Cameron POV
"I can't believe you!" I said, trying my best not to cry.
"Babe, I'm sorry. It just happened!" Derek argued.
Ok, I'm going to explain before I go on.
My name is Cameron Brooks.
I am a WWE Diva and I am dating Derek Carr, quarterback for the Oakland Raiders.
Right now we are in the middle of an argument, so i guess I'll get back to that.
"I can't believe you cheated on me!" I yelled.
"And I TOLD you I didn't mean to!" He countered. "I said, it was an accident!"
"Oh, so I suppose that makes it all right!" I fired back. "You go out with Heather, your EX girlfriend, behind my back, and nearly destroy me! Oh but it's all right,though, because it
Just HAPPENED and it was an accident!"
"You know what?" Derek asked, angrily. "Maybe I DID have a reason. Maybe I feel as if you don't even care about me anymore."
"What?"
"Think about it Cameron! You're spending too much time being a Diva these days to even think about me. You care more about that than you do about me, just admit it!" Derek said, with so much anger in his voice that it almost scared me.
Not to mention hurt like hell.
"I can't believe you would say that." I said, not even trying to hold back tears anymore.
"Well, I think it's true." He said.
"Oh ok, I get it. It's fine and dandy for you to have a career and just run around with whoever the hell you want to, but it's NOT ok for me to do something that I enjoy and frankly love."
I said.
By this point there was absolutely no holding back the tears. They were absolutely pouring
out of my eyes like a waterfall.
I don't think I have ever felt this hurt before.
Derek looked at me.
"Oh my God, Cameron, I'm so sorry, babe. I didn't mean it." He was starting to change his attitude completely.
However, I could not control all of the tears that kept falling. I have honestly not been hurt this much
in a very long time.
I mean, HE is the one doing the cheating but yet he acts as if it is my fault.
I may being ridiculous but that just HURTS.
"Baby, can you please forgive me? I promise I will NEVER let it happen again. " Derek said.
He was about to go into the begging mode.
Damn it, I wish he would not do that. It's hard to resist his begging.
I sighed. Still, if he is really and truly sorry I guess I can find it in my heart to forgive him.
"OK" I said, softly.
"Thank you so much, baby girl." Derek said, smiling and pulling me into a kiss.
When we pulled away, he looked at me and said, "I will make this up to you, I promise."
I smiled a small smile. I am feeling a little better but I must admit my heart is still slightly broke.
Derek POV
Man, my big mouth and my stupidity has REALLY gotten me in trouble this time.
Cameron says she forgives me but I know she is still hurting and upset.
It's all over that pretty face of hers.
I'm gonna have to do something to show her how truly sorry I am
And fast.
Cameron POV
So, Derek and I continued about our lives, (together of course).
A few days later, I was still feeling hurt.
I sighed as I left the ring.
I have been to practice for the match I have coming up tomorrow night.
It's sad to say but my heart was not completely into it because I guess that I am STILL hurting.
I guess I can't get over it.
But I guess that since I have already told Derek that I forgive him, I am going to have to find a way
to move past this.
Otherwise, I'm headed toward making myself VERY unhappy.
I got out of my car and headed into the house.
It looks as if Derek is not home.
I sighed as I opened the door. I was feeling tired so
I immediately headed toward the bedroom. I could
use a nap.
When I walked into the bedroom, however, I could not believe my eyes and I really kind of
forgot about being tired.
Here is why.
My bedroom was covered with flowers.
And I mean lots of flowers.
I was honestly in shock.
"Oh my God, they are beautiful." I said to myself.
"Not as beautiful as you." A voice said.
I jumped and then I turned around.
There I noticed Derek standing at the doorway.
When I looked at him, he gave me a smile.
And then he began talking."Cameron, I'm sooo sorry for everything, baby girl. I should have never cheated on you with Heather, a girl that has hurt me in the past more than you can ever imagine. And then I'm also sorry for hurting your feelings. It has absolutely killed me knowing in my heart how much I have hurt you. I promise to never EVER do it again."
"Derek, I already said that I forgive you." I pointed out.
"Yes, but I know you are still hurting so please accept this sincere apology from the bottom of my heart."
"I accept it." I said, with a smile.
"Thank you." He said, kissing my cheek and then smiling. "Now....... I have something else."
With that being said, he got down on one knee and took one of my hands in his.
"Cameron, my baby, I love you more than words could ever express." Derek said, and then reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. "That is why I feel now is the time to ask you a very important question. "
He then looked deep into my eyes."Cameron Brooks, the love of my life, will you marry me?"
I was unable to speak for a couple of minutes.
Then I felt tears coming, however, this time they were happy tears.
I was very quick in giving him a answer.
"Yes, yes, Derek, of course, I will marry you."
With that being said, he pulled me into a passionate kiss that I swear lasted for at least fifteen minutes.
"I love you baby." He said, winking at me.
"I love you too." I said.
Well, folks, Derek kept his word about not cheating on me.
Not only that , he has become much more attentive and tries,to,watch his mouth to keep,from saying hurtful things.
So far it is going great.
Derek and I will be getting married in about a month.
Saying that I am excited for this would be a total understatement.
I am ecstatic.
I will be marrying the man of my dreams.
Right now I honestly feel that things can not get any better for me.
