Notes: Dorinda gets jumped by an unknown person and Karen gets blamed for it by Denise.
TRIGGER WARNING: Stabbing, jumping, and blood.
It was a Friday afternoon and Karen was just coming off of work a little bit earlier and so she had enough time to change out of her work uniform into something casual because she was supposed to be going shopping today for the triplets and Drew was at work and Karen didn't really wanna go by herself because somethings were still a little bit overwhelming for her to do.
She was still getting re-integrated into society after basically being held hostage by Big J and Greg and even though she had been working for almost a month now she was still in training mode on her job.
But not only that she had started to hide her GED books and homework every time her family would come over or just if her and her sisters would chill and hang out in her room because she didn't want them knowing just yet she still wanted that to be a surprise considering how things was going for her and her sisters.
Of course, Dorinda was coming back around again after having gone off the mouth on her and Denise well she was getting agitated with Karen for some reason and Karen didn't know what it was but she was hoping that they would all just come together like she thought they was gonna do after the case but that wasn't the case and Karen swore if it wasn't one thing it's another.
So, now here Karen was hiding her work clothes in her own room from her sisters and her homework that she was still working because she knew she had at least ten minutes left to make sure that everything was in it's place before they had came back over.
And she was right because ten minutes later they were there at the door ready to go.
"Heyyy." Dorinda said coming in through the house after Karen had opened it up for her and the other sisters were out busy doing their own thing for what they had to do for their house hold.
"I thought Denise and Jacky was coming too?" Karen asked her knowing that Twinkie was in the studio helping Faith with her music.
"Nahh they had something to do with their jobs and Denise you know she's been acting up lately after the whole Greg thing but I ain't worried about her." Dorinda said as she was still standing at the front door but with the screen door closed since Karen was just getting her purse and jacket.
But while Karen was putting it on Dorinda had noticed how much bigger that Karen's stomach ahd got and Karen was struggling to even put her jacket on.
"Girl come on let me help you." Dorinda said straightening up Karen's jacket.
"Thank you I need to buy some new maternity clothes while I'm at it because the ones that I was wearing with the twins ain't gonna cut it. It's still too tight for me." Karen said and Dorinda had put a hand on her hip nodding her head agreeing with her.
"Mmhm you right about that." Dorinda said making Karen chuckle.
"Come on let's go." Karen said leaving out her front door and locking it because the babies were with Gia.
About 20 minutes later they were at the mall shopping for clothes for Karen to wear and their wasn't much.
"I can barely find anything in here." Karen said only finding about one or two outfits to wear and she already knew that one of the outfits she had on in her hand was gonna be a bit too tight for her but that was the only decent size that they had for women who was carrying triplets.
"I guess I do have to shop online." Karen said looking at the options that they had.
"Well maybe we can just find something for the babies then." Dorinda said as she went ahead and led the way to the baby's store that was inside of the mall and so, now here they were shopping again.
After they were done shopping and getting something to eat they had put the bags in Dorinda's car and when they had put the bags in her they were going to go to one more store just to see what was in it but while they were walking on the side walk another black car behind them was following them.
"Is that car following us?!" Karen asked Dorinda arching her eyebrow while placing a hand on her stomach.
"What car?!" Dorinda had asked at first before turning around to see what her baby sister was talking about but Karen didn't point to it because she had learned at the age of 17 after being with Big J if a car was following y'all don't make it obvious that you see it because it could be a cop or someone and he didn't need any of his girls getting locked up because he wasn't about to try to get them back. All he knew was that if they were to get into trouble then they were on their own and they better not had said anything about working for him.
"Come on, Doe let's just go somewhere else." Karen said and so they started walking again and Karen kept looking back to see if they were following them.
But when they had started to turn around again for the second time that was when someone had jumped out of the car and starting attacking Dorinda from behind grabbing her by her neck making her scream out in pain and dropping her purse on the ground.
