! But look at him! He's a clean freak!" Sugai chuckled.

"No Sugai..." Kawata said. Sugai kept the smile on his face, his eyes twitching as Kawata spoke.

"Excuse me?" Sugai sang.

"When Hirano and I met up with Kajiwara, he wasn't in his party outfit anymore..." Kawata replied. "He could've just changed..." Sugai laughed again.

"Actually, I want to discuss something." Yamazaki butted in. "We're sure that Taguchi was the one who had the gun, so how did he get shot?"

"Y- yeah... that's been on my mind too..." Arima said.

Abdomen Wound
Murder File 1
Kajiwara's Autopsy
Hand Gun

"Maybe Taguchi gave the killer the gun." Otani said.

"What? That doesn't make any sense! Why the fuck would he do that!?" Yamazaki snapped back.

"I don't know... I just want to make light of everything... I'm sorry..." Otani replied.

"Maybe they took the gun from him..." Kawata said, sighing.

"Um, what if th- they fought for it... and ended up pulling the trigger by accident..." Arima said.

"I agree, Kajiwara said that the gun was shot very haphazardly, so it probably means it was most likely an accident." I replied.

"You're believing the killer..." Yamazaki groaned, seeming upset by the thought.

"He's told us the truth so far, why shouldn't we trust him?" I asked.

"Nope! Kajiwara isn't the killer, and it still doesn't make any sense~" Sugai said. "If Kajiwara shot Taguchi, why would he let him go into the room so willingly? You see, that just doesn't make any sense! He'd probably want to make sure that Taguchi didn't have any evidence against him! Letting him go into the room doesn't make any sense!" Sugai laughed.

"No... h- he couldn't have gone in i- if he wanted to... th- the metal cabinet was in the way o- of the door..." Arima said. Sugai laughed again.

"Oh that's such a foolish thing to say!" Sugai laughed. "I'm talking about before that! Taguchi couldn't have pushed the metal cabinet down so quickly stupid! It was way to heavy! Why didn't he enter the room before that?" Sugai chuckled.

"I was incapacitated." Kajiwara replied. Sugai kept smiling, not saying a word. "I'm not good with loud sounds. It's hard for me to focus when something loud interrupts me. For example: a gun shot." Sugai suddenly lost his smile, his face becoming a bright red again as he glared at him.

"NO!!!" Sugai screamed. "NO NO NO NO NO!!!" He yelled, his face turning a bright red again as he grabbed onto his head. "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!! THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LIVE!!! YOU CAN'T BE THE KILLER!!!" Sugai said, trying to reason with everything happening. Tears started to appear in the corners of his eyes.

"Don't be upset Sugai. I'm a horrible person. I lied to everyone here. About more than just this trial. You don't have to be upset about me." Kajiwara said.

"SHUT UP!!!" Sugai screamed at the top of his lungs, making Kajiwara cover his ears. "I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT!!! KAJIWARA WOULD NEVER KILL!!!" Sugai screamed. "IT'S ME, OR IMAMURA, OR TAGUCHI!!! IT'S EVERYONE BUT KAJIWARA!!! EVERYONE BUT KAJIWARA NEEDS TO DIE BECAUSE EVERYONE BUT KAJIWARA KILLED TAGUCHI!!! EVERYONE BUT KAJIWARA IS GOING TO DIE IN AN EXECUTION!!!"

"So, should we vote?" Yamazaki asked.

"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!" Sugai screamed. "THIS ISN'T OVER!!! IT STILL DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!!"

"Alright Sugai, I'll listen to what you have to say." I replied.

"YOU BETTER LISTEN BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU WHY YOU'RE WRONG!!! WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!" Sugai screamed.

Final Showdown

"KAJIWARA ISN'T THE KILLER!!!" Sugai yelled.

"IT'S ME!!!"

"I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!"

"SHUT UP!!!"

"SOMEONE ELSE DID IT!!!"

"HE'D NEVER KILL!!!"

"HE HAD TAGUCHI'S TARGET CARD!!! IF HE KILLED TAGUCHI, THE GAME WOULD'VE ENDED!!! THEN HOW IS IT STILL GOING!?"

"I- I, um, well..." I began.

"I stole Imamura's target card." Kajiwara replied.

"..." Sugai froze in place, tears in his eyes.

"It was Imamura's target card, not mine. I took it after Kawata and Hirano helped me get into the room. It was underneath her pillow." Kajiwara said. Sugai didn't move, only remaining in place. Kajiwara sighed.

"Please, let's just end this." Kajiwara continued, before looking to me.

