Team RWBY were in Goodwitch's class watching a fight between Pyrrha and Team CRDL and she was winning even by 1v4.
Then Pyrrha slammed Cardin down on the ground before she backflips kicking Cardin in the head as he went flying back with a thud, he shakily and quickly got up a bit but Glynda comes in.
Glynda: And that's the match.
Cardin: Ugh... Lucky shot.
Cardin then falls on the floor defeated with the rest of his team.
Glynda: Well done Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.
Pyrrha: Thank you Professor.
Glynda: Alright now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match, any volunteers?
Glynda looks at the audience of students before she looks at Blake.
Glynda: Miss Belladonna?
Blake immediately closed her book as she look up to see Glynda staring at her.
Glynda: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you-
???: I'll do it.
Glynda: Mercury is it? Very well. Let's find you an opponent (looks through her tablet)
Mercury: Actually, I wanna fight,..... her
He points at Pyrrha,
Pyrrha: Me?
Glynda: I'm afraid Miss Nikos has just finished the match, I'd recommend you choose another partner.
Pyrrha: No it's—
Mercury: Oh, okay then, what about him?
Glynda looks over to where he's pointing at to see Y/n who was reading a book as he closed it and looks at Mercury.
Glynda: Y/n do you wish to fight him?
Y/n looks at her then to Mercury.
Y/n: Sure...
Glynda: Very well..
Y/n immediately jump down as Mercury jump down as well and both of them went to on their side of the small arena as they stare at each other.
None of them makes a move as the crowd were so eager to watch this fight, Ruby was getting excited due to how calm Y/n but also worried.
It's been days now since the incident with the Paladin and Roman Torchwick.
That time where Y/n collapses, the girls were very worried but it turns out he was just tired but still.
Ruby just sigh as the green hair girl beside her just watched.
Soon, Mercury took the first action as he lunged at Y/n for a kick while the latter just stood there as he parries it before sending his own kick.
Mercury smirks, delivered fury of kicks to Y/n as he parries them all with his hands while not moving from his spot but he couldn't help but hear some creaking sound but decided not to dwell on it.
Mercury was surprised to see all his kicks didn't even hit him as he back away and looks at Y/n who was holding his collar as usual.
Ruby was surprised as the green hair girl beside her was shocked to see her friend's kick to have been all parried by Y/n.
Mercury: You're good but can you parry this!
Mercury went for another kick but this time, a bullet went shooting out of his heel towards Y/n but he easily dodge it by leaning his body to the side.
Suddenly, he kicks Mercury in the gut which sent him flying away before regaining his balance.
Mercury looks at Y/n who haven't even move a slight inch from his spot, then he sees Y/n emitting a dark blue aura as it surrounded him and then his legs were covered by shadows as everyone was shocked.
They could feel the immense pressure of Y/n's aura as Mercury was sweating a bit but he smirks again.
Then Mercury aim another kick at Y/n who blocked it with his own kick as both of them delivered fast kicks to each other as everyone was at awe.
Ruby: Hey your friend's doing pretty good.
She said to Emerald.
Emerald just smiled but rolled her eyes when Ruby turn back to the fight, but although she was surprised by Mercury's attack getting block.
Then Y/n had to use his arms to blocked an ax kick from Mercury but upon contact, the kick felt really hard.
Y/n: (Metal?)
Then he grab Mercury's left leg as he pulled him and slammed him on the ground then he threw him in the air as finally Y/n had move from his spot.
He jumps into the air, going after Mercury delivering an ax kick with his shadow enforce right leg as Mercury went crashing down on the ground.
Y/n landed a few meters from him as he lunged at him again and Mercury had to dodge immediately as he shoots at him but he ducked and delivered another shadow enforce kick which sent Mercury tumbling on the ground before getting up on one knee.
Y/n rushed at him in a blur aiming an spinning kick in the head but Mercury caught it and swings Y/n around before throwing him but Y/n regains balance as he backflips in mid air and landed softly on the floor.
He looks at Mercury who lunges at him for a jump kick as Y/n rosses his arms to block but suddenly Mercury just disappeared making Y/n a bit shock.
Y/n: (What the?)
Then his instincts came in as he ducks a side kick from Mercury behind him as he was aiming for his head.
Mercury was shock to see that he dodge as Y/n did a roundhouse kick to his jaw before he kicks him in the gut sending him in the air once more.
Y/n's dark blue aura turns red as his left eye sclera turns black and pupil goes red as everyone saw this and they were shock especially his team.
Both of Y/n's hands were envelope by black particles into shadow claws before he disappears in a blur breaking the ground where he stood making everyone shock.
Glynda: (This is!? He's much more faster this time!)
Mercury crosses his arms as a shield when Y/n appeared in front shocking the latter as he gazes into his eye specifically his left eye and this sent chills down on his spine.