Which caused a pregnant Karen to just spring into action trying to get the attacker off of her older sister but then another person came out the car after Karen had finally gotten them off of Dorinda who was severely attacked and the second person attacked Karen knocking her down to the ground making her scream out in pain and then even though Dorinda was weak she was trying to get her lick back gettin the other person up off of Karen and Karen wasn't about to back out without a fight so she just kept on swinging after she had gotten up and started tearin' up the person who had came after Dorinda first and again she just blacked out and grabbed the one who attacked her as well at the same time and started stomping them at first only to switch up on them and started punchin' them right in the face.
Karen fought like she was back with Big J like she ain't had nothing to lose she was fightin' so hard that she didn't hear when something had went through to her stomach on the side of her.
Nor did she hear when Dorinda had fell back on the hard concrete which made Karen snap back into it after she had scared them off watching them run into their cars and then a few other people standing around after hearing the car speed off like they had committed murder.
So, now here Dorinda was beat up on the ground with Karen trying to help her calling for other help as someone had called the ambulance.
About 15 minutes later they were both rushed to the hospital because Karen became hysterical over Dorinda and people was seeing blood ooze out from up underneath Dorinda's body.
Now the family was called into the hospital and Karen was patched up in a hospital bed because she didn't know that she had gotten stabbed but the babies were thankfully okay and Dorinda was awake.
"Girl what happened?!" Denise asked her little sister looking at Dorinda's bruised up body.
"The hell if I know someone had attacked us from behind we don't know who they were since they were wearing masks when they did it but their body shape looked really familiar." Dorinda said as she was laying in her hospital bed with a broken rib as she struggled to sit up.
"Girl sit back down. I can't believe this happened to y'all I bet it had something to do with Gregory?!" Matti asked her and Dorinda didn't know what to tell her mama.
"I know and Karen was the one who had seen the car pull up behind us." Dorinda said.
"You don't think that Karen set you up?!" Denise asked her and Dorinda was at a lost for words.
"Denise WHAT THE FUC-?!" Dorinda said stopping herself because their mama was still in the hospital room.
"Denise I'm bout tired of you!" Jacky told her rolling her eyes at her younger sister.
"Bring Karen in here." Dorinda said seeing that Karen had to move around in a wheel chair for a little bit because of what happened.
"Yess?!" Karen said after rolling herself in Dorinda's room and they just put her in the hospital bed next to hers since Dorinda had requested it.
"Karen did you have anything to do with this?!" Denise asked her and Karen immediately had scrunched up her face. "Now, Denise why would you ask some stupid shit like that?!" Karen yelled at her trying to calm herself down because right now Karen and her triplets were honestly lucky to be alive because the person who had stabbed her had missed an important artery that they was trying to aim for to take her life.
"Now Karen wouldn't set me up because she got stabbed trying to protect me what since does that make she's NOT Faith!" Dorinda said. "No offense." Dorinda told her niece after forgetting that she was in the room. "None taken." Faith said knowing that it was true.
"Denise now why are you being this way towards Karen?!" Matti asked her daughter.
"Karen would never put none of you in harms way." Matti told her.
"That's ridiculous that you would even think that!" Matti said.
"But mama just think about it if Karen never would've came back home then none of this never would've happened and Dorinda wouldn't be laying up in a hospital bed right now and Karen's fineeee." Denise said seething through her teeth putting more emphasis on fine.
"Denise Karen was literally almost stabbed to death she's not fine she's just keeping it together like she normally do. If anything the doctors said she was lucky enough to be alive and that it's a blessing that none of the triplets were hurt in the process of Karen trying to do her best to protect me what the hell is wrong with you?!" Dorinda hollered at her older sister.
And everybody started arguing.
"FINE IF YOU WANT ME TO LEAVE JUST SAY THAT I CAN NEVER DO NUTHIN' RIGHT FOR YOU ANYWAYS I SHOULD'VE JUST DIED A LONG A TIME AGO IF I KNEW Y'ALL WAS GONNA TREAT ME THIS WAY FUCK IT FORGET EVERYONE!" Karen hollered out at them taking her hard headed self out of the bed and ignoring the fact that she's supposed to be in the wheel chair only if it is for a little while.
"MAMA WAIT DON'T LISTEN TO HER!" Faith hollered out at her mama rushing after her and Nikki was already right behind her mama as soon as Denise made her mad.
