"Wait!"
He said and my whole body shivered like anything. My fingers trembled and my knees immediately felt weak.
"Keep going,"
Agastya said slowly and we both kept walking slowly.
And, suddenly.
"I said, Wait!"
My heartbeats were running so madly and I asked in a slow voice.
"Should we run?"
The heat ran up to my cheeks.
I could hear the slow footsteps coming closer to us and suddenly Agastya turned to him.
"Ranaji, Hume Shama kar dijiye hum se kuch bhool ho gayi ho to,"
"Ranaji, I am really sorry if I have done any mistake,"
My eyebrows furrowed in thin lines when I heard the cries which were seeming like absolutely real.
I immediately turned and looked at Agastya sitting close to his leg, holding his legs and crying.
And, my gaze slowly and scaredly lifted up towards his face who was standing still with his hands folded over his chest.
And, suddenly he moved his hand close to his nape and grabbed it tightly to pull him up.
"What did you say? She is your wife?"
He said in an anguished tone and I looked at Agastya who was seeming absolutely scared and shocked.
His head shaking fastly and he was muttering in a slow voice.
"No, no, no, it was all her idea,"
And, this was it.
"What idea?"
He asked and then I could feel his eyes on me.
"And, you, go back to your chamber and wait for me,"
Anger rushed into my body and I immediately lifted my veil up to my head and looked at him.
"Why?"
I questioned and he looked at me with anger and asked in a slow voice.
"What Why?"
I inhaled a deep breath.
"I want to go outside with Devarsa,"
I said and he looked at me with intense and serious eyes.
"What? What did you just say?"
He questioned and looked at Agastya.
"What the hell were you two thinking? And how dare you call my wife yours?"
He said and I could feel the jealousy in the air.
Agastya shook his head and looked frightenedly in his eyes.
"Bhaisa, she bribed me to do everything. She wanted to go out. I said that this is a terrible idea,"
He filled him with the information and I exhaled sharply.
"Really? Agastya. Did not we have a deal?"
I questioned and Rudra looked at me questioning.
"What deal?"
And, suddenly, Agastya got off his hold and took a few steps back from him. Rudra tried to run after him but he was fast enough to go inside.
And, I just stood there blankly not knowing what the hell just happened.
"You, come with me, little troublemaker,"
He said and held my wrist to make me walk with him.
He started walking and I tried to say.
"Ranaji, I want to go outside,"
But, he kept dragging me and I did not know but now I was hating him actually.
He brought me inside the chamber and looked at me.
"What the hell were you trying to do?"
He asked in a strong, angry voice and I looked at him.
"I want to go outside,"
I spat back at him and tried to go outside the chamber.
But, he suddenly pulled me back and closed the door behind me. Hovering over me quickly, his hand cupped my neck dangerously.
"How dare you?"
He asked and I immediately pushed him away with all my force.
"No, HOW DARE YOUU?"
I yelled back at him and he immediately stepped forward and held my wrist twisting it behind me.
"Anger. Down. Now,"
He spoke and I looked sharply into his eyes. My eyes burned with rage and I spoke back with the same intensity.
"Leave. My. Hand. Now,"
He gritted his teeth and suddenly I felt his other hand cupping my cheek dangerously.
"How dare you let him call you your wife?"
He said and his eyes burned with anger. His thumb was close to my lips and I parted my lips to bite hard at his thumb.
"Shhhh,"
He was startled by the pain and immediately took his thumb in his own mouth.
"Leave me,"
I tried to say but he looked sharply into my eyes and tightened his hold on my wrist.
A sharp pain shooted into my body and I just looked into his eyes intensely whole crying with pain.
"Ahhh,"
I inhaled a deep breath.
I could feel my breast crushing against his chest, no distance between us, my vision upwards staring deep into his and his face down looking at mine.
He tightened his grip on my hand even more and I cried a little still saying in a strong tone.
"You are hurting me, Rudra,"
I tried to protest by twisting and shaking my body but his hold was something like a deadly grip.
"How dare you let him call you his wife?"
He asked again and this time his voice even more serious than before.
"What if he called me his wife? I bet he would have made a thousand times better husband than you,"
I said in anger and he just stared deeply into my eyes. The expression on his face suddenly changed and he left my hand.
I immediately brought it in front and caressed it with my other hand. His finger mark was imprinted on my wrist with bright red colour and tears collected in my eyes.
A kind of uneasy silence followed and I lifted my gaze from my wrist to his face. His eyes were differently red and his feet slowly moved farther from me.
Moving past me, he opened the door of the chamber and silently moved out.
And, I immediately regretted what I said.
My throat ran dry and my heartbeats turned faster than ever before. Tears fell down my eyes and I just looked at him leaving me.
This time it was not anger, not madness, not work nothing else. Just nothing but hurt.