Y/n spins around slashing Mercury with his shadow claw before he turns into 180 degree and kicks Mercury right in the face sending him barreling towards the ground but Y/n appeared there kicking him again before he could make contact on the floor as Mercury went tumbling on the ground like a ragdoll before stopping himself as he skids backwards.
Y/n disappears in a blur once more and reappears on Mercury's left side about to claw attack him but....
Mercury: I forfeit!!!
Y/n had to immediately turn the attack to the side which BROKE the ground which made a large crater as the the whole place shook a bit, making everyone shocked from his sheer power.
Y/n: Is this a joke to you or something?
He glares at him.
Mercury: H-Huh?
Y/n: What game are you playing at? First you were messing around with your attacks then you suddenly go serious and then you forfeit? What is your reason for doing this?
Y/n looks at Mercury intently as the latter had a shock look.
Mercury: N-Nothing.. I mean what's the point? You're the Reaper, we're obviously leagues apart...
Mercury was sweating as he look at the crater.
Everyone hearing the name Reaper, the one who travels around on Remnant killing Grimms as many started murmuring around, shocked in the crowds.
Glynda: In that case, Y/n is the victor of the Match...
She looks at the crater before to Y/n.
Glynda: (Such power and speed you have.....)
She then turns to look at Mercury,
Glynda: Next time, you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent.
Mercury: I'll be sure to do that..
Mercury looks at Y/n a bit nervous before walking away.
Then the buzzer ring signaling the end of the class.
Glynda: That is all for today. And remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on Monday. I will not accept any excuses.
Y/n just sigh as his left eye was back to normal before walking out with his Team.
Ruby: That was an awesome fight Y/n!! You were like bam! Pow! and he was like whaaat!!?
Yang: Yeah! We've been together for awhile now but I didn't know that you have that kind of strength!!
Y/n: I hardly give it my all.
Y/n was playing with an Ice Dust crystal in hand with a tired looking Blake walking beside him.
Yang: You don't say but what was with the talk with that Mercury dude?
Y/n: He seems suspicious, I have a bad feeling about him.
Ruby: Really? But he looks okay to me, I mean he's teammates with Emerald too!
Y/n: Which I should warn you about it. Whoever those guys are. You should be wary about them, even though they are nice to you, they're not what they claim to be.
Ruby: O-Oh okay, I'll keep that in mind.
She nodded taking his warning in. The girls know when Y/n is serious on something, they need to take it seriously too, it brings some chills to them whenever he's serious.
???: Hey Y/n, you doing okay?
Y/n turns to look to see Sun walking to him.
Y/n: I'm fine thanks for asking.
Sun: Are you sure, you don't look so good seeing those bags under your eyes..
Blake's bows perked up as she looks over to see Sun was right about the bags under his eyes.
Y/n: Really? I haven't noticed, but I'll be fine so don't worry....
Y/n walks away but suddenly starts coughing as he covers his mouth from it and look to see before he wipes it away on his coat, unbeknownst to him, his Team saw his strange behavior they were confused and most of all grew worried.

Blake: You what!?
Ruby: We want you to go to the dance.
Blake: That's ridiculous..
Yang: Blake we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with your head..
Weiss: You can't sleep, you hardly eat and to be honest, your grades have been suffering.
Blake: You think I care about grades!? People's lives are at stake!
Yang: We know, we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to.
Ruby: Thanks to you, Y/n and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere out of Southeast Vale.
Weiss: And the Schnee Company record every singled out Vale as the primary target for dust robberies over the last few months.
Yang: Don't forget about their missing Military tech too.
Blake: But there's still unanswered questions..
Ruby: Blake you won't be able to find anything if you can't even keep your eyes open..
Yang: All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day.
Weiss: It will be fun, Yang and I will make sure of it..
Yang: Yeah! We're planning the whole event.
Blake: Excuse me?
Weiss: Team CFVY's away, mission lasted longer than expected.
Yang: So Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now we can make sure you have the perfect night.
Weiss: And once it's all over we'll return to our search, rested and ready.
Ruby: So what do you think?
Blake closes her eyes before speaking.
Blake: I think this is a colossal waste of time. I'll be in the library.
Blake walks to the door but before she could leave.
Blake: And I'm not only worried about the White Fang, Im also worried about Y/n, he's been acting strange lately..
Then she left three as theyp had their eyes widen by what she said as they looked at each other and sighed as they were now also worried about their other teammate.
Yang: *sigh* Great, now we have to worry about Y/n.
Weiss: Blake can't keep going like this and none of us even knows what Y/n has been up to lately..
Ruby: Yeah, Y/n always says that he was either training Jaune or by himself when he comes back looking tired.
Then someone knocks on the door as Weiss gets up to answer it, but when she opened it, it was Jaune strumming a guitar.
Jaune: Weiss~~~~
Weiss slams the door on Jaune's face.
Jaune: Oh come on, open the door! I promise not to sing!
Weiss opens the door.
