Nobody's point of view
Rick was outside the prison walls, again.
He was sitting by the lake where he'd last 'seen Lori'.

"Lori," he whispered, staring into the rippling water, "Lori come back to me."
He was answered with nothing but the chirping of birds and the rusting of the trees.
A tear trickled down his right cheek and he asked again,
"Lori, I need you." he said, this time more desperate, "I can't live without you."

When nothing happened again he buried his face in his hands, a crying mess.

"Rick?" Hershel said, walking over to him, "Rick snap out of it."
Rick looked up at him, his face red and his eyes puffy.
"You have a son." Hershel told him, "You have a son, and now you have a daughter who both need you now more than ever."

"I can't." Rick whispered,
"Yes you can!" Hershel snapped, "Rick you got us as far as we are, you aren't about to give up now surely?"
Rick shook his head, wiping away the tears,
"How." he said, "How do I recover."

Hershel sighed and looked at the ground,
"I know how it feels," he told him, "I lost my wife too, right at the beginning of the apocalypse."
Rick took in everything that he was saying,
"But I got over it Rick. I saw that I had two beautiful daughters that needed my help and I got over it."

Rick stood up,
"I understand," he said, "I know I need to step up."
"And a good way to start would be to admit you are hallucinating- not seeing Lori."
"But-"
"No rick." Hershel said sternly, "Admit it and move on."

Rick broke eye contact and breathed in,
"It was," he stuttered, "I-it was a hallucination."

Hershel smiled,
"That's all I needed to hear, you've got this Rick."

Hershel grabbed Ricks arm to help him up, then they both walked into the prison.
Carl was waiting for Rick next to the vegetable patch,

"Dad, there's someone here," he said, urging his dad to follow,
"Who?"
"Just come." Carl said.

Everyone followed and walked round to the back fence.
Carl pointed into the distance,
"Look." He said.

By the gate were two women and two men.

"MAGGIE!!!" Fleur said running to the fence and opening the gate wide to let them in. She gave her sister a huge hug.
"Maggie, Glenn, who are they?" Fleur pointed to the other man and woman, one had one hand and one had a katana.

Merle

Merle and Michonne

Merle scanned the group, looking for his brother.

Then their eyes met.

"M- Mer-" Daryls voice broke, tears streamed down his cheeks as he ran up to him,
Their bodies collided and Merle pulled him into a big man hug,

"I-I thought you were dead bro," Daryl cried,
"Me too Daryl, me too."

After almost a year of being apart they had finally found each other- and although they weren't the perfect family they were still all each other had.
Merle was racist and damaged and Daryl had been through unthinkable shit.

And now they were reunited.

"Well we'll well, if it isn't Rick the prick." Merle laughed, giving Rick a small smile which was returned,

Michonne stood next to the fence, observing everything around her. She felt... out of place.

"Oh, this is Michonne!" Maggie said, grabbing Michonnes arm eagerly and dragging her to the rest of the group, "She saved mine and Glenn's life."
"What happened?" Carol asked and Maggie shot a glance to Merle.

"Merle happened, but I forgive him." Maggie smiled,

"I'd love to chat n' all but I really think we should get Andrea as soon as possible." Michonne blurted.

The group all stood with their jaws dropped and their eyes wide open,
"Oh shit yeah, Andrea was in your group. She's alive basically, she's in Woodbury."

"Andreas alive?" Katelyn asked with the most shocked expression ever,
"Yeah," Maggie said, "It's amazing innit?"

"I always knew she was a tough nut." Isla giggled,
"Actually," Maggie corrected, "She wouldn't be alive if it weren't for Michonne."

"Well what are we waiting for then?" Hershel said, "Let's get our Andrea back."

"The thing is." Michonne started, "I'm not even sure if she will want to leave Woodbury."

"What even is Woodbury and why wouldn't she want to leave if we're her friends?" Andy asked,

"There's this dude who runs the place, he's a weirdo, he's called the Governor." Merle said,
"Well shit," Michonne said, "That's funny because about a day ago you were chasing after me following his orders."

"I needed sum to do okay?" Merle said and Daryl rolled his eyes, he was fed up with his brother already.

