NaRi was startled out of her slumber thanks to her blaring alarm, the day's planned activities instantly filling her mind.
their court date— the day the group's fate would be determined.
as she got ready, the boys' uneasy feelings couldn't help but swarm around the dorm, filling the air with tension that could be cut with a knife.
the seven sat in the living room an hour later, their eyes not moving from the floor as their ears indulged in the sound of her heels clicking around the hallways, finishing getting ready.
they knew how anxious she felt— the girl hadn't properly taken a rest this entire month, feigning guilt when she was in front of them.
they still didn't know they'd move if she moved.
she'd kept it to herself for their sake— feeling as if they'd never forgive her if the case fell through and they had to suffer with the same agency until their contracts expired.
their minds were taken off whatever daze they'd been drawn into as her usual vanilla scent entered the room, all lifting their heads to look at the girl. their eyes trailed over her overly formal wear, softly smiling when she locked eyes with either one of the seven.
"ready?" she asked, voice small.
at the same time, their manager honked the horn, ready to take the eight to the city.
the seven occupied the row directly behind their girl, eyes shooting glares at the people sat opposite from her.
the undeniably awful treatment they'd all received suddenly left their minds, all angry at the fact that someone would have the heart to treat their girl so terribly she'd feel the need to take it to court.
hours passed, the judge looking up from the documents in front of her after a few minutes of revising the evidence.
no jury had been requested for this trial— seeing as it'd been labeled as something strictly professional, it dealing with the contracts of eight artists and their subsidiary label.
NaRi's posture was as perfect as ever as her eyes glued themselves to the judge, the boys' heads in their hands as they said silent prayers for the ruling to work in her favour.
"after thoroughly reviewing the evidence provided,"
❝ Hello. This is BigHit Music.
Today, March 22, 2022, we, along with
ENHYPEN member NARI, have concluded the
mandated court cases dealing with NARI's
lawsuit against Be:Lift Lab.
As the verdict has come to it's official end,
we've been granted permission to publically
discuss matters dealing with this situation with
the supporters who've diligently waited for an
update.
Firstly, we, along with NARI, would like to
take the time and thank everyone who has stuck
by her side during this trial.
Following nearly a month of back and forth
discussions dealing with the termination of
NARI's contract with Be:Lift, allow us to make
the official announcement, publically sharing the
results with a positive attitude.
NARI first asked for the termination following
months of mistreatment and unprofessionalism
from staff members of the company. NARI was
fully able to provide valid pieces of evidence to
support her claims, select staff members able to
testify to her assertion.
After a seven-hour court session, involving
Chairman Park, former Chairman Bang, NARI,
accompanied by the remaining ENHYPEN members
versus select Be:Lift Lab staff members, the judge
was able to come to a just verdict.
As of today, March 22, 2022, at relatively
3:15 PM, all eight members of ENHYPEN are
officially signed as artists of BigHit Music, subsidiary
of HYBE Labels.
We ask that you support the members in this
time of slight adjustments, and thank you
for the unconditional love you show the eight
through every moment of their being ENHYPEN.
We as BigHit Music promise to properly
care for our eight members, YANG JUNGWON,
LEE HEESEUNG, JAY, JAKE, PARK SUNGHOON,
KIM SUNOO, KIM NARI, and NI-KI. Please look
forward to their future projects.
Thank you. ❞