Jaune: I lied!🎶 Weiss Schnee, will you accompany me, to the dance on.... Sunday, just the two of us?🎶
Weiss: Are you done?
Jaune: ....Yes?
Weiss: No.
Weiss slams the door and turns to face the Team.
Weiss: What?
Yang: And that is why they call you the Ice Queen.
Ruby: Date or no date, none of this will matter if we can't get Blake to go.
Weiss. Yeah and for Y/n we don't even know if he will even go since we haven't ask him yet.
Yang: You're right about that, he also look terrible with the bags under his eyes, those nightmares are really getting it to him.
Ruby: Yeah, I wonder what his nightmares are? Hope he will get better soon,

Later that night, Pyrrha and Jaune are sparring on the roof with swords, then Pyrrha sweep Jaune's legs as he fell as Pyrrha laugh and help him up.
Pyrrha: Well done! Your swordplay's improved immensely.
Jaune: I couldn't have done it without you and Y/n!
Pyrrha: So are you ready to move on to Aura?
Jaune: I'm actually thinking maybe we just skip Aura for tonight? Might go on a jog or something.
Pyrrha: Come on, I know you get frustrated, but you must keep trying. I'm sure you'll discover your Semblance any day now.
Jaune: That's not it, it's just......... It's dumb.
Pyrrha: What is it? Jaune, you know you can tell me.
Jaune: Its..... Weiss.
Pyrrha: Oh, what about her?
Jaune: I tried to asked her to the dance, but she kinda shot me down... hehe... Big surprised right? And besides I think I know who she's going with....
Pyrrha: Well, I believe the saying goes, there's plenty of fish in the sea.
Jaune: That's easy for you to say, you probably got guys clammering over each other just to ask you out..
Pyrrha: Hehe you'd be surprise.
Jaune: Oh please if you don't get a date to the dance, I'll wear a dress...
Jaune soon leaves leaving Pyrrha looking a bit sad on the roof.
She looks to the distance as there in one of the buildings roof was a certain boy standing and looking straight at the night sky.
His coat dancing through the wind as the Moon shines down upon him.

In a room, there were three people, there was Emerald, Mercury and a another girl with black hair and Amber eyes named Cinder.
Emerald: And finally, Pyrrha Nikos.
Cinder: Ah, the invincible girl.
Mercury: She's smart, but I wouldn't say invincible.
Cinder: Do tell.
Emerald: Her Semblance is Polarity. But you'd never know just by watching but although we managed to confirm it.
Mercury: Yeah, we saw what she did with Cardin's mace, she was able to move them around however she wanted. But she only made slight adjustments.
Emerald: Just enough to make it look like she's untouchable. She doesn't broadcast her power, so it puts her opponent at a disadvantage.
Cinder: Hmmm.... People assume that she's fated for victory when she's really taking fate into her own hands. Interesting, add her to the list.
Mercury: T-There is another one who also interested me in today's match.
Mercury said nervously and gulps loudly as this caught Cinder's attention.
Mercury: His name is Y/n, I believe he's the famed Reaper due to the description Torchwick gave us fitting him, He's really skilled in hand to hand combat but he had Weapons as well but didn't use them throughout the match but... uh.... his strength is kinda... insane..
He chuckles nervously at the end.
Cinder: Interesting.
Emerald: Yeah, I even tried helping Mercury out but he saw through it!
Mercury: And not only that, something about that guy is weird and.., creepy....
Emerald: Creepy? Creepy how?
Mercury: Didn't you see what he did, and his left eye was different, it felt like he was looking at me like in my soul! Waiting to do the kill! I have to admit, it was strange and frightening to me...
Cinder: Now that's very interesting. Add him to the list as well, if he's really the famed Reaper then all the more reason we should be wary of him.
Mercury: Really? Even you?
Cinder: Of course, it's because an unknown enemy is even more dangerous than you think it is.
Mercury: Hmm... You should be able to take that Redhead no problem.
Cinder: It's not overpowering the enemy. It's about taking away what power they have. And we will in time.
Mercury: I hate waiting.
Cinder: Don't worry Mercury, We have a fun weekend ahead of us, and while that happens, I'll try to observe Y/n, that way I could learn more about him~
Emerald: Why do you sound like you're obsessed with him? You barely know and saw him in person?
Cinder: That may be true, but hearing his skills is quite intriguing to me, his Semblance is strong too and if you had good taste you would be obsessed with him too..
Emerald: I know my taste okay!
Cinder: Hehehe.... Don't worry, I'll be just observing him or better try to be friends with him~ Now head to your rooms, we'll discuss this another time.
They just nodded and left the room. Cinder goes through her Scroll as she checks on a picture of Y/n fighting Mercury that Emerald caught.
Cinder: (Oh Y/n~, you intrigued me, I wonder what else can you do with that kind of power?~)

Finally an update for this book!
I'm almost finished with the next chapter, Volume 2 would have already been done if I wasn't so busy with the goddamn schoolworks of mine!