"... yeah... let's do it..." I replied.

Closing Argument

"Our story begins the night before. Everyone but Kawata, Taguchi, Imamura and our culprit were in the hotel... because..." I paused.

"It was late, and the motive was tricky to deal with. The blackened was in the hospital at the time, with the poison they were planning on using to kill Imamura. But, at this exact same time, our victim had a plan of his own."

"Taguchi had been trapped in the sacrifice dome at this time, with Kawata keeping a watchful eye. But that wasn't enough to keep him trapped in there. Taguchi used a paperclip he probably had on him before he was trapped in there, and used it to unlock his handcuffs, before pushing the table against the wall. He did this to make it so that Kawata couldn't see him crawl underneath the window."

"The window is made specifically so that when you look though it, you can't see the corners of the room, even when you get up close to it. Putting the table underneath it makes it impossible to see anyone below the window. And then, when he made it to the other side of the room bur crawling under the table, he took out a coin and used it to pull off the vent. In the process of doing so, he accidentally opened up the wall panel, which allowed him to find the main weapon in this crime, the gun."

"We're not really sure why Taguchi decided to escape, but he managed to do so without being caught. The killer and the victims paths crossed in front of Imamura's hospital room. Taguchi must've taken the bottle of poison from the killers hand, because it ended up making it into the room with him."

"The killer and Taguchi ended up fighting over the gun. In the middle of the fight for the gun, the killer accidentally pulled the trigger, which ended up shooting Taguchi in the abdomen."

"The killer, in a state of shock, let go of the gun, which allowed Taguchi to take it with him into the room when he stumbled back. The killer was also distracted by the sound of the gunshot, which made them lose focus on the situation at hand."

"The victim, Taguchi, ended up dropping the bottle of poison and gun in the room, and vomiting up blood. Most likely, he tried to cover the wound before pushing down the metal cabinet in front of the door."

"Taguchi, most likely thrown off by the pain, stumbled around the room, going from the door, to the metal cabinet, circling around to Imamura's bed, before ending up in his final death position. I'm not really sure why Taguchi ended up going to Imamura's bed, maybe it was just from stumbling around, but either way, he still ended up... dead..."

"Um... anyways, the killer after coming back to their senses, most likely tried to enter the room, but couldn't because of the metal cabinet. So, to avoid the suspicion, they got changed out of their bloody clothes and went to sleep in the lobby of the hospital. If they'd left, they'd risk being seen, or it would be suspicious to be heading away from the hospital on that night."

"In the morning, Kawata and I headed to the hospital to check up on Imamura, and to look for Taguchi. The killer, knowing what had taken place upstairs, took that chance, and headed up to Imamura's hospital room with us. The three of us shoved open the bloody door, where we found the crime scene. Where, the killer ended up getting their final piece of evidence: a target card with Taguchi's name on it."

"And the only one who could've done this... is Kajiwara Hotaka, the Ultimate Surgeon."

Everything was silent. It was almost hard to believe. Almost... hard to believe. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the sound of clapping started.

"Good job everyone. I knew you could do it." Kajiwara said, still clapping. "I'm sorry that everything turned out this way, and that I didn't tell you before, but I knew you'd all be able to figure out it was me."

"N- no..." Sugai mumbled, an upset look in his eyes. Kajiwara looked to Ressa.

"Go on with the voting." He said. Sugai stood frozen, unable to move.

"Alright everyone! What you gotta do is vote for who you think the killer is! It may be right, it may be right, it may be right, or it may be... rightfully wrong! Now hurry up and vote because I am losing my patience..." Ressa said.

I clicked on Kajiwara's face. After a moment, a wheel of faces appeared on screen, and quickly spun around. After a few seconds, it landed on Kajiwara. Confetti fell from the sky, with a stock children cheering sound effect playing at the same time.

"You're absolutely right! Kajiwara shot that bullet that killed him and then killed him again!" Ressa laughed. "You better be more careful Sugai! Your vote was completely wrong! You even voted for yourself! If anyone should know it isn't you, it's you!"

"N- no..." Sugai stuttered.

"I'm sorry everyone." Kajiwara said.

"Why'd you do it?" Kawata asked. He had bags under his eyes, and no empathy in his eyes.

"Just like you all said. Everyone would've died if I didn't do anything." Kajiwara replied. "And I kind of felt like it was my duty to kill Imamura... because, well..." Kajiwara pulled a notecard out of his pocket, and faced it towards everyone. "... I shouldn't have worded it that way."

"So, you decided to try and kill Imamura because she was your target..." Yamazaki said.

