Yoongi's glowing and satisfied smile was the best response he could have received. And at that moment he promised himself that he would do what was in his power so that that smile would never go away.

"Are you sure I can dress like this? We're talking about your parents, Hyung. I don't want them to think that I don't care about their opinion or that I have no manners. I want to make a good impression on them."

"Hmm, you may be right." Yoongi weighed in. "If you're naked, you will surely impress them."

"You're the worst, Hyung," Jungkook said as he dropped his head against the closet door.

"What? You are the one who wants to impress them."

At that moment, Taehyung made an appearance. The boy raised an eyebrow when he saw that Jungkook was still dressed in shorts. Despite having most of his clothes at Yoongi's house, he still had something left in Taehyung and Jimin's apartment, especially the more formal or party clothes.

"You're still not ready?"

"He wants to impress my parents," Yoongi explained with a shrug.

"Oh." Taehyung frowned upon seeing Jungkook rummaging through his closet. "I don't know if Yoongi Hyung told you, but you don't have to wear a tux or anything like that."

"I've told him." Yoongi, who was sitting on Jungkook's bed with his legs crossed and his hands resting behind him, assured.

"I'm not wearing a tux," Jungkook replied, rolling his eyes, "but I want to wear something that makes a good impression, you know?"

"I may get into where they don't call me, but... That Yoongi Hyung has told his parents he has found his soulmate and that he wants them to meet him, is more important to them than the way he is that you got dressed."

"I've also told him," Yoongi said, rolling his eyes.

"Yes, and he also told me that if I wanted to make a good impression, go naked." The boy said, crossing his arms and glaring at him.

"I can't believe it, really?" Taehyung asked with one hand on his chest and his eyes wide.

"Of course not."

"Of course yes." Jungkook corrected it. "You're a pervert, Hyung."

"Only with you, darling." He said with a wink and a lopsided smile.

Jungkook rolled his eyes in annoyance to hide the blush that had taken over his cheeks. Taehyung was open-mouthed at the additional information.

"So you said it."

When Yoongi responded to Taehyung with a smile, he pounced on him laughing, as Taehyung knew there was something serious in that comment.

"My little Hyung has finally grown up," Taehyung said as he wiped away a nonexistent tear.

"Fuck you, Tae. I'm older than you."

"Yes, but your sex life was so repetitive and bland."

"Hey, I've never told you anything about my sex life," Yoongi complained as he tried, uselessly, to get away from the boy's bear hug.

"You don't have to say it for me to know," Taehyung replied with a smile that showed all of his teeth.

"What the hell is going on here?!" Everyone froze when they heard Jimin's voice, who was at the door with his arms akimbo. "If we don't go out now, we're really going to be late. And what are you doing still dressed like this, Jungkookie?"

"He wants to impress my parents."

"I tried to advise him, but you know how it gets." Taehyung lied cheekily, causing Yoongi to squirm with laughter and Jungkook to glare at him.

"God, I swear I don't understand how you can face those shadows like nothing, and then you get stuck when you have to choose something to wear," Jimin said, rolling his eyes.

"It's a special occasion, Hyung!" Jungkook complained as he watched Jimin come over and rummage through his closet - not that there was too much to choose from.

"I know, and that's why ... You're going to wear this."

Jimin threw him the clothes he had chosen in a matter of seconds: tight jeans, a white T-shirt and a black windbreaker.

"You can wear Timberlands you like so much too. And don't even think about complaining." Jimin warned, pointing a finger at him. "You wanted to impress, right? Well, there you have it. Those pants mark your thighs and ass, and the jacket gives you a sexy touch."

"I love you, Hyung."

"I know, Jungkookie, I know. Now hurry or we'll be late."

If it hadn't been for Jimin's divine intervention, they really would have been late. His parents were aware of the long way they had to travel from the capital to their city, so if they had been late, they would have understood. But Jimin was obsessed with punctuality, just like Jin, and nothing and no one was standing in his way when it came to being on time.

"Well, we've already arrived folks," Yoongi announced once he parked in front of his house.

Yoongi and Taehyung grew up being neighbours, so the distance between the two houses wasn't that great, just a couple of meters. Taehyung and Jimin agreed to stop by his house in the afternoon at snack time to say hi to his mother before going for a walk around town. After the boys said goodbye, and Taehyung and Jimin drifted off into the distance, Yoongi and Jungkook started picking up their respective suitcases.

"Everything is going to be fine, Kookie. They are going to love you."

The boy had been unusually quiet the entire ride, clearly worried about the encounter. Jimin and Taehyung had made it their mission to get the young man to stop thinking about it and distract him with the topics they knew interested him. But after a while, and as usual, the thread of the conversation went in other directions, and the other couple ended up talking about their things, mired in their own world in the back seat. Yoongi knew there wasn't much he could do while he was driving, so he just put his free hand - if circumstances allowed - on Jungkook's thigh, gently squeezing it. Jungkook responded to the gesture by putting his own hand over his, intertwining their fingers and giving it a little squeeze.

"But what if they don't like me? What if they think I'm not good for you? Or that I am not enough?"

Yoongi was speechless at Jungkook's questions. He thought the boy was worried about making a good impression, but he didn't know that the root of it all was something so deep.

"Hey, look at me." Yoongi ordered him gently as he took Jungkook's face in his hands. "Trust me: they are going to love you. And what difference does it make if they don't like you? They can't decide for me either way."

"But they are your parents, Hyung. Their opinion is important to you." Jungkook said with his voice tight from the lump that was forming in his throat.
