At last, he could do what he loved most after music: sleep.

It had been about three weeks since Yoongi returned home and his life returned to its usual rhythm.

Jin was still in charge of preparing food for him; it was his way of making sure Yoongi ate something other than just coffee or Ramyeon. It hadn't been an instantaneous thing, but the concern had disappeared from the eyes of his friends, and now they were relaxed and sure that the shadows were completely gone.

Yoongi, for his part, kept trying to resolve the confusion that was taking place inside him. His life without the shadows was something wonderful: no strange noise and rest assured. He might have enjoyed this more if it weren't because his mind kept reminding him he had an unfinished business involving his other half.

The first few days after he had talked to Jimin were completely normal. Even after returning to work, his life remained the same as ever, full of musical notes, melodies, arrangements, lyrics, and overtime. But he was happy because he could do what he liked and earned money for it.

However, some days weren't perfect. There were days when he was too tired from work and just wanted to lie in bed and sleep for three days straight. Those days when his mind was overloaded, the dream seemed to run away from him. No matter what he did or what home remedy he used, his eyes stayed open until finally, after three hours, they closed.

Those nights, Yoongi had nightmares.

They weren't as vivid as the ones he had when he was in the shadows, but they were still overwhelming. Most of the time he would dream that he was running away from something or someone, and he wouldn't stop running and running until he ended up waking up. He could take it as a reflection of his current situation with this soulmate thing, but he preferred not to think too much about it. Other times he felt observed as if someone invisible was accompanying him in his dreams. The feeling was not pleasant and reminded him too much of shadows. They were just nightmares, but with the experiences he'd had, he couldn't help but think about the possibility that they might have come back, which was not the case.

Ultimately, he was still having nightmares, like any other human being. Sometimes they had to do with shadows, and sometimes they didn't. The only thing constant in all these situations is that, during or after the nightmares, Jungkook took care to reassure him. And he knew it was him because in his dreams that violet and a golden light appeared that turned the nightmare into a peaceful dream. If the nightmare was so intense that he ended up suddenly waking up, his gem shone like time he was cleaning his house, inducing a state of relaxation that allowed him to fall asleep again.

Yoongi was completely sure it was Jungkook. There were too many similarities between it not to be him. He still did not know if the boy was aware of what his gem was doing or if he could control it, but it was still surprising that it helped him whenever he found himself in these kinds of situations. Yoongi hoped the boy didn't understand what his gem was doing because otherwise, he would feel tremendously guilty for not having called or texted him to talk.

Actually, he already felt guilty.

Jimin had said nothing to him about Jungkook since that day at Jin's house, but Yoongi felt his gaze as if it were something palpable. Not that Jimin was looking at him harshly, as if he was judging him. His gaze was full of hope, and on certain occasions, sadness and disappointment.

When everyone got together, he was careful with talking about Jungkook, not wanting to mention his name excessively for fear that Yoongi would think he was imposing it on him in some way. An unnecessary gesture, really, because the rest of his friends did not cut a hair when talking about the boy, how adorable he was, how good he was at drawing, and dancing, and many other things to the ones that Yoongi didn't pay much attention to. The boy had fully integrated into his group of friends in less than a month,

Maybe he was being over the top with all this Jungkook being his soul mate. Seeing that his friends had welcomed him into their circle of friends as if he were one more as if there had always been a place unoccupied with his name, Yoongi concluded maybe he should stop hiding and talk to Jungkook in person, explain the reason for your refusal. There were many reasons for rejecting it, but also many other reasons not to. In the end, Jimin's words, which echoed in his head like it was a broken record, and what he had been experiencing with his gem after connecting with Jungkook, made him decide.

With a grunt of resignation, Yoongi got up from the table. The others, oblivious to the thoughts that had been plaguing his head, suddenly fell silent as Yoongi stood up with a frown.

"Is something wrong, Yoongi?" Jin asked worriedly. In his hand he was holding the coffee he had ordered and was about to drink when Yoongi got up.

It was another of those days when their schedules coincided and allowed them to meet all together for a drink. As was customary, Yoongi would get into his world and turn to whatever was on his mind as soon as he sat down. He paid just enough attention to what his friends were talking about, but it was more of background noise than anything else. His friends didn't mind it, they knew very well that Yoongi got lost in his thoughts and they were more than pleased that they could get him out of their house.

"It's nothing," Yoongi replied. And then he turned to Jimin, who was sitting on the opposite side of the table. "Jimin-ah."

The aforementioned stiffened for a moment, surprised by Yoongi's serious tone. "Yes?"

"Give me Jungkook's number." Actually, he still kept the role Jimin had given him, but he wanted others to remain oblivious to that knowledge.

If he had been in another situation, Yoongi would have laughed out loud at Jimin's expression. In a single second, Yoongi could see hundreds of emotions in his Dongsaeng's eyes, from bewilderment to hope to relief and pride. Around him, the others seemed to have stopped breathing, and if it weren't for Yoongi seeing them blink, he would think they had died of shock. After saving Jungkook's number to his mobile, the reactions were immediate.

"Are you really going to do it, Hyung?" Taehyung asked him wide-eyed, though Yoongi wasn't sure if the boy expected Yoongi to reject or accept Jungkook.

"Of course he's going to do it, Tae. That is why he asked for your number." Hoseok told him rationally.

"I know, but is he going to ...?"

"Are you sure what you are going to do, Yoongi Hyung?" Namjoon interrupted, who was gaping at him as if he wanted to read his thoughts.

"I think I've already delayed this for too long." He replied, without clarifying his true intentions.

"Are you going to reject him?" Jin asked with his head cocked.

He had placed the cup on the table and was looking at Yoongi as if his answer was the most interesting thing in the world. He had asked the million-dollar question, and everyone wanted to know the answer.

Even he didn't know what the answer to that question was. He no longer knew whether it was right to reject him or accept him. He didn't even know what he was committing to if he accepted it: a relationship? Too soon. A friendship? There was a possibility, but he still wasn't sure. It all depended on how his encounter with Jungkook was.

"We'll see." He replied as he walked away from the table and toward the cafeteria exit.

He didn't do it fast enough, and his answer had given him enough wakefulness, for he could hear Hoseok's distinctive voice encouraging him. "Go for him, Hyung! We trust you."

The only ones who seemed to have understood the message were Jimin and Jin, while the other two were trying to shut them up and complaining that they were inviting him to reject the poor boy. Yoongi just rolled his eyes and picked up his cell phone once he was outside the cafeteria. He texted Jungkook to find out when they could see each other and talk. The answer was immediate. Just a couple of minutes after sending the message, the boy replied telling him he had the entire afternoon free. After that, Yoongi sent him the location of the meeting place and the time.
