Destinee sat down with her mother as they talked to the realtor, today was the day that Normani's offer she put towards the house either gets accepted or declined.

It seemed like she was waiting forever for her offer to come back but in reality she was only waiting a day.

"I know you're not here to hear me continuously ramble." The realtor spoke, "But I do have some good news, your offer has been accepted."

Destinee squealed loudly, a few people who were also sitting in the Cafe looked at her weirdly. Ignoring their stares she looked over at her mother who also had a big smile plastered on her face.

This was a step to new beginnings.

After signing what seemed like hundreds of papers they were free to go. Her lease is up in a few more weeks which gave her the time she needed to disinfect and clean the house before moving in.

The rest of the money she had saved up was definitely going towards new furniture, she didn't want to bring anything from her current apartment.

She had promised to get Destinee out of the projects, she refused to let her daughter grow up and become one of those girls. She was glad that Destinee met TJ, he kept her head on straight, he would never tell Destinee the wrong thing or let her follow up the crowd. She loves having him as a son-in-law.

She could tell that her daughter was happy which always brought a smile on her face. Destinee was glowing, maturing, and getting thicker. She prayed for her daughter's happiness every night.

"Soo" Destinee spoke up, "this distance between us is killing me! I feel like I haven't been home in forever, I'm coming back home."

"Too much shit has been happening in the neighborhood lately, police has been speeding through almost every night, I want to settle in the new house where it's safe at first."

"Ma I'm fine. I stay out of trouble and I stay to myself. Plus TJ is gonna be tired of me eventually, I'm getting an attitude like yours and I hate it."

Normani laughed at her daughter. She couldn't deny the fact that Destinee's attitude has been changing, she's becoming smart mouthed like her mother.

"He loves you Destinee, he'll never be tired of you."

Destinee choked, she was caught off guard. "Love? He hasn't told me that yet."

"But it's obvious, the way he stares at you shows it. Maybe he's scared to say it, he was in love with the last female he talked to only for her to play him."

"I love him.." Destinee mumbled thinking her mother didn't hear, "well at least I think I do, being in a relationship is new to me. I'm scared of rejection, what if it's too early.."

"Love doesn't have a time frame, it's never too early to feel as if you love someone."

Instead of replying she rested her head against the window remaining quiet for the rest of their car ride home.

Hours had passed and she ended up with TJ, the boys, and Kierra. The boys laughed at each other as they played call of duty competing against eachother. The girls sat there quiet in their own worlds.
