As Yami left, he looked back to see if the old man was doing and boy was he cutting those big rocks with ease. Yami had never seen water being used as such a sharp tool before. He wanted to know how the old man did this but since he had a low affinity toward water and the whips were the result of the old man's many years of mastery, Yami decided to let it be.
He looked around and saw that the other clan leaders had also gotten into their own fights against the groups lead by the tattooed shinobis.
'If this keeps going on then the clan leaders will be tired like Kakashi told me. Zabuza and Chojuro were in charge of leading squads of their own into the battle. After a while, they will also get tired. The number of enemies is way more than we initially anticipated.' Just as Yami was thinking this, a stone shinobi slammed beside him on the ground. Yami looked at it and saw a hole in the man's chest.
He then looked to the other side and said "Your efficiency with Chidori has really increased a lot from before."
Kakashi gave a side eye to Yami and said "Are you seriously judging the man who taught you the jutsu?"
"Whatever...I know that I wanted to lessen the load that the clan leaders were going to face but the number of enemies is too much to handle. With just a handful of people on the frontline, we can't hope to kill everyone and still have enough strength to face Jiro, Ji, Moji, and the monster in the end." Yami said as he looked around the vast hidden mist and stone army that kept pouring into the battlefield.
Kakashi looked at Yami and thought 'No matter how smart he is, he still lacks experience in such large-scale battles. But it is good that he isn't chickening out and instead thinking of ways to bypass the issue and lead his side to victory.'
Kakashi patted Yami's shoulder and said "Yami all you need to do is decrease the quality and increase the quantity. Most of the people in their army are genin and chunin. You really need to lower your strength depending on your enemy and not just to save your own strength but to increase the area of effect."
Yami remembered when in the anime Madara used the majestic flame destroyer against such a big army and tens of water jutsu users had to use their water-style jutsus to stop the fire from going any further.
Yami looked at the enemies in front of him and instead of fighting them, he said "I leave them for you Kakashi." and he jumped ahead into the enemy territory.
Seeing Yami jump in deeper, the enemy shinobis created some space so that no one is impacted when he lands. As Yami landed on the ground with a boom, he saw that everyone was looking at him. Yami just waved his hand behind him a couple of times which sent invisible blades toward the enemy.
10-15 shinobis died being cut by those blades. But they weren't as lucky as the ones who Yami had previously killed with the same attack since Yami used less intensity in this attack and this caused some parts of the body to one be cut halfway and stop because of the bone.
Loud screams were instantly heard on the battlefield due to this. The mist and stone shinobis had to watch their comrades die such a horrible and painful death but this also created fear in their hearts about the 10-year-old kid standing in front of them.
Fire Release : Fireball Wave
Yami quickly made some hand signs and released the jutsu from his mouth. The basis of this jutsu was the fireball jutsu taught by his own father but the only different thing was instead of one big ball in the air, this fireball was stretched to cover more area in front of Yami. Yami also added some amount of wind chakra in it to fan the flames more so that it looks and moves like a wave of fire falling on the enemies.
The only downside of this was that the temperature of the flames was lower than Yami's usual fireballs. The mist shinobis weren't ready for such a widespread jutsu to be released toward them so they didn't manage to arrange a lot of mist jutsu users. But still, 3-4 mist shinobis used water jet jutsu while the stone shinobis created walls at different distances to obstruct the wave and slow down its momentum.
Yami knew that this would happen. He didn't expect his wave of fire to kill the enemies but to only distract them. Now that everyone's focus was on the fireball wave, Yami unsheathed his sword and by applying only wind chakra to it, he started moving around the stone walls and the mist created because of the water jets that evaporated after hitting the fire. This mist gave Yami a good amount of cover so that he can cut the enemies one by one without using much strength. By the time the shinobis who were focused on the fire wave realized that their numbers have been increasing, Yami had killed 30-40 of them.
Just then Yami saw a bat circle above him and screech. Yami nodded at it and then continued to kill the ones in front of him. Yami was tempted to devour the corpses in front of him but he knew that if Kakashi activates his Sharingan then he will be able to see what Yami is doing. This wasn't a risk Yami was willing to take.
Listening to the bat screeching, Yami and Kakashi both understood that the monster had made contact with Priest Ji which means that either Yami has to hurry and stop the talks from happening or else he might have to face the monster along with Ji. Something Yami wasn't so sure about winning.
By this time, the clan leaders were also killing everyone in their path. This caused the frontlines to become more chaotic and the bloodline shinobis started to kill the panicked shinobis who were trying to run away. Some even managed to escape to the jungle that was on both sides of the battlefield but Hideki and the other spies were already spread out there to take care of anyone that comes in the wild.
Yami took a few leaps so as to stop Priest ji but very soon he faced another adversary. And it was not just one but 2 of them. Jiro and Moji. They both had their best men behind them ready to pounce on Yami.
Yami didn't know their martial prowess but he was sure enough that they are elite jonin or quasi-Kage rank shinobis.
"This is as far as you can go genjutsu demon." Jiro said as he smirked at Yami.
On the other hand, Moji looked extremely pissed "You shouldn't have messed with the matters of another village kid. Now you must pay with your own life."
It was obvious that Moji and his faction which had an overwhelming advantage at the start were now in shambles thanks to Yami and his antics.
Moji pulled out two short swords from his back after saying that and took a fighting stance while Jiro touched both his fists on the ground and the stones started to collect around his fist creating stone gauntlets on both his fists.
He slammed both his fists together and said "Let's see how strong you are. KILL HIM" Jiro ordered and Moji did as well. The 5-5 people behind both of them leaped toward Yami instantly to cut him apart. 2 of the stone and mist shinobis stopped at a distance to release a water and earth-style jutsu.
Earth Release : Earth flow spears.
Water Release : Great water drill.
Both these jutsus were single-opponent-targeted jutsus and they were extremely powerful in terms of penetration ability and speed.
The clan leaders had also reached close enough to see this happening but they still had enemies in front of them so they couldn't directly intervene.
"Father...the jutsus seem so powerful that even I am not sure I can come out unscathed and fight the rest 6 shinobis. We need to help out Yami in this." Mei shouted as she wiped her mouth after encasing some shinobis in lava.
"I know but we won't be able to reach on time. The only option the kid has is to dodge. Riko can you reach the kid and pull him out?" Yoshiro asked. Riko who was now breaking walls with his fists clicked his tongue and said "I can't. These walls are restricting my movements. They are too organized for me to escape from here. I will need some time."
The stone shinobis were using their jutsus to block Riko's path every few meters and this caused him to become more frustrated.
