I feel as if it is needed to bring this to attention again and again.
I've had an encounter with a friend who had faced harsh misogyny, and I feel horrible and frustrated.
I won't name names and nor will I talk about the incident, but I just want you all to know that I'm here. For all those out there suffering, I want you to know that we're here. Every girl, every woman out there is there for you and even if we can't do anything, please know that we wish with all our heart that you're okay, truly okay.
I don't know who needed to hear this, but do know that you are not alone. At your lowest, you remember that there are people who care, even if they don't know you. Lift your head, push your shoulders and smile, for a simple smile can be deadly.
