I meet up with Merlin as I was about to walk into Gaius's chambers.
"Where'd you go earlier?" Merlin asks
"Oh, so you did notice," I say
Merlin goes red. I chuckle and walk into the chambers.
"Do you know anything about the girl?" Gaius was standing in front of us.
"What, girl?" Merlin asks
"The girl from the cage. She escaped last night." Gaius states
"Good for her," I say
"They're hunting for her," Gaius says
"Why can't they just let her be?" Merlin asks
"Did you two help her escape?" Gaius ask
"No..." Merlin replies.
Gaius gives us a look, "Merlin, Olivia!"
"You told us not to get involved, so we didn't," I say
"Promise me that you did nothing," Gaius says
"Yes!" I say
Gaius looks at us. "Good because when Halig finds out who helped her, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes."
A little later, Merlin and I walk into Arthur's room. He was eating a piece of chicken.
"Would you like some water with that?" Merlin asks
"Hmm." Arthur nods
Merlin pours him some water. Suddenly Arthur's knife flies off the table. I hit Merlin in the arm. Arthur looks confused; he bends over to pick it up. One of Arthur's drumsticks flies off his plate, and Merlin catches it in the jug.
Arthur comes back up and looks at his plate. "I had two drumsticks."
"No, you didn't," Merlin says
"Merlin, I had two drumsticks," Arthur says,
"Maybe it fell on the floor," I say
Arthur stares at his plate then bends over again. Each of his sausages flew into the jug Merlin was holding again. Arthur comes back up and looks at his plate; he looks confused.
"I had sausages." He says.
"You did?" I ask
"They must've fallen under the table." Merlin kneels.
"Merlin!" Arthur says
"What? You can search us; we haven't taken them." Merlin says
Arthur leans over to him. "Where have they gone?"
"Strange," Merlin says.
"Very!" Arthur says angrily.
"You sure you didn't eat them all?" I ask
"I haven't had the chance!"Arthur shouts.
"Hmm." I turn and walk out the door. Merlin follows me.
Merlin and I head down to the lower town, and Merlin was still carrying the jug. I was walking behind Merlin, suddenly he stops, and I crash into Merlin.
"What are you--" I say.
I look around Merlin and see the bounty hunter. He was glaring at us.
Some Camelot guards grabbed us and dragged us down to the dungeons. They took us into the dungeons. The guards hold us and the Bounty hunter walks in he grabs the jug and empties it. The sausages fall out.
"It's just the Prince's leftovers." Merlin says
"Does he know you two steal his food?" He asks
"Not exactly" Merlin replies.
"Where were you taking it?" The bounty hunter asks.
"Home for our dinner." I say
"Really?" He steps right in front of me "The Druid girl I'm looking for, have you seen?"
"No." I say
"Do you know how much money she's worth to me?" He asks.
I shake my head. His face was right against mine.
"More than your life. So I'm asking again, have you seen the Druid girl?" He asks
"No." I say
The guards pull Merlin to the side and the bounty hunter pushes me down onto a chair.
"Hold her." He orders.
Some guards hold me down against the chair "I think you're lying to me."
"I am not!" I shout.
"I don't believe you." He says he holds his hand up in a fist.
Merlin tries to pull out of the guard's grip.
"Halig! What do you think you're doing?" Arthur came around the corner and looks into the cell.
Arthur walks into the cell.
"We caught the boy and girl, behaving suspiciously, Sire." Halig says
"Merlin and Olivia?" Arthur asks
"They could be harboring the girl and she's." Halig looks back at me, "going to tell us where."
He holds his hand in a fist again.
Arthur grabs his arm "Leave her alone!"
He pushes Halig away and comes to me. He holds his hand out to me. I grab it and he pulls me up.
"Olivia, is my subject. She has my absolute trust." Arthur says "If you have a problem with her, you come to me. Understand?"