"So Woodbury is another camp?" Carl asked,
"Oh no, camp is an understatement. Woodbury is a whole town." Michonne answered, "And it's beautiful, but don't be fooled, it has its flaws."

"What flaws?" Pedro narrowed his eyes,
"Open holes in the walls for walkers to get in, random cages of walkers in the back yard, guards who don't know how to fire their own weapons."
Michonne listed, "And oh believe me- I'm sure there's more."

"There is," Merle confessed, "The Governor isn't all he's cracked up to be, he kills innocent people for their supplies. Just a few days ago he wiped out a whole army camp."
"Jesus," Michonne said, "Well I didn't expect that that's for sure."

"So it's a nice town run by a not so nice leader?" Tom confirmed and Michonne nodded,
"Pretty much."

"Well this is an eventful day," Carol giggled happily, "I GET TO SEE ANDREA!"
"Calm your socks down Carol," Katelyn laughed.

"Are you good with that katana?" Carl asked Michonne,
"Oh yeah believe me, you do not want to be on the bad side of Michonne when she's got her katana." Merle answered instead, pointing to the huge plaster on his face.

The group laughed,
"You deserved it idiot," Michonne spat.
It was obvious the two would never get along.

"I jus- I can't beleive it," Tom said, "This is so much to take in, I can't believe Andreas alive. AND we have a new amazing member of the prison gang."
"Prison gang?" Michonne cringed, Rick laughed at her,
"Well I mean it only makes sense since we live in a prison I guess."

Everyone went silent and baby cries were revealed coming from cell block one.
"I'll get her," Fleur said, running to to building.
"A baby?" Michonnes eyes lit up, "H-how?"

"She's my sister," Carl said, "My mum she- she died giving birth to her."

The group went silent once again,
"I'm sorry," Merle said, "Lori was a good person."
"She was." Rick stared at the grass.

"So who's gonna look after Judy while we're at Woodbury?" Fleur asked, walking up and rocking the baby in her hands,
"I will." Carol volunteered,
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah- I love babies."

Fleur nodded then looked to Carl and Rick for approval. They nodded too and Carol smiled taking the baby,
"I guess it's just you and me kiddo."

"Yall might wanna get some bags packed and load up your cars with fuel," Michonne said, "Probably won't need too much cuz it's just down the highway."
"How much ammo you think we'll need?" Maggie wondered,
"Heaps," Merle said, "Most of em aren't very good with weapons but the Governor is a natural, he's the best shot I ever seen."
"Except Andrea," Michonne corrected, "Andreas aim is impeccable."

"What happens if Andrea refuses? What's plan B?" Carl asked,
"Well I guess if she refuses then we abandon the mission, we don't wanna start a fight for no reason whatsoever," Michonne shrugged.

"What about dad?" Fleur asked, looking over to her father who was standing with his crutches,
"I'll fight too," Hershel said, "I can still shoot a gun just as good as before."
"Yeah but you can't run away if we were to follow plan B," Maggie said sighing,
"I don't care." Hershel stated, "I'm fighting and that's that, I don't wanna be a burden who can't do anything."
"Whatever you say dad," Fleur said defeated.

The group all returned to cell block one and got ready, they packed all the guns they had and other weapons like axes.
They also packed things like food, meds and drinks.
Michonne got to know Isla pretty well and they were getting along amazingly,
"So you lived at the farm with Fleur, Maggie, Hershel and Katelyn at the start of the apocalypse?" Michonne asked,
"Yeah, Hershel was kind enough to offer us both the house next door. Me, Fleur and Katelyn were friends before."
"So is Carol your mum?" Michonne said,
"Oh no, Carols daughter died... it was quite tragic."
"Oh I'm so sorry, so are your parents..." Michonne didn't carry on incase it was a super sensitive subject,
"To be honest, I don't know." Isla admitted, "Me and Katelyn didn't wanna go back to our homes because we were already so safe at the farm. We also didn't want to incase you know... the worse had happened there."
"The worse being your home overrun?"
"Exactly," Isla replied.

"Well it seems like you've made a wonderful new family," Michonne said, motioning to the rest of the group,
"Yeah," Isla smiled, "They are great."