"Yes. I felt even more motivated to do this, since she'd lost function in both of her legs. I do admit that it was in pour taste for me to try and kill because her quality of life had decreased. I'm very sorry for that." Kajiwara replied. "Oh, I should probably mention, I knew that Imamura's target card was under her pillow because I helped with the surgery. I don't know if that's what needed to be said, but I thought that should be cleared up."

"Speaking of things that need to be cleared up, why the fuck would you admit to be the killer? It literally doesn't make any sense." Yamazaki said, glaring at him skeptically. Kajiwara shrugged his shoulders.

"You would've figured it out eventually. And... I'm not entirely sure that I wanted to win that trial." Kajiwara replied. "Of course, I could always be lying to you, so you only have to go off of my word. And by your nature, you definitely won't trust just my word." Yamazaki scoffed, folding his arms and looking away angrily.

"Kajiwara... you said you lied to us... about something... what was that exactly?" Otani asked. Kajiwara paused for a moment.

"It was mostly just stuff about my personal life. Mistakes I made. I'd come up with realistic stories that pinned the harm onto other beings, when it actually resulted in me getting hit with my own stupid mistakes." Kajiwara said. Kajiwara paused for a moment, before shrugging his shoulders. "Well... I guess it doesn't matter now. In a few moments, those lies and secrets are going to disappear..." He shivered, grabbing his shoulders and looking at the floor. "... forever..." he took a deep breath, before looking to Sugai. "I don't want you to miss me Sugai. I caused you nothing but pain. I'm a very bad person. I want you to forget me like I was only a passing memory. I deserve everything that is going to happen to me, so do not feel any pain."

"No..." Sugai began,

"... huh?" Kajiwara replied.

"NO!!!" Sugai screamed, falling down to the ground. "NO NO NO NO NO!!!" He screamed, slamming his hands down on the ground every single time he said that word. His head lifted to Ressa, as he pointed directly at him. "DON'T EXECUTE HIM!!! THAT'S AN ORDER!!! I DEMAND THAT YOU DON'T EXECUTE HIM!!!" Sugai screamed, making Kajiwara cover up his ears from how loud he made his voice. Ressa chuckled.

"Who said you were the boss of me?" Ressa asked, laughing. Sugai's eyes went wide, as his fists lazily fell to the floor. He stared for a moment, before tears raced down his cheeks, as he tried not to cry, his body shuttering over and over again.

"No... this can't be happening..." Sugai whispered, tears falling onto the ground, as he stared at the floor. "I can't do this..." Sugai grabbed onto his head, quietly sobbing. "Please... I need him... I need him... I can't do this alone... I don't want this... this isn't supposed to happen... he was the only one... that cared..." Sugai whispered, almost melting into the floor. Suddenly, a hand landed on Sugai's head. But unlike all the other ones, it was just a light pat.

"It's going be okay Sugai..." Kajiwara said. He'd taken his mask off.

I audibly gasped, covering my mouth quickly. But it seemed like no one had noticed my reaction. There eyes were all directed to the situation in front of them. Around the lower half of Kajiwara's face, were multiple burn and explosion scars. They had varying degrees of damage... but seemed to have been caused a long time ago. Kajiwara smiled.

"I'm sorry I said rude things about myself. I just didn't want you to miss me." Kajiwara quietly laughed. "It's going to be okay Sugai. Sometimes you lose the people you care about, and that's just apart of life." Sugai seemed like he was going to detest what Kajiwara said, but no words exited his mouth. He seemed to distraught and upset to even speak. "I just want you to know that you're going to have to move on. I wasn't always going to be there to help you get through things. And if you can't help yourself on your own, especially if you keep acting foolish, you'll probably end up like me." Kajiwara pointed to his face, chuckling to himself quietly. "But you're strong. I know you've got this handled. Just... try your best. That's all I can ask of you. You've still got a lot to learn, and you'll grow with time. And don't force yourself to do things if you don't want to. You don't always need to do things to stand out. They don't always end well. Just... think about what's right. Because I know when it comes to it... you'll make the right choice." He said, a bright smile on his face. Quickly, he put the mask back onto his face.

"Alright, are you guys done crying?" Ressa said, yawning.

"Just give me a moment." Kajiwara replied. He turned to the group. "I'm truly sorry for what I did today, if you can believe it. You guys can get out of here. I know that you will. Don't let them win." Kajiwara said. Ressa laughed.

"Yeah yeah, whatever!" Ressa chuckled. Kajiwara looked around at the room.