Halig bows, "Sire. Goodnight, Olivia" He walks to the door "Goodnight, Merlin. Don't forget your dinner."
Everyone walks out, Arthur turns to me.
"Are you alright?" Arthur asks.
"Yes, thank you," I say.
Arthur nods. I walk over to Merlin.
"I'm sorry," He whispers.
I nod. I turn back and look at Arthur, he was looking at the sausages on the floor.
Merlin looks at the sausages "Ah!"
"Are those my sausages?" Arthur asks
"Mmm," Merlin nods.
"You took them?" Arthur asks
I walk over to Arthur, "It was his idea." I say pointing at Merlin.
"I took them to keep you in shape." Merlin states.
Merlin bends down and picks up the sausages.
"Are you saying I'm fat?" Arthur asks
"No. Well, not yet," Merlin says.
"I am not fat!" Arthur shouts.
"You see, it's working." Merlin smiles and walks out the door.
Arthur looks at me ."Am I fat?"
I shake my head "You're fine"
I smile at him and walk out the cell.
Early the next morning there was a two dead bodies, Gaius was called to examine the bodies. Merlin was down with Freya most of the day. I walk out of the main chambers and look for Jules. I find her sitting outside.
"Hey," I say
"Hey, Liv." Jules smiles.
I sit down next to her.
"Where's your partner in crime?" She asks.
"With Freya," I reply
"He likes her doesn't he?" Jules asks.
I nod "It's pretty obvious"
She laughs. "Yeah, he isn't very subtle."
"Do you wanna come to have some dinner with us?" I ask
"Sure, it'll be fun" She smiles.
We get up and head to Gaius's chambers.
"Gaius, we have one extra person." I say
"The more the merrier" Gaius smiles.
Gaius grabs an extra plate and dishes some food. We start eating
Merlin comes in and grabs a bowl, he was humming happily and pacing while he was eating.
"Will you stop that?" Gaius asks
"What?" Merlin asks
"Sit down and eat your soup," Gaius says.
Merlin sits down across from Jules and me. He continues humming.
"What is going on with you?" I ask
"Nothing" He says "I feel great."
"Good, then you can do some chores," Gaius says.
"Chores?" He asks
"Unless you've got something better to do?" Gaius asks.
"Sorry, I'm going out." Merlin says
"What time will you be back?" Gaius asks.
"Mmm. Don't wait up for me, I might be late." Merlin says.
He turns and walks out the door.
Gaius looks at us "What is wrong with him?"
"I don't know, we'll go check on him," I say
I get up and walk to the door with Juliana behind me.
I see Merlin turn the corner. I run forward.
"Merlin!" I call.
He stops and looks at me.
"Did something happen with Freya?" I ask.
"Maybe" Merlin says. "We kissed"
"That explains the humming and walking in circles." Jules says.
"Well, I have to get to Freya," Merlin says.
He turns and walks away from us.
"That guy is a riddle wrapped in the mystery," Jules says as we watch Merlin walk away.
"My brother, everybody." I say, "Come one."
I turn and walk back into Gaius's chambers.
A little later that night, I walked down the passage from dropping some plates off in the kitchens. I walk back down the passage and see Merlin holding a dress. Arthur also ran into Merlin from the other side. Arthur looks at Merlin then at the dress, he continues walking then stops.
"What're you doing?" Arthur asks
"Yes, answer that" I say
"Uh, running an errand for Gaius," Merlin says.
"No, you aren't. You haven't been back since dinner." I say
"Strange" Arthur says
"I don't think the dress is for Gaius," Merlin says
"As long as you do a decent day's work, Merlin. That's all I care about." He walks off.
"No it's not for me!" Merlin says.
"What a man does in his spare time Is completely up to him," Arthur says, backing away.
"You've got this wrong," Merlin says.
"Color suits you, Merlin," Arthur says turning around the corner.
I laugh at him as he walks away.
"So, what are you doing?" I ask.
"Nothing," Merlin says as he walks away.
