Once we got back to the cave I'd left Bellamy in, we all walked in silence. Bellamy jolted up scanning the group.
"Where's Lincoln?" He asked as he didn't see him.
"Dead." I managed to say.
Bellamy looked at me apologetically, but I couldn't even look him in the eyes, not anymore.
"Pike put a bullet in his brain." Octavia added.
"O. O I'm so sorry." Bellamy finally said.
Octavia turned around and punched him. Then again.
"Octavia that's enough." Kane said trying to stop her.
"Kane stay out of this." Bellamy ordered him.
As Octavia kept kicking and punching her brother I didn't feel anything for him. The small bit of me that believed he was sorry, that wanted to let him go was gone.
Honestly every inch of my body was rooting for Octavia to kill him, but I knew that someday I'd regret it if he was dead.
Bellamys face was full of blood, Octavia slammed him into the wall and hurt him the best she could.
"Ok that's enough." Miller said as he stepped between the two siblings, but Octavia pushed him away.
"Get out." She cried.
"Miller back it up." Bellamy demanded.
I went outside the cave, I couldn't handle looking at Bellamy when all I saw was Lincoln dead.
As the sunlight hit my face and the fresh breeze blew through my hair, it felt like a normal day. But it wasn't, I sat on a rock just outside the cave. I looked at the ground, I wanted to cry but somehow I couldn't.
I wasn't able to express all the pain I was feeling.
"I'm sorry about your your brother." I heard a voice say as it exited the cave.
In a few seconds I felt Harpers presence beside me as she joined me on the rock.
"I know how it feels to lose your family." She tried to comfort me.
"Do you know it feels to lose your family at the hands of the same people you've been protecting even though it brought you hatred from everyone else?" I asked a bit angered as she tried to relate.
"No." She said after a while of silence.
She put an arm around me and rested her head on my shoulder.
"But I do know what it feels like to be alone, and I just wanted to let you know that you're not." Harper added.
I finally looked up at her, she looked sincere, and genuine, "That's the thing, I am alone."
I got up and re-entered the cave. There was a tense silence that filled the air until Miller broke it, "I saw we run two-man patrols around the clock, starting now."
"We'll do that, but we should be safe here. The grounder blockade is too close for pike to risk looking for us." Kane explained.
"Yeah but are we safe from the blockade?" Riley asked concerned.
"As long as we stay on this side of the line you'll be safe." Kane assured him.
"They're grounders, you really think they're gonna play by the rules?" Riley argued.
I looked up at Riley, "It's because we're grounders that we ply by the rules." I defended.
Riley looked at me, he seemed scared, but Miller decided to distract him from me, "Pike'll want you dead now too. We take him out we can go home."
"We take him out, then the grounders lift the blockade." Harper pointed out.
"That's right. We become the 13the clan again. those were the terms." Kane explained the plan
"Those were Lexa's terms, who knows if the next commander will honor them." Sinclair said.
"One problem at a time." Kane answered.
"What about Clarke, with Lexa gone, she's not safe in Polis anymore." Miller asked.
"Clarke made her choice, the only thing that matters now is killing pike." Octavia interrupted.
"Octavias right, once we resume our place in the commanders coalition, Clarke will be safe."Kane told everyone.
"Lexa was the only one who believed Skaikru deserved a second chance, and a third, and she was ready to give you a fourth, everyone else hated you guys, this next commander will kill pike, and you as well." I explained to them.
"So how do we do it?" Kane asked as he looked at me.
"Bellamy come in it's Monty." We heard Montys voice come in over the radio, "Im in trouble. Please say you still have your radio."
All attention all switched to Kane as held the radio, ready to respond but Sinclair stopped him, "if we respond and piles listening—"
"Go to channel 7." Bellamy spoke, we all turned to look at him, "'please say you still have your radio'. 7 words after the word trouble. It's code, go to channel 7"
Kane hesitated before switching the channel.
"Bellamy are you there?" Monty asked.
"Monty it's Kane, what's wrong?" Kane asked him.
"Pike knows that I helped you get out." Monty explained.
"Can you get to the dropship?" Kane asked trying to get a location.
"I think so." Monty assumed.
I already knew where this was going so I walked over to Bellamy and began taking the rope off and holding on tight with my hand.
"Good. Go there. I'll bring you in." Kane told Monty.
