"You are not the first to tell me that today." Jungkook had answered when the young woman let him breathe.

Without waiting for another second, Yoonseul dragged him to where Jimin was.

"I told you he's been eating his head. He always does the same thing."

Jimin just laughed and closed the gap between them. And just when Jungkook was about to apologize to him, Jimin beat him to it.

"Yoonseul-ah told me everything. About what you saw that day and what happened after. I'm not going to lie to you, the truth is that I was quite surprised when I found out because I thought you should have told me," he said while twisting his mouth was frowning, "but surely I wouldn't have believed you and called you liars."

"That's what we thought," Jungkook replied. "Anyway, I'm sorry you had to find out that way. It wasn't pleasant at all."

"It isn't, but at least I don't have someone by my side who only thinks about being popular."

Even though Jimin, and by extension the entire institute, knew the real story, it didn't mean that he was eager to take in. Even though he knew he was better off alone and a burden had been lifted from him, it had all happened too fast to take in. His ex had enough time to fall out of love if he ever was, but Jimin didn't. He was sad, not because he no longer had a boyfriend, but because the one he loved had played with him, used him for his selfish purposes, and then dumped him like shit.

"Well, enough talking about depressing things," Yoonseul spoke. "Since we are at your place, you should show us how sorry you are and spend the afternoon with us."

And that's how the weekend and the days that followed went by. While they were in high school, they saw each other at recess, and when classes ended, they always ended up at one of their homes or somewhere else. Not even during the Christmas holidays did they lose contact. Jimin's family spent the holidays with his grandparents, who lived on the outskirts of town; Yoonseul's family was large, five uncles and I don't know how many cousins, so they all tried to organize themselves to be able to coincide, even if it was only for a couple of days. She kept complaining about how tiring it was to be around, but when she talked about her family and what they had been up to during the day, you could almost see her loving smile through her cell phone. Jungkook for his part did not have much family to visit,

Despite spending most of his time at home with his parents and brother Jonghyuk, who was finally free from the shackles of college, Jungkook did not feel alone. He spent most of his time drawing, something he did better and better, either inside the house or outside when the cold and snow gave a truce. Other times he visited the tree and the fairies and, if he was lucky, Hana as well. Certainly, it was not the busiest Christmas of his life, but hearing his friends so happy and having a good time gave him life, it was as if they had not left. Or maybe it was the fact that he knew that at the end of the holidays they would see each other again.

After the holidays, the three of them were inseparable. They kept reminiscing about their vacation experiences, something Jungkook was a bit envious of, but the healthy one. Far was the boy who did not want to be related to anyone except his family and his drawings. Now he wanted to connect with others, make the odd friendship outside his circle of three, but he found himself unable to start a conversation without sounding forced or uncomfortable. Deep down, he wanted to prepare for the final moment when he would have to say goodbye to his friends.

Time ran its course, and in a few months, Jimin would graduate. He wanted to study performing arts and become a professional dancer, live off his passion. Yoonseul and Jungkook wanted to do the same, study fine arts, he specializing in illustrations or something else that involved drawing, while she would go more into the branch of photography and visual production. They still had a way to go, but at least they had an idea of what they wanted.
