Chapter 1 Part 2:A Mere Healer

I'll do my best to not get caught

Omen thought and quietly crouched. He overheards what they were talking about.

"Do you see it too?"
"Yeah! Totally Jett is so obvious!"
"Shhh if she heard you she'll throw a knife at you!"

Two girls seems to be talking about Jett but the conversation wasn't that clear. Omen sticks his ear to the wall, trying to hear better. It worked, the conversation sounds a little bit clearer.

"How could Sage not see?"
"Mhm! She said they're 'bestfriends' but they act like a married couple!"

Omen widen his eyes gasping in the conversation quietly. Why does Reyna want me to spy on Jett? Does she like Jett?

"Well what do we know they might be something else more than bestfriends-"
"Cypher?! Can you stand?"
"Well I did walk to you guys..."

Omen takes a quick peek at the window of the room seeing Raze, Killjoy and Cypher having a conversation. "OMEN!" Cypher shouted seeing Omen from the window. Omen quickly goes back to their (Attackers) living room. "Back already Omen?" Reyna lightly dissatisfied that Omen didn't stay longer. "Yes apologies the eyes had caught me" Omen explained to Reyna sitting on the couch.

"You will not like this" Omen warning Reyna about what he had overheard. Reyna looked hesitant but this is what she wanted, to spy on Jett. "Go on" Reyna said not minding her nervousness. "This 'Jett' might have interest in Sage-" Omen layed down on the couch chilling.

"k" Reyna blurted out out of the sudden, trying to keep her calm but her eyebrows were clearly nit happy about it. Omen looked at her with a little bit of sass in his eyes and cleared his throat. "But they said they're just bestfriends." Omen continued while Reyna's eye brows calms down. "However they said they act like a married couple-" The tattooed girl shoots him a deadly gaze piercing through Omens cloak.

Perhaps Reyna does like Jett having me to spy on her...

Omen thought to himself noticing the lethal expression of the female Mexican. The woman falls into a deep thought giving her more reason why she should put more hatred into both of them. "That information is enough" Reyna hissed at Omen. Clack Clack Clack footsteps could be heard loudening every second, both of them looks into the direction where it was coming from. "Next mission will be at split. We better not slack off..." The venomous woman in a lab coat revealed herself narrowing her eyes to both of them.

"Perfect" said the mexican who just had the perfect plan. Viper had arched her brow curious about the plan Reyna had in mind.

"Why was Omen here and what does he want?" Cypher said in a serious tone in his voice; examining the window carefully while Killjoy and Raze look outside the window if there's anything suspicious around. Just in time Sage had entered the scene confused on what exactly is going on. "What happened here?" The chinese woman asked Cypher. The eyes of the group had only said one word to answer. "Omen" Sage rushed over the window to Cypher. "Are you hurt?" She said examining the male.

The girls outside had caught Sage's attention and shouted. "ARE YOU GUY'S OKAY?" Sage looked over them worried. She quickly rushed over them outside getting ready to heal them. "Did you get into a fight with Omen?" She asked them with an orb on her hand. The two girls laughed at her actions. "No! Of course we're not hurt. We're just checking if he did something suspicious outside." Raze explained chuckling at the worry wart. She puts back her orb and examined both of them, with them looking normal and not hurt. Sage calms down and asks them what was Omen's deal.

" We have no idea but it's probably not something nice" Raze answered seriously while Killjoy nodded in agreement. Cypher puts up a camera in the window just in case something else happens. "There's nothing out here let's go back in" Killjoy said already ahead going back in. Sage looks at the area near the window suspicious about Omen.

Whatever that Omen is planning he's not going to hurt anyone.

Sage followed both of the girls back in. "Next mission at split, Pheonix still needs some rest" A full grown man walked in the living room with some bandages wrapped in his arms. "We still got 2 weeks of rest till the mission." Jett said walking behind Brimstone's back. The atmosphere was very serious at the current moment. "We'll need to be more careful I heard that scientist will be going this mission. We all know how deadly her poison is" Jett continued to bring news while crossing her arms. Raze glanced at Killjoy for a bit and she could swear she was smiling at the ground as Jett mention the scientist.

Sage walked away from the living room going to her own room. Jett noticed but didn't dare to follow, thought she must need to think how the mission will go. She enters her room and flopped into her bed tired.

Omen is plotting something, his target might be Jett since she's the one who shot him...

The chinese woman thought as she bury her face into the cold pillow terrified of what they have up on their sleeves.

We better be cautious of their next move...

Sage slowly falls into a deep slumber having a good rest after a long while.

Omen walks out to the shooting range to check up on Reyna.

"Reyna you've been here for hours now, give yourself a break" He looks at her slightly worried. The girl looks back to Omen far behind her. "I don't need a break..." She replied then continue practicing her accuracy. It was almost perfect. She shoots every single target without hesitation. Before firing a bunch of bullets into the last one.

"Damn you take that" She muttered to herself while shooting the last one. Omen takes a few steps forward Reyna. "Lets get you in-" The man in cloak holds the girls arm gently. "Get your hand off me" Reyna hissed at him as he quickly lets go of her.

"Do you really want to kill Sage that bad?" He crossed his arms noticing the last target. The girl was zipped silent, she didn't bother to respond. Perhaps she didn't expect such question from Omen. "Dont worry about it Reyna. She's just a mere healer" The cloaked person reassured her taking one step closer to the girl. A smile had formed into his face. Reyna looks at the dummy she had shot a thousand times picturing it as Sage. A feeling she has felt by that very moment, although she didn't know what it was. She didn't like it but she just brushed it off. "You're right" Reyna looks back at Omen and smirked at him. They both went back inside their base and Reyna rested in.