I gulped and my eyebrows thinned in a line.
Why?
Why could not we just talk and sort things out?
Why all our conversations were like this?
Why was the love that we feel was inside us not able to build trust, respect, the connection between us?

He left and I just looked at him leaving.
But, inhaling a deep breath. I turned on my steps and moved towards him to follow.
My steps were faster and I held his hand to stop him and stood in front of him.
"I am not a slave that you would drag the whole galleries down to your chamber. I am a woman, not a piece of furniture, I am a Queen, moreover, your wife now, learns to treat me with respect. What we do inside the chamber is one different thing but I will never tolerate this disrespectful behaviour ever again,"
I said in a strong and empowered voice and my eyes were burning with anger and hate towards his actions right now.
"Wife? I do not even know how many people call you their wife,"
He said and hearing it my anger increased even more than my hand lifted up in the air and a strong slap landed right on his cheek.
"How dare you?"
I asked.
And, suddenly he started laughing.
My eyebrows furrowed and the intensity of his laugh increased.
Now, I got really scared and I saw a trail of tears falling off his tears while he was laughing. His eyes had turned red and he just looked at me.
He stopped laughing and said in a slow voice, bending his head low.
"I am sorry, Ranisa,"
His voice sounded different.
And, I did not know suddenly my heart felt a sharp pain.
I just looked blankly at him and he said.
"Now, if you allow, Can I leave the territory of your chambers,"

My lips trembled hearing it and I saw him walking past me.
With each moment, I saw him going away and away.
It felt different, so different from all the times he walked away from me before.
"Rudra,"
I tried to call but my voice did not come out of my mouth.
I saw him leaving and my heart ached like never before. But, my self-respect was telling me just stop following him right there and right now.
He was desperately making distance from me.
"Nandani,"
Suddenly, the voice of Suman caught my attention and I looked at her.
"What happened? Why are you crying? Everything okay?"
She asked and touched my shoulder.
I did not know but my tears were on the verge of falling through my eyes when she asked. I just felt like crying even more. I brought her into a tight hug and started crying.
First he did not let me go out and then we got into a terrible fight.
She started patting my back lightly and asked.
"Okay, but what happened? Did Ranaji hurt you? Did he do something?"
She asked and I just cried even more.
"And, suddenly,"
"Bhabhisa,"
The voice of Ranvijay called my attention and I released the hug to look at him. I immediately washed my tears and plastered a wide smile on my face.
"Are you okay?"
He asked and I nodded.
"Yes,"
He confusingly looked at me and asked.
"Really? You can tell me?"
I smiled when he asked and shook my head.

And, then suddenly I looked at Agastya entering too. He had changed into normal clothes too and looked at us.
"Bhabisa,"
He said and Ranvijay looked back at me.
"Bhabhisa, Bhaisa asked both of us to take you wherever you want to go. Please let us know how long will it take you to get ready?"
He said and I furrowed my eyebrows immediately.
Really?
"Ranaji?"
I asked and they nodded.
"Ji, Bhabhisa, Bhaisa said that you, Ranvijay Bhaisa, I and a group of soldiers will go with you for your safety,"
Agastya said and a confused and nervous smile appeared on my face.
"You should get ready fast because we have to come back before sundown,"
Ranvijay said and I nodded.
"Please wait for me, I will be back,"
I said and I immediately ran inside.
Suman helped me change my clothes and I got ready in my previous attire.
After getting ready, I quickly came outside to see that Agastya and Ranvijay were waiting for me.
"I am ready,"
I said and Ranvijay said.
"Come with us,"
I nodded and started following them. Suman and Reva also joined me and they took me towards the entrance of the Kingdom.
There my sight fell on a group of soldiers carrying swords, a palanquin I looked at Agastya and Ranvijay climbing on their horses and I silently sat into the palanquin.
I did not know what suddenly happened to him.
The helper pulled the palanquin up and I did not know but when we started moving out of the Kingdom, I felt like missing Rudra already.
But I silently sat in the palanquin until we reached the entrance to the main village.
"You can come out now, Ranisa,"
Suman informed and I nodded.
I stepped down out of the palanquin and looked at Agastya and Ranvijay standing on either of my sides.
"Be careful, Bhabhisa, people might get angry seeing us,"
Agastya said and I nodded looking at him.
"Do not worry,"
I said and looked behind the group of soldiers.
"Just wait for us here,"
"But, bhabhisa, these all are for your safety,"
Ranvijay said and I looked at him.
"Devarsa, the people might get angry seeing soldiers in their territory. And, do not worry, nothing will happen,"
I said and he looked unconvinced.
"Also, you two are with me,"
I said and then he nodded lightly.
"Okay,"
I inhaled a sharp breath and we three started walking inside the village.
