The 2008 Mumbai attacks (also referred to as 26/11) were a series of terrorist attacks that took place in November 2008, when 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, an extremist Islamist organisation based in Pakistan, carried out 12 coordinated shooting and bombing attacks lasting four days across Mumbai. The dreadful night of 26/11 has been etched in the memories of Mumbaikars. Pakistan later confirmed that the sole surviving perpetrator of the attacks was a Pakistani citizen. On 9 April 2015, the foremost ringleader of the attacks, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, was released on bail and disappeared. In 2018, former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif suggested that the Pakistani government played a role in the 2008 Mumbai attack.

Today was a day when people lost dear ones and love ones. The attack on hotel tag was heart wrenching and sad. It was just on 26/11/2008.

Islamist organisation based in Pakistan attacked places in mumbai. Pakistan has always been our enemy and had done many bad things and this incident was worse.

The attacks lasted for about 4 days killing many precious lives and families. They did different attacks in 12 different patterns. There were about 170 people dead and were mourned with great respect.

About 10 terrorists attacked. They used bombs, kept people hostage and shooting methods. They used weapons like Ak-47 and RDX. Many great soldiers also were martyred saving the lives who were kept hostage in the Taj hotel. The hotel as well as the whole mumbai was devastated and swept with a wave of fear.

But soon the hotel and Mumbai got recovered so did the people, it took time but we were strong. And this incident made people ready for next time that if next time this kind of situation arrives than we will be very well prepared and will fight back with great strength.
