From inside the taxi, Jennie was looking out at the apartment across the street. Her heart was beating fast, she knew she wasn't supposed to be here. She took a deep breath and asked the driver to wait for her before stepping out of the taxi.
Jennie was wondering if Jisoo was in her apartment that night. Nervously, she played with the pedant on her chest. She waited until someone came and opened the door. Jennie slipped inside and went upstairs to where Jisoo's room was.
The closer she got, the faster her heart was beating. She could hear it throbbing. Like a drum playing some ruckus music, it was piercing and she found it harder to breath. Jennie stopped in front of Jisoo's door, unsure if Jisoo was there or not.
She finally brought herself to knock on the door.
She waited for a few seconds to what it felt like years. There was one thing she was scared of the most but she wouldn't let herself back down now.
She knocked on the door again, louder this time.
What would I do if she isn't here tonight? I can't just come to her house and ask her father to hand his daughter to me so I can talk to her in the middle of the night...
Before she knocked again, she heard a sound from inside the room. Then the door was opened and Jisoo was standing in front of her. Her hair and face were damp. Looked like she was just taking a late night shower.
Jennie wondered where she had been at this hour.
Was she with Yeri?
Jealousy and anxiety were raging inside her but she ignored these feelings. Her will was stronger.
I won't back down...
Jisoo looked stunned. Hands still on the door, she stared at Jennie, unable to say anything.
Like a thief, Jennie stormed inside Jisoo's room, she welcomed herself without saying anything. She waited until Jisoo finally closed the door.
It was warm and dimmed inside.
Jennie pointed at the clock hanging on the wall,
"It's still my birthday."
She cleared her throat.
Jisoo didn't say anything, still trying to figure out what was going on.
"I'm here to get something," Jennie said it vocally, her voice was trembling but she continued, "I always get what I want on my birthday."
"Happy birthday..." Jisoo finally managed to say, her voice was low and husky, weighted with guilt.
They were awkwardly standing far away from each other, saying nothing, doing nothing.
Jennie decided to close the distance between them, slowly she made her way towards Jisoo. Jisoo was barefaced, grains of water climbing down her hair and Jennie could smell the whiff of her lotion.
She stared at the girl in front of her, and in just a moment, Jennie was about to find out whether her fear was true or not.
Her breath was heavy and her gestures was unsure, but she didn't back down. Jennie let her coat fell down to the floor. She moved closer until only inches separated her from the one she wanted.
Still boring into Jisoo's eyes, she tried to act strong but she knew that her face must be pale and she probably looked like a fumbling kid right now. She got herself closer to Jisoo, then closer, and closer, until she heard the other girl's breath hitched.
Seeing Jisoo closely again after weeks, Jennie was overwhelmed with all sort of emotions. There was no one that could make her feel the way Jisoo made her feel.
Now that their faces only inches apart, Jennie quietly put her hand on Jisoo's damp face. Her other hand was grasping the hem of Jisoo's pajamas as if to find strength.
She took the opportunity while Jisoo was still processing the situation she was in, lightly Jennie brushed her nose on Jisoo's; heavily breathing out some warm air... then breathing in the damp air of Jisoo's skin. She could tell that Jisoo was holding her breath. Jennie then tilted her head just a little and closed her eyes until her lips found Jisoo's.
She kissed the girl.
On the touch of their lips, Jisoo let out a deep sigh, her breath was caught.
Jennie moved her lips gently on Jisoo's lips, she whispered in between kisses, "Breathe..."
Jisoo took some air from her parted lips, feeling Jennie's careful movement on her. Their lips were melting on the tender kiss, Jennie brought their body even closer, pressing her chest and core, she was arching towards Jisoo. Her body was savoring the warmth it gave while her lips mildly danced on top of Jisoo's lips.
She felt like exploding and oxygen wasn't a necessity. It was what she had been wanting all this time. So she pressed her body to Jisoo even harder, letting go of Jisoo's hem and snaked her hand to Jisoo's hips to keep the girl steady.
Jennie deepened her kiss, she crushed her lips harder on Jisoo, but keeping the pace painfully slow. When Jennie moved her lips, Jisoo's breath was heavy and staggered, but Jisoo hadn't returned Jennie's kiss yet.
Fear came sneaking inside her mind, Jennie released some of the pressure.
Jisoo didn't kiss her back.
She was about to stop kissing Jisoo and let her go, but then suddenly she felt Jisoo's lips were moving, desperately trying to get back to the tension Jennie had given her before.
Jennie quickly responded to that, her tongue tried to find a way inside Jisoo's mouth and when it did, Jisoo let out a soft moan as she gave Jennie access to explore.
Jisoo tasted so good, unconsciously Jennie's hand was getting under Jisoo's pajama. Heat was pooling in her, she rubbed her lips against Jisoo's and Jisoo rubbed hers even harder. And every time Jisoo returned her kiss, her body was struck by fire. Jennie was immersed into the sensation.
Their skin was moist and the kiss was wet but it was a blazing fire, completely consuming her. The touch of her lips and the little sound they made making her head spin and her knees weak.
Both of the girls were expressing their almost two years suppressed desire for each other.
Jennie's one hand gently caressing Jisoo's face and the other scratching the skin of her lower back.
Something inside her was jolting uncontrollably.
Jisoo was kissing her back.
As their kiss was getting hungrier, Jennie heard Jisoo moaned softly again and her breath was getting heavier. She felt Jisoo's hand was moving, only slightly grazing the top of her chest. Jennie brought herself closer to Jisoo so that the girl's hand rested on the bare skin of her chest.
It crawled to the side of Jennie's neck and it stopped there.
At one point, Jisoo crushed her slightly opened mouth on Jennie's and she breathed out heavily inside the cave of Jennie's mouth. Jennie broke the kiss and whimpered a little, then she tried to get back to kiss Jisoo. Her body pressed on Jisoo even harder.
But Jisoo's breath was too heavy and Jennie felt her drawing away. Jennie pushed herself closer again but she couldn't find Jisoo.
She opened her eyes. There was Jisoo looking down, trying to catch her breath, hand still on Jennie's neck. Her lips were swollen and Jennie's lipstick was all over it. She had marked her.
Jennie noticed that Jisoo's eyes were too dark and she knew that they had to stop.
So this was probably the end. Or the beginning. Jennie didn't know. She was never the girl Jisoo had planned to have in her life. And this was probably not their first kiss Jisoo had in mind.
But there it was.
The girl she had never planned just took her breath away. And the kiss that had never crossed her mind just completely stripped her; her true desire and her thirst were nakedly visible before Jennie's eyes.
She still wanted Jennie. She still hadn't given up on the girl just yet.
And Jennie learned that tonight.