My sight noticed the people indulged in their work. Some of them sold regular things like vegetables, potteries and many of them indulged in cooking food on the mud stove I could hear the sound of children playing, kids crying and a kind of regular chaos in the lane.
But, as soon as they started noticing us, a kind of unusual tension grew in the air. I looked at many ladies walking inside their homes and locking the door behind them. And, the men working outside did not really care about us.
I gulped and I did not know where to start.
And, then my sight fell on an old lady.
I gulped and put my step forward toward her. She was probably in her late sixties and I looked at her.
"Pranam,"
She lifted her eyes from the earth, she was unnecessarily staring at me. Her eyes sharpened while looking at me and she abruptly lowered her gaze and then looked around.
"Daadisa,"
I called with due respect and lowered myself to sit beside her.
She turned nervous and then scaredly a little.
"We bring no harm to you,"
I sat while sitting beside her on the floor outside her small house.
She gulped and lifted her gaze to me seeing me sitting me beside her on the ground.
My eyes noticed her many times torn and sewn clothes.
"Baisa,"
She called in her old voice and I did not know but my heart ached a little listening to her voice.
"Where do you live?"
I asked trying to get into a conversation.
She blinked nervously.
"Live? My son,"
She said slowly and lowered her gaze, maybe driving down in the faded lost memory.
"Your son? Where is he? Why are you sitting outside?"
I asked and looked at the small bundle of clothes. Her clothes were untidy and stinking.
And, suddenly tears started falling from her eyes.
"Where is my son?"
She asked looking at me and something hit me.
She was in a problem. She did not remember anything.
I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Have you eaten anything?"
I asked noticing her thin and wrinkled skin.
She abruptly shook her head.
"Food... The crops got destroyed due to Strom,"
She said and I looked at Ranvijay and Agastya standing behind me.
"Storm?"
Ranvijay sat down beside me.
"Bhabhisa, six months ago a drastic storm hit the village,"
He filled me with the information and I looked back at the lady.
"You should come with us. We will take care of you,"
I tried to say and she immediately shook her head.
"No, no, no, my son has asked me to wait for him,"
She said and looked at me with doubtful eyes.
I did not know what to say. A part of me was not feeling convinced about her son.
"We will let you know whenever he will come back. By the way, where did he go?"
I tried to ask and she said.
"He went, the dacoits took him with them. He borrowed some money and failed to repay. He took him and I am waiting since then,"
She said bursting into crying and I held her hands feeling like crying too.
"Please calm down, do not worry we will take care of you there,"
I tried to say and suddenly she pushed me away with all her away and I almost fell losing my balance.
"Bhabhisa,"
Ranvijay tried to catch me but I immediately stopped him before touching me.
"I am okay,"
Rudra was the only man that had ever touched and even if it was a minor touch. Talking was one thing but I did like anyone touching me unless it was the most necessary.
I straightened and looked at the old woman again.
I gulped and removed my golden bangles and took her hand.
"Just keep them. And, our people will come in two days. If your son does not come back in two days. You will be coming into the kingdom,"
I said and looked at her eyes sharply looking at the golden bangles.
After meeting her, I went forward to meet many more ladies. I even encountered a pregnant woman and I did not know but looking at her bump, I remembered that my husband was in a controlling period and most angry with me right now.
I did not know but I tried to help whoever I met and end of the visit I just left with my toerings and headpiece and nosering.
I donated all my jewellery to the people who needed and honestly the situation of the village kind of shook me.
There was a storm that came into the village a few months ago. The prices of the commodities were exceptionally high due to the increased demand and there was even possession of dacoits in the village.
I did not know but the King and everyone in the Kingdom had so many things to do.
The sun went down past the evening and I put my foot back into the kingdom when it turned all dark.
"Thank you so much, Devarsa,"
I said looking at both of my brothers-in-law.
"Pleasure is all ours, Bhabhisa. With the visit, we also got to know about the situation of the people. It will help me frame the new policies for the kingdom,"
Ranvijay said.
"And, it will help me maintain the finances too,"
Agastya added.
"But, you have a really difficult task ahead,"
Agastya finished and I smiled weakly.
"Has Bhaisa got angry?"
Ranvijay asked looking at us and Agastya nodded.
"Not angry, I saw him hurt a little. I jokingly called Bhabhisa my wife and he went insanely mad,"
Agastya answered and Ranvijay inhaled.
"What do you expect from a man who went against all odds and fought on his own a whole Kingdom just for her? And, how dare you call her your wife? She is your Bhabhisa,"
Ranvijay said and grabbed his collar with anger.
"It's not his mistake, Devarsa,"
I tried to say and he looked at me.
"By the way, Bhabhisa, If you do not find him anywhere then the light of the moon and the embrace of stars might help you,"
He said and I furrowed my eyebrows.