"Oh... I don't get a hug?" Kajiwara asked. He turned to Kawata. "You've been doing it this whole time with everyone else." Kawata avoided eye contact, staring away from him. Kajiwara shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well. That's quite alright." And suddenly from behind, Otani pulled him into a bear hug.

"I'm so sorry this happened..." Otani said, tears in his eyes. Kajiwara laughed.

"It's okay." He chuckled, hugging him back. I paused, looking to Sugai.

"Sugai, hurry up. This is your chance." I said. Sugai remained silent, unable to move.

"Yeah Sugai, why not?" Kajiwara said, holding his arms out to him. Sugai stared blankly, slowly rising up from the floor.

"Nope! We're starting the execution!" Ressa cheered.

"Sugai, hurry!" Arima called out, trying to grab Sugai's attention. But he almost seemed to be lost in a trance.

"Let's give it up for this horrifying execution!"
Ressa laughed. Kajiwara looked at Sugai, holding his arms out to him. "Kajiwara Hotaka, the Ultimate Surgeon..." Sugai almost seemed to snap out of it for a moment, staring him right in the eyes. "Is going to die..." Sugai suddenly began running, yelling out for him. But, just as he had made it over to him, Kajiwara was dragged away.

A giant screen turned on. A small version of Kajiwara appeared, quickly being dragged off by a little version of Ressa. The video transitioned to a dark room, that started to become a little bit brighter with time. The video was being recorded in a surgical room. The counters of the room were completely cluttered, and had cabinets lining the sides of the walls. In the center of the room was an operating table.

Strapped down to the table in the center of the room was Kajiwara, a gas mask connected to a canister on his face, with the label "Nitros Oxide" on the side of it, with his eyes darting around the room. Suddenly, a title card appeared. On it was a skull and crossbones with the words "Zero Hour Incision: Kajiwara Hotaka, the Ultimate Surgeon" in front of it.

The screen returned to Kajiwara, who was still strapped down to the table. Suddenly, Ressa appeared at his side in a surgical outfit. He looked at Kajiwara, taking out a small knife used in operations. Slowly, Ressa lowered the knife in front of his face, before bring it down to his stomach. Suddenly, without warning, he pulled it over and stabbed it into his hand. Kajiwara held back his screams, trying his best to remain silent. Ressa pulled out a second one, and immediately stabbed it into the other hand. Ressa then repeated this process with both of his feet and his abdomen, Kajiwara still trying to hold back his screams of agony, nearly helping out with every stab.

Suddenly, Ressa pulled a button out from behind his back, and pressed it. Across the room on the wall, a bomb began to count down from 60 seconds, and the tank labeled Nitros Oxide opened, sending the gas straight into the mask. Ressa quickly escaped from the room, the door closing behind him. Kajiwara stared at the timer, seeming to get tired. He started laughing from the gas, trying his best to keep himself awake. Quickly, he began trying to free himself from the straps. At first he wriggled around, before finally taking the knife out of one of his hands, holding back his tears, as he laughed uncontrollably. He held the knife, blood gushing from the wound, as his palms shook, the timer rapidly approaching zero. As quickly as he could in this situation, he cut through the restraints managing to get all of them off, quickly sitting up on the operating table. Kajiwara reached out his hand, just as the room exploded into flame.

The room was covered in fire, nearly being left in rubble. And from the flames, Kajiwara dragged himself across the ground, still giggling uncontrollably, starting to cough and lose his breath. Slowly but surely, he pulled himself towards the exit door. He made it to the glass door, the burning smoke almost completely obstructing the view of him. He coughed, his eyes tired as he kept on chuckling from the gas, as he punched on the door, trying to break the glass, his hand still shaking. He quickly gave up, reaching for the door handle, just barely not being able to reach it. Kajiwara was covered in smoldering flames, the smoke almost completely enveloping him as he coughed vigorously, laughing desperately for breath, his hand desperately trying to grab the handle. And just as he managed to reach it, the shutters slammed down, trapping him inside the burning room.

Everyone remained silent, staring at the screen in anguish. And suddenly, breaking through the silence was a horribly loud scream, sobbing out in an anguish I couldn't describe. The pain behind it had chilled me to the bone. It was Sugai, who fell to the ground in a heap and cried out. And suddenly, another voice joined him. One filled with an ominous laughter. I felt a shiver go down my spine, as I stared at the screen. Oh god... oh god oh god...

"Sugai, I'm so sorry-" Otani began, reaching out for Sugai. Quickly, his hand was slapped away. Sugai got up from the ground, racing into the elevator and quickly leaving us all behind without a second thought.

No one dared to speak up. There was nothing to say. Because any one of us... could be next...