"Hold on, what if it's a trap and pikes waiting?" Harper inferred.
"That's why I'm goin alone." Kane explained.
"Like hell you are." I spoke from behind every one as I held Bellamy tightly in my grip. Even though he was taller than me I had the rope and held his shoulder so he wouldn't get away.
Everyone looked at me shocked as they just realized I had him, "What, we'll need a hostage to trade in for Monty." I explained.
"Good Bela, he stays chained." Kane agreed.
"I agree with Bela." Octavia spoke as she put on her jacket and began to get up.
"Me too." Miller said preparing to leave.
"No you're not." Kane decided.
"If it is a trap, I'm not marching out entire insurgency into it." Kane added.
"To stop me, you're going to have to kill me." Octavia said.
"She hopes it's a trap." Bellamy realized.
When all eyes went back on Bellamy and I Kane spoke, "Gag him."
I handed the rope to Octavia as I got a price of cloth and wrapped it around his mouth without making any eye contact.
I left him in Octavias hands as I kept walking with everyone else.
———————————
The whole walk through the forest was quiet. Once we made it to the dropship I unsheathed my sword preparing for any threat to come as I stepped onto the grounds of where I'd first met these kids. It felt like so long ago, they were merely strangers I hated, now some if them I could consider friends maybe.
Kane held his gun up to Bellamys head in case anyone was out there, when we walked through the gates there was no one there.
"Monty?" Kane shouted.
"We got here first." Kane concluded.
"Now we didn't." I said as I quickly took Bellamy from kane and raised my sword to his throat and stepped forward.
"Get outside now!" I yelled to the people inside the dropship.
I saw monty come out tied up and right behind him was Pike holding a gun to his head.
"They followed me, I'm sorry." Monty apologized.
"Let him go Pike!" Kane ordered.
"Can't do that." Pike said before speaking into his radio.
A bullet was fired right at my feet and I jumped a little so it didn't hit me. They had people in hiding, who knew how many.
"It's over, put your weapons down." Pike demanded.
"Shoot him." Octavia said eagerly.
"Montys in the shot." Kane explained.
"Come on Marcus!" Another bullet was fired at our foot, but closer this time and we all shuffled to our right, "I promised Montys mother that I'd bring him home alive. Don't make me a liar!"
I hear Kane remove his finger from the trigger and looked back to see him dropping his gun.
"Kane no." I argued.
"Now you!" Pike said as he looked directly at me.
I didn't change my position, I just applied a little more pressure to his throat.
Pike spoke into the radio again and Bellamy managed to catch me off guard and twist my arm causing me to drop my sword. It didn't matter how much training I had, he was to strong.
I was on my knees as I saw Octavia surrender and drop her sword as well. Pike whistled and many other guards Can out of hiding. All with guns.
I groaned in pain as Bellamy kept my arm bent, some guard came over to me and tied me in ropes. Once that was done they finally stood me up.
I was being held back by a couple of guards and my blood boiled as I saw Pike pick up my mothers sword, my sword.
"You don't look so good." Pike said as he walked up to Bellamy and in gagged him.
"I'm fine." Bellamy answered as he looked back at me.
"You got about 5 seconds to make me believe you're still with me." Pike warned Bellamy.
"All the others are in a cave not far from here." Bellamy revealed to him.
"You son a bith!" Octavia yelled as she managed to escape the guards grips and run towards her brother but she was immediately shock lashed and fell for the ground.
She locked eyes with me, "Ge smack daun, gyon op nodotaim(get knocked down, get back up)" I quietly said to her knowing that no one else would understand.
Octavia pulled herself up and weakly walked next to me.
"I don't have the coordinates, but I can take you there." Bellamy added.
———————————
We'd been gagged and a group of guards led us back to the cave.
"You sure about the route." Pike asked concerned, "We're getting close to the blockade line."
"That's why Kane set up here. He didn't think we'd risk it." Bellamy explained to him.
After a few minutes of silence Bellamy spoke up again, "what's going to happen to my sister? I know she has to answer for her crimes but—"
"Tell you what, I'll make you the same promise I made to Montys mother, immunity from all past action, but if she screws up again—" pike began.
"She won't, I'll make sure of it. My sister my responsibility."Bellamy assured him.
