It was the night of the Hymeneal's eve. Almost everything was already in place. The King was hands-on and made sure everything was in perfect order. The palace backyard, where the ceremony would be held, was well-decorated with Cherry Blossoms and White Forsythias. Even the interior and exterior of the palace were filled with ornaments. The King was making sure nothing would go wrong for his sons' Hymeneal.
On the other hand, the Princes were having a rare gathering on Seungcheol's room. Seungcheol himself was surprised to see his brothers flood in his private space. In no time, Jun and Vernon were sitting on the sofa, Soonyoung was on the floor leaning on the edge of Seungcheol's bed, Wonwoo was occupying the bottom half of the bed, and Seokmin was lying on the carpeted floor with his head plopped up on his left palm.
"What brought you to my room?" Seungcheol placed his hands on his waist.
"Nothing. Nothing in particular," Seokmin responded.
"Are you sure?" Seungcheol squinted his eyes. "Because the last time we all gathered in anyone's bedroom was to talk about our worries about training with the Special Defense Force."
"Fine. Fine. I admit. I'm feeling kind of nervous," Soonyoung sighed.
"Same here," Jun threw his head backwards.
"Me too," Seokmin rested supine on the floor.
"I thought I was the only one," Vernon reacted. Wonwoo also raised his hand but buried his head on the mattress.
Seungcheol chuckled, climbed on his bed and leaned on the headboard, "So, I guess we're all nervous, then, huh?"
"You too, hyung?" Vernon looked at Seungcheol.
"Well, of course I am. I am part of tomorrow's Hymeneal too," Seungcheol smiled. "What are you all worried about?"
"What if Ji won't show up tomorrow?" Soonyoung grabbed his hair.
"Relax, will you?" Seungcheol reprimanded. "He will show up tomorrow. That's for sure."
"What if Dino-ya's feelings will change after the Hymeneal?" Seokmin covered his face.
"You are soulmates, remember? Other than that, I believe Chan's feelings for you are real so you have nothing to worry about." Jun consoled. "I'm just worried about Haohao changing his mind before the Hymeneal."
"Minghao would never do that. After all that you have been through, you're relationship with Minghao is as hard as a diamond. That's for sure," Wonwoo said. "While here I am, afraid that Gyu will grow tired of me."
"After giving Jun-hyung that wonderful advice, you are feeling like that, hyung?" Vernon told Wonwoo. "But I can relate though. I am worried that what I have with Kwannie is only temporary."
"Stop thinking nonsense and stop doubting your soulmates," Seungcheol stated. "And besides, do you really think they will agree with you turning them into a Paragon if their feelings were not that deep enough? Jun, Soonyoung, and Wonwoo, you three even did 'it' already. Those facts alone prove that you have nothing to worry about."
"How about you, hyung? What are you worried about?" Seokmin asked Seungcheol.
"I'm just worried about my future with Hannie and Shua," Seungcheol confessed. "Everything is just happening so fast and I have two soulmates to protect and take care of. Add also the fact that I'm heir to the throne. I'm worried if I'm going to be a good partner for my soulmates even with all my responsibilities."
"Why are you even doubting yourself, hyung? You are fully capable of everything," Wonwoo commented.
"There is nothing hyung can't do especially if you put your mind into it," Seokmin said.
"Also, you have us if you really need help," Soonyoung confidently claimed.
"We are always here for you, hyung," Vernon reminded Seungcheol.
"So, don't worry about the future too much. If I were you, I will enjoy the present with Jeonghan-hyung and Joshua-hyung," Jun advised.
After the serious heart-to-heart talk between the Princes, their topic shifted into much lighter ones. They six began to giggle and laugh as their conversation went from one area to another. It was Seungcheol who put a stop to the conversation after realizing the time.
"It's getting late. We should go to bed now," Seungcheol told his brothers.
As his brothers were making their way to the door, Seungcheol said, "See you tomorrow for our big day."
Fascinatingly, while the Princes were having open forum on their worries, the soulmates, on the other hand, were in a video call. Unlike the Princes, however, they were talking about something fun.
"Oh my goodness. Are you excited for tomorrow?" Seungkwan started the conversation.
"Yeah. A little nervous but it's negligible," Chan told the truth.
"Why are you nervous, Chan-ya?" Jeonghan stepped in as the eldest.
"Well, you know. It's just we're taking a really big and life-changing step tomorrow and it's not sinking in to me yet," Chan explained.
"I think that applies to all of us," Jeonghan rationalized. "However, there is nothing to worry about since we all have our soulmates to help us with the transition."
"Enough with the sad talk, how about your wardrobe? I personally picked mine with the help of my elder sisters. It's simple yet fit for the occasion," Seungkwan changed the topic.
"Thankfully, I was able to find mine with the help of my parents. I am not into fashion and dressing up, after all," Jihoon shared his experience.
"I saw something that really got my attention. Thankfully, it was my size so I adjusted my whole outfit around it," Minghao recalled.
"That's a tall praise from you, Minghao," Mingyu commented. "As for me, I gave the storeowner a bit of trouble before I could find my whole getup."
"So did I. I was feeling guilty about inconveniencing the storeowner. Thankfully, after many trial and errors, the style matched up and I like it," Chan recounted.
"Han and I shopped together but we did not see each other's clothes," Joshua mentioned.
"But we both did find the perfect attire, in our personal terms, for tomorrow," Jeonghan added.
"How about your hair? Did you do anything to your hair?" Seungkwan inquired as all of them were wearing something that hid their hairs. "I dyed mine."
"Well, let's say I changed my color," Jeonghan teased.
"I changed my hair color, too," Joshua quickly followed. "I can't wait to see you, Han."
"Same goes to you, Joshie," Jeonghan replied.
"Eww... too sweet, lovebirds," Jihoon joked. "As for my hair, it's about time I changed color."
"No drastic changes here," Mingyu giggled.
"What does that supposed to mean?" Seungkwan protested.
"All of you will have to wait for tomorrow to find out," Minghao one-upped Jeonghan's teaser.
"Maybe? Maybe not? I'll let you decide tomorrow," Chan joined the fray of ambiguous answers.
"I can't help but wonder how Vernonie will look tomorrow?" Seungkwan managed to seamlessly shift to another topic.
"They're Princes, Seungkwan. I'm sure they have prepared some showstopper attires for tomorrow. Not only that, ugliness does not exist in a Paragon's dictionaries." Jihoon deadpanned.
"Junnie is always good-looking whatever he wears," Minghao blushed.
"I'm sure no matter what Wonnie wears, he will still look great," Mingyu was highly confident. "He even looks good naked."
"Eww..." the rest reacted to Mingyu's statement.
"Kyeomie will never disappoint," Chan smiles.
"I have no doubts that Cheol will look gorgeous tomorrow," Joshua was completely sure.
"Well, we won't know until tomorrow. For the meantime, we should hang up now. It's getting late and we still have our big day tomorrow," Jeonghan pointed out.
"Oh, right. I need my beauty rest. Bye, guys!" Seungkwan hastily said.
"Bye, everyone. See you tomorrow," the rest also left the call.
And with that, only hours remained before the Royal Hymeneal.
