Chapter Nineteen - Break time.

Venus and I were standing at our corners, before the match started my mother put a barrier, only because she didn't want anything in the training room to get destroyed. It was big, but who knows - this fight might be like me and my mother's own, where I cracked the wall and the damage was still there.
"The rules are simple, show me what you got and I'll determine who the winner is" My mother explained "The match will start...".
Venus and I just had a stare down, as the room was silent.
"Now!".
As expected Venus was quick to make the first move, but she also summoned her familiar, as she charged towards me.
She summoned a bird. I wasn't sure what kind it was, cause it had two heads and was covered in red flames, but her symbol wasn't on her wrist like my mother's - it was actually on the lower side on her stomach.
"You're gonna die mutt!" I heard Venus say, as she literally came from on top and quickly got me into a lock, as she commanded her familiar to attack me.
"Not a chance!" I quickly just turned into my wolf form in order for me to get out of Venus' lock, as I dodged her familiar, but it didn't stop there, cause it literally looked like Venus' wanted to kill me.
I saw her eyes turn the color of Violet, as she revealed her succubus form. She had horns on her head, as her tail was pointy at the end, as her breast and lower region was covered in a black substance, acting as a underwear or of that sort.
Throughout the duel, I was just avoiding Venus' attacks and it last until she wasn't able to control her familiar anymore, cause I remember her saying that she can't hold it that long.
When her familiar disappeared that's when I decided to counter, only because I know that controlling the familiar alone takes allot out of you, especially when you're new at it.
I leaped in the air and pinned Venus down on the ground, as I growled in her face.
"This ends now!" I told her telepathically, but all she did was laugh.
I was a bit caught off guard when she used her tail to literally wrap around my neck, as she pulled me off her.
I whimpered, as I hit the ground hard. I was a bit surprised that she was even able to do that with her tail.
The match actually lasted longer than I thought it would, with both of us pretty exhausted, but we were still going strong.
I managed to slash Venus with my claws, as my nails digged through her skin and then it hit me - what if that side if me gets triggered?
I was to focused and worried in the other side being triggered that I didn't realize Venus making her next move, which she just hit me hard to the floor, as she started to repeatedly hit me, as she was about to make her final blow-
"That's enough!" My mother frozed Venus' attack in place "I've seen what I wanted" She waved her hand, as she removed the charm from Venus', seeing her reveal her wings, as she had a smirk on her face, looking down at me pretty satisfied that she finally got what she wanted - and I'm not talking about her wings;I mean that's part of it, but sure it's because she finally got a chance to beat me down.
My mother made her way towards me, as I saw Aleia using some kind of spell to tend to Venus' wounds.
"I knew you weren't ready to fend for yourself" She looked a bit disappointed that I lost.
"I was just scared that the other side of me might come back" I said, as I exhaustedly turned back into my normal self, laying on the ground, panting heavily.
"But did it?" Her arms were crossed, as she shook her head.
"No, bu-".
"Look sweetie, I know you're scared in what will happen, but you can't always be afraid of that side of you. Because it's apart of you" My mother told me, cutting me off, as if I didn't know that already. I know I gotta accept my vampire side. Because I am indeed a hybrid, but it's honestly scary to know that I might end up hurting the people I love, without me doing anything about it, cause I wasn't able to stop myself.
"You just need to have more faith in yourself, cause I know that one of these days you will be able to control that side of you and embrace your vampire side" She finished off.
One of these days I guess..

I actually thought that my mom was gonna continue her lesson on teaching us how to control our familiar or to even summon one for that matter, cause I haven't learned that yet.
But it turns out that my father is having problems back at his pack, which my mother just accompanied him back and left us at the castle free to do whatever we want.
Venus obviously took a flight with Korra around the castle. She finally got her wings back and wasted no time in trying them out once more. So, the two were currently flying the skies above us.
"Y'know you could've won her" I heard Aleia suddenly say.
"W-What do you mean?" I acted as if I didn't know what she was talking about.
"I knew what your strategy was" She looked at me with a somewhat amused smile on her face "Since Venus' decided to summon her familiar, only because she wasn't able to have the upper hand in winning this match, cause she was bound to the ground without her wings" She looked up to the sky, as she watched her sister enjoy herself flying "You would've won her easily" She finished off.
"And why do you say that?".
Aleia just shook her head and punched my arm playfully, as I chuckled at that.
"I'm sure you know why, but I'll explain anyways - summoning a familiar can be exhausting, cause you're channeling your energy in making one and plus with her being a succubus, who literally runs on energy she feeds off. I'm sure it can be draining, only because I'm sure that no other succubus even needs to summon a familiar to begin with" She explained.
"And for her to be able to do that being a succubus. It's pretty exhausting knowing she's sacrificing some of her energy that keeps her going" She finished off.
"Oh and if you could've wore her down a bit more - that's when you'll have the upper hand" She added right after.
"Yeah, but.." I just looked up to the sky, watching the two fly around "Venus really wanted her wings and kept blaming me for her losing them. So, I'm glad she won" I said as I laid back on the ground, as I continued to look up to the sky.
"So, you made her win?" Aleia raised an eyebrow at me.
"Not exactly.." I looked over to her "I made her bleed. So, I thought my other side will be triggered and held myself back" I told her "But it turns out that I wasn't effected at all, which was a bit surprising" I explained.
I was still a bit confused in how this other side of me works or what specific type of blood that triggers it. Because so far I know my mother's own does.
Also, Aleia's own, but why? What makes their blood so similar?
And am I able to summon that side of me myself?

- I literally didn't know what to name the title of this chapter 💀 but anyways, that ain't important- thanks to for reading this far (whoever is even still reading this book).
- I've decided to work on this book, given how I got a few ideas for the following chapters. Also, since I literally don't have any ideas for my Genshin Fanfic book. So, why not just work on this for awhile until I think of something for my fan fiction one.