"And uh, what about Bela?" He asked. I switched my attention back to him at the sound of my voice.
"She's committed many crimes Bellamy—" pike started to speak but Bellamy interrupted him.
"I know but she had good reasons, she didn't do it for no reason." Bellamy defended.
"I understand that Blake, but apart from that," Pike turned to look at me, we were all still walking, and then he turned back to Bellamy, "Shes a grounder."
"She'll face the same fate as her brother. Death."
Octavia looked at me urgently but I had no reaction, I just gave her a calm and reassuring look, letting her know it's ok.
At this point I didn't care if I lived or died I just wanted to say Pikes dead body before I took my last breath.
————————————-
After walking for another half hour Pile ordered us to stop.
"Now The cave is just on the other side." Bellamy told Pike. He was lying, he was leading them straight to the blockade line.
"Keep a sharp eye out." Pike ordered his men. Bellamy looked up into the sky a lot until I realized what he was doing. He was looking for grounders to come out, so I began to do the same thing.
The horn that was sounded was music to my ears. We'd been spotted.
"The blockade! Anybody got eyes?" Pike asked alarmed, "back up to higher ground!"
"Drop your weapon." Bellamy said as he pointed his gun at Pike.
"What the hell are you doing?" Pike asked nervously.
"Drop your weapon!" Bellamy repeated.
I gave Octavia a nodded and we both hit the guards taking care of us. My hands were tied so the best thing I could do was el ow one in the face and kick the other guard down.
"We bring you chancellor pike of the sky people!" Bellamy yelled to the grounders. "Bel translate." He said quietly to me.
I pulled down my gag and shouted into the trees, "Osir lid yo in Chansla Paik kom Skaikru"
"You killed us all." Pike aggressively said as he turned to Bellamy.
"Take him! Lift this blockade! Bela." Bellamy said as he asked me to translate.
"Teik em in, ban disha treibloka we!" I repeated Bellamys words in trig. Arrows were shot all around and I took Octavia to the ground with me making sure she find they hit.
Once the arrows stopped, dozens of grounders surrounded us.
Octavia took a blade out from the body of the dead guards and ran towards pike but Kane stopped her, "Hey no. The grounders are going to need him alive." Kane explained.
"They didn't get justice for Finn Octavia, if you don't give him pike alive, they won't let it slide." I said to her as I took the blade from her hands and began cutting through the rope.
"I'm that case-" pike said as he began to run for Bellamy with his gun but I a managed to turn around in time and stick the blade into his shoulder, just like I'd done before.
He fell to the ground in pain, he screamed as I pulled it out.
"Oh I'm sorry, was that the same shoulder." I said sarcastically as I finished up freeing Octavia.
I looked to pike and saw as he looked at me with anger.
The grounders punched him one last time and that was enough to keep him down.
Octavia took the blade from my hands and cut my free, I moved around my wrist trying to adjust and grabbed my sword from pikes hand.
The grounders picked him up and began walking away with him but Kane caught up.
"Where are you taking him?" Kane asked.
"To the new commander." The grounder told him.
"May i join you?" Kane asked as he lifted his sleeve to show the brand of the 13th clan.
"Don't slow us down." The man said firmly.
"Who is the new commander?" I asked the man hoping he'd know.
The man looked at me in shock, it annoyed me that every grounder I'd see would either, be shocked, scared, or see me as a traitor.
"Ontari kom Azgeda." The man responded.
That girl was a servant, a nobody how could she become the commander.
"Are you sure, we know nothing about the new commander." Monty pointed out to Kane.
"I'm sure." Kane replied.
I sat with Octavia next to the bodies of the guards that'd just been killed.
A man began to wake up and in merely half a second I had my sword through his heart. Bellamy and Montys heads snapped towards my direction.
"Jus drein jus draun."
I took my sword out and kept walking.
"What do we know about this new commander?" Bellamy asked as he caught up to me.
I stayed silent and kept walking.
"Is she dangerous?" Octavia asked me as she matched my pace.
"She's Queen Nia's servant, queen of Azgeda." I cleared up, "I don't know her personally, and I definitely didn't know she was a Natblida."
"Great so we don't have any idea what we're up against." Octavia said.
"If she has the flame, we're done for." I added.
"The flame?" Monty asked from behind me.
"The spirits of the previous commanders." I explained.
